Allows you to draw patterns on Magic parchment using a Magic Quill. The completed design is preserved as a Glyph Imprint, which can be turned into a Glyph using the Glyph Formulation skill.

- This skill lets you create a pattern.
- Innapropriate Glyph Imprints may result in punitive actions against your account.
- Each time you will create a Glyph Imprint, you will be asked to confirm that it is not inappropriate.
- You need 1 Magic Quill Pen and 1 Magic Parchment in your inventory per design.
- While you create a design, your character will sit down at a desk.
Design Creation
- You can choose from a number of presets if you do not wish to make your own.
- To add a shape, click on the one you wish to add, then click on the circle area. The shape will be centered where you click, and you can adjust its size by moving the mouse outward.
- You can go back and resize the shape's size or move it around after it is placed down.
- The red dot is where the shape is centered, and the yellow dot, its size and orientation.
- You can make use of the grid to aid you in placing the shapes; it is toggled off by default.
- The number of shapes you can have in a single design depends on your rank, starting from 10 at rank F and capping at 50 at Rank 1. The Grandmaster effect lets you have 10 additional lines, bringing it to 60.
- You can mirror all shapes on the design vertically or horizontally.
- It is not possible to select only certain shapes to mirror.
- Copying a shape will place a copy of the chosen shape in the middle of the circle, its size and orientation the same as the original shape.
- You can only undo the last action you took.
Order
- The order in which the shapes appear can be adjusted by moving the shape up or down with the arrows.
- Checking the "Link above" box will have that specific shape appear at the same time than the shape immediately above it.
- You can check multiple shapes, even all of them so they all appear at once if you so wish.
Rank
- The resulting Imprint will have a randomly generated grade (1 to 6 stars). Your skill rank will affect the grade.
- The quality of the imprint will affect the rank of the formulated Glyphs made from it.
- The 6-star imprint appears as a gold-colored 5-star.

Colors
- The number and variety of colors available will depend on your rank.
- You can only choose one color for the whole design.
- At Rank 1, you can make use of Magic Ink to create Glyph designs in colors not normally available.
- The Neon variant of the colors will appear brighter and fuller when set down than their non-neon counterparts. This difference can be viewed from the preview design option.
- Hover over the image preview to see the in-game circle result.
- All ingame previews use the ground-targeting glyph type.

Obtaining the Skill
Training Method
Tips
- Note that at ranks N to A of the Glyph Formulation skill you will not be able to process Glyph Imprints with a quality above 2 stars. This can be troublesome for characters with high Int, since even at moderate levels of the Glyph Design skill the imprints they create are almost always 3 stars or higher. Hence it can be useful to delay ranking Glyph Design from F to E until you have built a suitable stockpile of 2 star Glyph Imprints. Glyph Design is a relatively easy skill to rank, even having a low AP cost if you decide to use AP training, so it is NOT problematic if this action means your Glyph Design rank temporarily lags your other Glyph skill ranks. If you end up with leftover 2 star Glyph Imprints, they sell easily in the auction house. (As do 5 star imprints. 3 and 4 star imprints are so common players often drop them.)
