Description

A skill that allows you to make Fine Firewood and Bows. Chopping firewood may be hard work, but once you start making quality goods, people will start asking for favors. To use the Carpentry skill, you must use the Carpentry Workbenches at the Dugald Aisle Logging Camp or the Emain Macha Puppet Shop.

The woodworking part of carpentry

• Carpentry is a form of production that utilizes Firewood to produce wooden weapons.
  • Please see the Carpentry List for a list of possible items that can be produced by Carpentry and for success rates.
• Carpentry requires a Lumber Axe for chopping wood or a Woodworking Plane for shaping and fashioning wood. Both tools can be purchased from Tracy.
• Dugald Aisle is the only location where both forms of Carpentry can be performed. Chopping Blocks and Carpentry Workbenches can be placed in a Homestead. Carpentry Workbenches can also be found in Emain Macha.
• Like Potion Making, Blacksmithing and Tailoring, Dexterity has no influence on Carpentry.
• The rate of successfully chopping wood is 40% + Carpentry Rank Bonus + Production Mastery Bonus.
  • Upon success, there is a:
    • 82% chance of receiving normal Firewood.
    • 15% chance of receiving Average Firewood.
    • 3% chance of receiving Fine Firewood.
• Higher grades of firewood produced by Carpentry amplify the effects of the following:
  • Campfire regeneration rate.
  • Enchant burning success rate.
  • Reduced refining success rate at Vales's Old Furnaces.

Bow Grades

• When crafting a bow, the game will tell you the stat bonuses and a message regarding the quality.
  • B: "Your creation is far superior to anything you can get from a store."
  • B+: "Your efforts created an above-average item!"
  • A/A+: "Your hard work produced a very nice item!"
• Players with the Carpentry talent active will receive an additional 1 Minimum Damage and 2 Maximum Damage to weapons crafted.
• Players with the Carpentry Grandmaster talent unique effect will receive an additional 1 Minimum Damage and 1 Maximum Damage to weapons crafted.
• A quality of 80 or above is required for the crafter's signature to be placed onto the item.
• The following table shows how much the stats of the equipment increases at which grade.

Objectives	Purchase a Lumber Axe and equip it. Purchasing one is not actually necessary, only equipping. Gather one Average Firewood. Deliver the Average Firewood to Tracy.

Training Method

• Gathering wood from a tree with a Gathering Axe will count towards the "Chop wood to gather Firewood" training method.
• Starting from Rank 8, training requirements include making bows that require Leather Straps, Thin Thread Ball or Thick Thread Ball, created by Weaving. From Rank 6 and beyond, creation of these bows is needed to advance into further ranks.
• Making a "high quality Bow" means making a bow that labels your creation "Godly".
