At your first opportunity, use the Smash skill to nearby enemies. This powerful attack skill will send them flying. If your enemy repeats the cycle of retreating and defending at your coming onslaught, don't hesitate to seize the battle initiative by using a powerful skill like Smash.

Details

  • Attacks the target with one strong blow.
  • At Rank 5, this skill can cause Splash Damage.
    • The Radius and Angle of the splash is dependent on the weapon used.
  • Knocks down the opponent and causes them to fly back a distance of 1000.
  • Bypasses the Defense skill.
  • Normal Attack, Counterattack, Lance Counter, Combo: Counter Punch, Windmill, Charge, and Lance Charge can intercept Smash.
    • If the splash from Smash hits an enemy using Counterattack, Smash will be cancelled and the user will hit by the Counterattack.
  • When used with a Two-Handed Weapon, the Damage and Critical rate increases by 20% and 5%, respectively.
  • If two parties try to Smash each other, the person with the better connection and/or most up-to-date attack order will be dealing the damage.
  • A few monsters automatically strike the player if Smash is used against them as first hit. See Instinctive Reaction for more information.
  • Smash cannot be used with a Atlatl, Bow, Crossbow, or Dual Gun equipped.
  • Actions other than loading skills or using Tumble or Assault Slash may not be taken until the entire animation completes.
  • Attempting to Smash an enemy with Windmill loaded will cause Windmill to immediately execute, effectively countering the smash.
    • This will also occur against players but only if the player has Reserve Attack enabled.
  • While being attacked by Smash, the target is immune to all damage except from Self Destruct.
  • When using a Shuriken, you are required to be directly in the middle of the target to execute smash.
  • Smash has a chance to inflict a debuff. Debuff activation is indicated by an additional animation during the smash.
  • Prerequisite for learning Bash (at rank 9).

Advancement Arena Testing

When entering the arena you're given approximately 60 seconds to arrange and prepare skills. Monsters will spawn at planned intervals. For the 1st dan exam, the first set is a group of Green Gremlin followed by 1 Giant Worm with higher damage and hp than natural spawns. After those two are the spawning of a group of Gnoll followed by Red Sickle Laghodessa complete with windmill, followed by a group of Red Kobold

As the battle continues on, you may be lucky enough to get your hands on a rare item from the enemies you kill. Shields, extra swords, and Hp and Stamina potions are all available.
