Crystal Ball

The Crystal Ball is a magical entity within a sphere. Its function differs depending on it's location. In Iria, the Crystal Ball in the Tutorial Fields offers tutorial quests to familiarize players with exploration. In Dunbarton's School Library, the Crystal Ball acts as a means to rewatch cutscenes from completed Mainstream Story quests for a small fee between 100 to 1000 gold. Players must fully complete a Generation to be able to rewatch its cutscenes. The Saga: Iria and The Saga: Iria II's cutscenes are not rewatchable here. These mainstream quests can be replayed at any time through the Chapter Info menu. As of the G25 Glyphwright update, the library Crystal Ball is up to date.

Trivia

• Crystal Ball is not present in the Scary Library.
• Before being updated, players who had yet to complete any Generation quests were told their "life was uninteresting." Now instead it shows the player an empty selection menu.
• The Generation 1: Advent of the Goddess cutscenes 'The Obstruction of the Dark Lord', 'The Resurrection of the Giant' and 'G1 Ending', and the Generation 3: Dark Knight cutscenes 'Ruairi and Morgant', 'Reunion of the Three Warriors', and 'G3 Ending' feature Tarlach and Mari as party members.
• The Generation 2: Paladin cutscene 'Triona' offers a unique experience to female characters who are age 15 and below. For an additional fee of 1000 gold, the player character can take the place of Triona in the cutscene.
• Regardless of the choices made in certain storylines, most of the time the alternate versions of cutscenes are available through the Crystal ball.
  • The only exceptions to this appears to be Generation 3's 'The Memory of Aodhan/Eavan' 'Epilogue - Aodhan/Eavan', which have two versions depending on if the player interacted with Aodhan or Eavan.
• The Generation 16: Macbeth 'Epilogue' briefly places the player in Rath Royal Castle Garden before teleporting them back to the Dunbarton Library.
  • Regardless of the Crystal Ball originally spoken to, the player is teleported to the lower left Crystal Ball.
• Generation 9: Alchemist has the most cutscenes available to rewatch; 40.
  • Conversely, Generation 20: The Gate of Sanctuary has the least; 7.
