Aqua Volley
Description
Through alchemical refinement, water can be condensed to such pressure that it is harder than standard arrowheads. Water Crystals made to these specifications are fused to arrows and sent soaring, attacking all enemies within a wide range. Can also be aimed in one direction to deal heavy damage. This skill uses the force of Magnum Shot, and so is affected by Magnum Shot's damage. To use, you will need Water Crystals and crystals of one other element. Details
- Requires a Bow or Crossbow and the respective Missile to use.
- The skill uses 5 Water Crystals and 5 crystals of the selected element.
- Fills the Water attribute marble by 20% and the secondary element by 10%.
- Due to Hermetic Harmony's effect, the player must first select a secondary element with the number keys:1, 3 or 4 keys before using Aqua Volley. The skill is 2 (Water), by default.
- Humans are forced to walk with this skill loaded unless they are equipped with a Crossbow; Elves are able to run while equipped with a Bow.
- Fires a volley of Magnum Shots laced with Water Crystals; the user can choose to let go of the skill button sooner for a wider attack, or let the skill charge to deal more damage at the cost of the area of effect.
- Aqua Volley has a wide arc of ~60° ∠ at the beginning of the charge which quickly concentrates to a narrower arc of ~12° ∠. A sound indicates when the arc is at its narrowest.
- All targets within the displayed area will be hit by the skill, however the attack cannot pierce through obstructions such as rocks and walls.
- Once the user has clicked a target and starts to charge the skill, Aqua Volley can no longer be canceled and the user must fire the skill even if it means hitting nothing.
- Clicking anywhere on the screen or letting go of the skill button will discharge the skill.
- After ~30 seconds the skill will automatically discharge.
- The player will be pushed back a short distance after Aqua Volley is used.
- The user's Magnum Shot multiplier is added to this skill's multiplier.
- Effects that strengthen Magnum Shot will apply their damage this skill, such as its damage Reforge and Yellow Echostone line, its set effect, Glyph, and the innate bonus present on Demolition Breaker Bow and Bow of Ruination.
- When used by a Link 8 Alchemic Sharpshooter, the time needed to reach maximum charge is halved and the skill deals an additional 30% damage when fully charged.
- As a side effect, it can make it more difficult to fire this skill for maximum AoE; the user needs to be ready to click the skill immediately to avoid accidentally shrinking the effective area too much.
