Past
Teddy was given to Belisha Milester to help cope with her illness. Teddy was always there for Belisha, as she was kept alone in her room due to her illness. On Belisha's last day at the Milester Mansion, Teddy was left behind on a table in Belisha's bedroom, only to be possessed by the Trickster.
Present Day
The Trickster masquerades as a red-eyed evil Belisha and haunts the Milester Mansion. It fabricates a Halloween party and sends invitations out, then once the guests arrive, the real "party" begins as the Trickster sends the guests into a haunted, twisted version of the manor. The Trickster, in the form of the red-eyed Belisha, is seen in disturbing images as people wander the halls of the Cursed Labyrinth. Those who escape the labyrinth end up losing their memory of the events caused by the Trickster.
Trickster is actually Belisha's missing friend, Teddy, who went missing in the labyrinth.
According to Kristell, many who ventured to the Milester Mansion returned with strange tales. In fact, they return with no memories of going to the party, nor the events that happened regarding the evil Belisha. With their only clue being mysterious notes, Kristell deducts that the Trickster is responsible for the events of the mansion, using Belisha's image as a disguise. The Trickster may be inhabiting Teddy for a reason, placing all who attend the party in an endless cycle of the haunting events of the Trickster's pranks.
After the Milletian learns the truth from Kristell, they return to the Milester Mansion to confront the Trickster. They defeat the red-eyed Belisha, and the Trickster reveals its true form and attacks. After defeating the Trickster, the Milletian, assuming the rag doll is dead, leaves, but it gets up and states it will have another chance before making its exit and walks over to a portrait of Belisha and Teddy.
When the Milletian realizes they have been caught in the Trickster's loop once again, Kristell tells them that the issue will only be fixed if they undo the monster's acts. She also tells them that fighting may not be the key, but Belisha's Diary may hold the key to the puzzle, and suggests putting Teddy back into its original spot. The Milletian confronts the Trickster again, with the very same scenario and outcome occurring.
Again, the Milletian continues to be in the Trickster's trap and thus they continue to give Kristell more of Belisha's notes. She tells them that once Belisha's Diary is whole, they will be able to end the Trickster's game once and for all and regain all their lost memories. The Milletian confronts the Trickster again, with the very same scenario and outcome occurring.
After reading the completed diary, the Milletian returns to the Cursed Labyrinth to confront the Trickster for a fourth and final time. After defeating it, Belisha appears and grabs Teddy; by holding Teddy in her arms, Belisha frees Teddy from the Trickster and breaks the curse of the Milester Mansion. She then places Teddy on a table right in front of the portrait of her and it.
