Transformation Diary

Basic Information
- The Transformation Diary keeps track of what creatures you can transform into.
- To "collect" a creature into the diary, simply defeat it or use a Shamala's Monster Transformation Medal.
- Capturing is chance-based, where each Creature has a base "Collection Chance", which can be increased by selecting the Adventure or Treasure Hunter Talent, equipping a Dream Catcher, and/or having the Transformation Enhancement Status Effect.
- The first effect is multiplicative, while the latter two are additive:
- A Basilisk is a Rank 8 Creature with a base Collection Chance of 19%.
- Having Adventure or Treasure Hunter as the active Talent multiplies the "Capture Rate" by 1.5x (rounded down), for +9%.
- A Dream Catcher of Blossoming Memories and the Transformation Enhancement Status Effect will each add a flat 10%.
- All bonuses together allow for a Collection Chance of
Floor(19% * 1.5) + 10% + 10% = 48%- This means that any Creature with a base Collection Chance of 55% killed will guarantee Collection, if all bonuses are active.
- The first effect is multiplicative, while the latter two are additive:
- The method in killing does not matter (e.g. pet finishes will still count as a capture). However, they must be your finishes and not another party member's.
- If the enemy kills itself with Self-Destruct, however, it will not count.
- You will have to collect the creature a certain amount of times in order to be able to transform into it. However, Shamala's Monster Transformation Medals only requires one collection.
- You may only collect creatures of your Transformation Mastery rank and below. However, Shamala's Monster Transformation Medals ignore this rule.
- Although medals can be used regardless of the creature's rank, the transformation cannot be used until Transformation Mastery is at that respective rank.
- Certain creatures will be automatically placed in the diary upon reaching their respective rank.
- Using Skill Reset Capsules to derank Transformation Mastery does not result the loss of entries in the Diary, however you will have to rerank the skill in order to be able to transform into the respective rank.
- Capturing is chance-based, where each Creature has a base "Collection Chance", which can be increased by selecting the Adventure or Treasure Hunter Talent, equipping a Dream Catcher, and/or having the Transformation Enhancement Status Effect.
- To "collect" an NPC, use Shamala's Transformation Medal.
- All NPC transformations are Rank Novice.
- Collecting creatures adds a fixed bonus to HP, Strength, Defense, or Magic Defense, depending on the creature, which activate upon transforming.
- In total, the bonuses add up to 234 HP, 60 Strength, 14 Defense, and 9 Magic Defense.
- All creatures provide an additional percentage stat bonus respective to the fixed bonus it provides when transformed into that creature.
- For example, a creature that provides a +1 fixed HP bonus will also provide a 25% percentage HP bonus.
- The bonus is an added percentage of the respective stat, but only applies to the collection bonus rather than the player's stats.
- Selecting the "Collect Mode" button displays what categories the creature belongs to under their name when Alt is held, colored yellow. If fully collected, it will display "Complete" in blue. If the player's Transformation Mastery Rank is below the creature's collect rank, it will say "Unavailable" in gray. If the creature does not fall into any category, it will say "Cannot Transform" in red.
