Description
His arms bulge with well-toned muscles, almost as striking as the strange animal mask that hides his face. For some reason, your mind becomes clearer as you approach. You get the sense that he is smiling at you.
Akule is the head shaman who mentors Millia and Shamala and is a primary character to The Saga: Iria.
When wearing his monkey mask, he has an active personality, possibly carefree, if not enthusiastic; this playful attitude can be considered more problematic than anything. With his eagle mask, he becomes a little more serious, especially in battle. He also keeps his monkey mask on at all times, wearing his eagle mask over it, preferring not to show his face.
He is also a skilled craftsman, with the ability to create special charms.
History
He is also Millia's uncle and Gael's older brother.
Mainstream Storyline
Episode 1 - Fate's Origin: The Demon
After the Milletian and Millia escape from the Unknown Man, Akule unites with Millia and defends Cor Village from a possessed Milletian that has transmogrified into a Gigantic Demon. As the Milletian's consciousness is freed from the demon, Akule telepathically tells them to find him; Millia assumes Akule was dozing off as he requested the Milletian's presence.
The Milletian eventually finds Akule at the Jungle Tree Crest Mark with the help of the residents of Cor Village. Akule informs them what happened and agrees to help them ward off possession. However, because he misplaced the warding charm in Karu Forest, near suspicious Elves and Giants guarding the Mysterious Karu Forest Ruins, he has to make a new one, though he tells the Milletian they have to gather the items themselves.
Black-Tailed Mongoose's White Tail, A Stone and Yet Not a Stone, A Stone Like a Lightless Gem, the finest marble, and a Black Sunlight Herb
First they travel to Maiz Prairie to obtain a White Tail from a Black-Tailed Mongoose, much to the Milletian's confusion. However, all they find is Black Tails; Millia suggests to ask an archaeologist about this. The Milletian then turns to Alexina who states that the chance of actually finding a white tail is extremely rare; 99/100 white tails sold in markets are fakes, however she does agree to bleach their black tails to white. Upon returning to Akule with the "White Tail", he almost notices its fake but quickly disregards it.
The next item is A Stone and Yet Not a Stone in the Shyllien Nature Reserve, once again confusing the Milletian. However, for an unknown reason, it is heavily guarded by Elves, prompting Akule to use an invisibility spell on the Milletian, though they ponder why he did not do it back at Karu Forest. The Milletian is able to grab the material from the ecologist elves study it and returns to Akule.
The third item is A Stone Like a Lightless Gem in Hillwen Mines, which is also heavily guarded by Giants. Akule states he cannot perform the invisibility spell in rapid succession, but hints a person might have carelessly left it lying around; fortunately, the Milletian is able to find the material just at the mine's entrance. When they return, Millia informs them that Akule left on an errand, but states that the next object is the Finest Marble which they can find in Uladh and suggests a Goblin Trade Helper may know about it. However, as Digo, Bangor's Trade Helper, leads them to the Marble, the Milletian is suddenly possessed and transmogrified once again and resumes attacking Cor Village. Akule arrives on scene and defeats them once again, informing the Milletian that they are in a much worse state and they must complete the charm.
Returning to Akule back at the Jungle Tree Crest Mark, he scolds them for straying too far and claims he told Millia not to leave; despite Millia's anger she is unable to hide her depression, implying she lied about the Finest Marble. With one piece remaining, Akule shrugs it off and leads the Milletian to Longa Desert where the Black Sunlight Herb awaits in Ant Hell, giving them a tracker to locate it. After navigating through the maze as well as fending off demonic creatures, the Milletian finally manages to locate the material and returns to Akule.
With all the materials needed, Akule takes the Milletian to the Dragon Crest Mark, while leaving Millia behind in Lappa Village, stating it is too dangerous for her. As Akule prepares the ritual, the Black Dragon appears and attacks; the shaman manages to hold them off for a limited time while giving the Milletian the charm and his eagle mask and orders them to protect Millia at all costs, stating she has great power that rivals the Irinid. After the Milletian escapes to Millia and gives her the mask, series of explosions occur around the Dragon Crest Mark; Millia tries to save her teacher, but the Milletian blocks her. Back at the Dragon Crest Mark, mists shroud the field as a familiar yet aged man looks on.
