Description

Her lilac hair, tied back to accommodate her nomadic lifestyle, swishes like leaves on the breeze. The large bag and old book hanging from her waist speak to her curiosity about the world. Her independent nature comes through in her confidence and easygoing smile.

History

Brielle is an archeologist who was formerly helped by the Milletian when they invoked dark powers that nearly consumed them. She is well known by Admiral Owen for her adventures, though Shayla doesn't think as highly of her. Her assistant is the talking puppet Gillach who the Milletian also helped during Brielle's invocation.

Brielle is a follower of Lymilark, having studied under Sister Kristell to atone for her mistakes. She also helped the Sister and her assistant Maydi with taking care of some orphaned children.

Brielle was an NPC present during the Moonlight Dreams Event.

Brielle is a mysterious, unconscious individual found alongside magical dolls and marionettes inside of the Secret Moonlight Hideout. She is the source of the dark energy that is plaguing Uladh and is also seemingly afflicted by some sort of curse. Her companion, Gillach, seeks to wake her from her slumber.

Brielle is actually a human who was born with an innate magical power; this power was so strong that eventually everyone began to fear her existence. After accidentally hurting many people with her uncontrollable power, she was abandoned as a child by her parents and community.

Living on the streets, she came across an abandoned marionette whom she named Gillach, and used her magical powers to empower it to listen and talk to her. To escape her condition among humanity, she created a magical world inside of a wardrobe full of similar marionettes and dolls. Driven by a desire to have human friends, Brielle fixated on turning a doll into a flesh-and-blood human. This led her to conduct dark experiments with other children, eventually using forbidden Fomor magic to bring Gillach to life.

Brielle succeeded in turning Gillach into a human, but the backlash from the spell placed her into a coma. It also released a dark curse over the entire continent of Uladh, which the Milletian is called in to investigate.

Gillach, as a human, requests the Milletian's help to undo the curse. After acquiring the required materials, Gillach conducts the ritual which undoes the Book of Anathema's magic. The curse on Brielle and Uladh is lifted but Gillach's human self vanishes.

Gillach is later found in the Old Puppet Shop having reverted to his original marionette form. The dark energy dissipates, Brielle awakens, and the two are reunited.

Brielle's name is a short form of Briallen, a name of Welsh origin derived from briallu, meaning primrose.^[1]
- This is also reflected in the file name of her track, NPC_Briallen.
Talking to Brielle while wearing either the Moonlight Dreams Warlock Attire (M) or Moonlight Dreams Witch Attire (F) will cause her to comment on it.
She likes spicy food and odd foods, such as juiced frog legs.
