Magic Weapon Mastery

Description

This skill improves the effectiveness of Magic Weapons. The more you train the skill, the more powerful your bolt magic will become with a Magic Weapon. This will also decrease the casting time for Fireball, Ice Spear, and Thunder magics.

Details

• Passively increases the damage of Icebolt, Firebolt, and Lightning Bolt and decreases the casting time of Fireball, Thunder, and Ice Spear when equipped with a Wand or Staff.
  • Due to the mechanics of Blaze, it does not benefit from reduced casting time despite being treated as Intermediate Magic.
• Passively decreases the mana consumption of Bolt Magic when equipped with a Wand, and Intermediate Magic (including Blaze) when equipped with a Staff.
  • Mana reduction from Magic Weapon Mastery is calculated and applied separately from other sources (i.e. equipment and the user's Intelligence stat). With sufficient stats and gear it is possible to lower the mana costs of Intermediate and even Bolt Magic down to 0 MP.

Complete the quest Magic Basics in the Third Memoir.

• The skill will have training requirements up to Rank 9 completed.

Other Methods

• Create or rebirth a character and select the Druid Talent to be the active talent.
  • This method is not free, but is sometimes available for free via events.
  • Selecting the Druid Talent from character creation requires an Ace, Hero, or Elite Hero Character Card for character creation, or 39 Pon for rebirth.

Training Method

• When it says "with magic using a magic weapon", it means use a magic skill while equipped with a wand or staff. When it says "with a magic weapon", it means use a normal attack or melee skill with a wand or staff.
  • Requirements are still trained with a broken Magic Weapon.
• The Magic Weapon must be equipped at all times in order to receive training, especially during Fireball's, Thunder's, and Ice Spear's delayed effects.