Episode 2 - Hero's Return: The Trap
Millia accuses the Milletian of abandoning Akule and refuses to let up until they agree to train her. She mentions that Akule is not dead and there must be a clue around Karu Forest. Upon arriving, they receive a letter supposedly from Akule, which is actually a trap laid out by the Unknown Man who ambushes them with demons. The Milletian tries to ambush the Unknown Man, only to fail and transform into a demon once again, despite having Akule's charm in their possession, who subsequently defeats the Elf and Giant agents around the Mysterious Karu Forest Ruins, but is defeated by Millia with the power of Akule's mask.
Meanwhile, Shamala, imprisoned in the depths of the Mysterious Karu Forest Ruins, is interrogated by the Black Dragon Knight, who states her mentor Akule is dead.
Episode 4 - Mystic Training: The Ritual
Millia accuses Shamala for leaving Akule for dead. Shamala then takes her to The Holy Land of Shamans, where the shamans-in-training may have answers of Akule's whereabouts, if not they can at least train her and continue where Akule left her off.
During Millia's rite of initiation to become a shaman, she hears Akule's voice stating to her that the tests consists of illusions and that she is to vent her rage against them. After defeating the false Black Dragon Bhafel and Shamala, the voice begins to accuse Millia that she was responsible for Akule's demise, prompting her to vent her rage on the illusion of Akule.
After passing the rite of initiation, Demote realizes Millia's true potential, but notes that only Akule can control it. Lelach then takes Millia under her wing while calling Akule a sham and states that the charm did not require a Black-Tailed Mongoose's White Tail but their Big Beautiful Black Tail, which angers Millia.
Episode 6 - Demon Night: The Truth
Lelach is revealed to have been Akule all along, much to Bhafel's surprise, though Shamala had known this all along. Akule reveals that during their previous battle, he used his magic to teleport himself to his haven, The Holy Land of Shamans, and that it is also a trap: he then binds Bhafel with magic and orders Shamala to destroy the Guardian Pillars in the area, explaining that the Holy Land of Shamans is an alternate plane that will seal Bhafel once the pillars have been destroyed. The Black Dragon roars in anger and swears to return before fully vanishing.
Episode 7 - Heroic Path: The Choice
After escaping Dowra and Maike, the Milletian returns to Akule and explains to him the current situation, but assures that the misunderstanding between the elves and giants will eventually be resolved. Akule then reveals to the Milletian about the Unknown Men attempting to sever Erinn from its Gods as stated by Bhafel, and they need Millia for that reason because of how close she is to the divine.
The Milletian then briefly blacks out to receive a message from Nao about the Cessairs attempting to assassinate Krug to sever their connection with the elves and Milletians; Akule claims to have seen Nao on another plane. Akule then gives them another charm to replace the one that exploded during their fight with the Black Dragon Knight Ruairi, revealing to have a cache of charms; he explains that he wished them luck in finding the Black-Tailed Mongoose's White Tail, the A Stone and Yet Not a Stone was for a research project, he was curious of the existence of the A Stone Like a Lightless Gem, and the Black Sunlight Herb makes great tea, and he simply made them run his extra errands. The Milletian shortly receives a letter from Millia, notifying them that she is OK and requests the aid of shamans. Akule then asks about Nao's message, and then urges the Milletian to save Krug before more conflict arises.
After saving Krug, the Milletian returns to Akule, who senses that the shamans he sent to aid Millia are dead.
Side Story: NPC Commentary
In the drama commentary, Akule is stated to be the most popular NPC in the Saga. He admits that he tries to keep up with all the latest trends and fashions and reads the 'Cor Village People' magazine every week, a magazine he made but never published as he has difficulties persuading Kousai.
The Milletian interviewer then asks about Lelach, as people believed that it was the result of multiple-personality disorder or he was only normal with his mask. Akule says that it is merely acting, and if it was a skill, he would have maxed out his level. He also says that other shamans did not know it was acting.
