Description
If a Firebolt [sic]like a flaming arrow, then a Fireball is like an explosive cannonball. Create an orb of fire by rapidly rotating elemental energies around a focal core. The spell arcs like a heavy cannonball due to the forces of gravity and inertia. |
Details
- Requires a Wand or Staff to use.
- A Fire-Type Wand or Divine Tribolt Wand will increase the damage of Fireball by 5%.
- An intermediate magic spell that focuses massive amounts of Fire Magic into a magic weapon to be released as a large flaming sphere which creates a giant explosion upon impact.
- This impact will cease all forms of Auto Charge.
- Fireball can be charged up to 5 times, each charge increasing damage up to a maximum of 6.5 charges worth of damage at 5 charges.
- At 4 or less charges, Fireball will do its base damage times the number of charges.
- This skill can be Auto Charged.
- The user cannot move with Fireball charged unless under the influence of Spellwalk.
- The user will lose one charge when knocked back.
- Fireball will not follow the designated target. It will strike the position of the target at the time the Fireball was launched; this means that it is possible for the target to evade the attack.
- The time from launch-to-impact is one second. The user is free to move and attack once Fireball has been launched.
- Non-player Fireballs have a two second launch-to-impact duration.

- Fireball will knock down all monsters within range, even if they have Mana Deflector.
- Knockdown is ignored on targets with Advanced Heavy Stander.
- Fireball is capable of hitting enemies over Barrier Spikes, regardless of who created them.
- Similar to Thunder and Ice Spear, Fireball ignores Magic Protection when calculating Critical chance.
- Between Thunder and Ice Spear, Fireball does the most amount of minimum damage and matches Thunder for maximum damage, but requires a large amount of Mana to charge and has the slowest charge time.
- The Wand/Staff will lose its Durability at Fireball's initial launching rather than its impact.
- Every 100 Intelligence decreases Mana Consumption and Casting Time of Fireball by 2%.
- The Casting Time is calculated as:
(Base Casting Time) / [(1 + Int / 5000) * (1 + (Wand Speed Boost)) * (1 + (Vivace Boost)) * (1 + (Magic Weapon Mastery Boost)]

- Obtaining this skill allows one to make Fireball Crystals via Mana Crystallization.
- Enabling Mini Effects causes the Fireball and the explosion to become invisible.
- Prerequisite for learning Meteor Strike (at rank 1).