His masks comes up in question, and Akule states that it is a hobby of his and collects them, probably having over a hundred of them. He explains that he wears his masks depending on his mood, though has come to favor the eagle and monkey masks.
Episode 8 - Holy Land: The Sacrifice
Having lost the trail of Millia at the Connous Oasis, Akule proposes using the link between the Milletian's inner demon and the Cessair to track her down. Though he knows that it is too risky, there is no other option, and coaxes the Milletian that this method would be for the greater good. In all seriousness, he requires Emerald Cores and Mutant Rabbit Feet from the Hillwen Mine and Shyllien Nature Reserve, respectively.
After collecting the items, Akule conjures a spell and jokingly attempts to put the Milletian under his control before placing their Milletian's spirit inside the base of operations of the Cessair organization: Renes. He assures that they will not be detected, but Tarlach immediately notices them, cuts Akule off, and summons demons to attack. Akule eventually manages to reestablish a connection and recalls the Milletian.
Although their spying efforts have failed, they now know where Millia is being held at. Akule then instructs Shamala to scout Renes while the Milletian recruits the aid of Castanea, Krug, Eirawen, Admiral Owen, and their forces for the fight of Erinn's fate. After the Milletian gathers aid, Akule plans a course of action while waiting for Shamala to return.
Episode 9 - Fate's Design: The Stand
Akule listens on to Odran, Dowra, and Maike as they discuss about dealing with the Cessair. Dowra suggests using Akule's charms, which exploded previously, as a weapon, however Akule claims they are harmless and playfully juggles ten of them, much to Dowra's and Maike's suspicions.
After infiltrating Renes, Akule leaves to inspect Millia tied to Lia Fail while the Milletian fights off the demons. Akule then urges them to destroy Lia Fail, but are intercepted by Ruairi, though Shamala manages to heal them. Ruairi then tries to intercept them again, but Akule throws at charm at him and commands it to explode; Ruairi braces for impact, but Akule reveals that it was a fluke, allowing the Milletian to damage Lia Fail.
Episode 10 - Divine Fury: The Advent
After the Milletian damages Lia Fail, Akule urges them to destroy it immediately. However, a mysterious barrier is suddenly erected, preventing anyone from reaching it. Macha then appears, leaving Akule stunned.
After the Milletian defeats Macha, Akule returns to The Holy Land of Shamans. He feels helpless, claiming to have experienced regret for the first time since he became a shaman due to the belief that he did not take good care of his niece from the beginning. However, all he can do now is believe for the future. He wishes the Milletian well and tells them not to be swayed so easily by what others say before they part ways.

Episode 3 - Pursuit
When the Milletian, Merlin, Treasure Hunter, and Pinky search for the missing Young Tarlach, their search leads them to Cor. There they meet Akule, who seems to have cheered up since the event with Macha. Akule recognizes the Milletian and says he followed a vision to meet with them again. Merlin rudely interrupts the reunion, calling Akule a crazyface, and brings up their mission. After learning about Merlin from the Milletian, an annoyed Akule suggests hanging Merlin on a thinking tree to correct his sad superiority complex. Treasure Hunter intervenes and asks about seeing Tarlach, where Akule mentions he has seen these dark omens in nightmares. Shamala appears and senses danger, but tells her off as Merlin and Treasure Hunter are with the Milletian. The Milletian then asks about Millia's state, and Akule is very sure that she will eventually recover. Continuing with their mission, they talk to Tupai who reveals he had seen Tarlach along with "dark spirits" and refuses to talk until they go to The Holy Land of Shamans.
At the holy land, Millia mysteriously reacts to The Black Book of Bith in possession of Treasure Hunter, causing her to temporarily regain consciousness and recite a dark omen. Akule inspects the dangerous item but cannot make a word of it, and advises Treasure Hunter to not open the book in the holy land and find someone to seal it up. Akule then tells Merlin and Treasure Hunter to watch over the Milletian and reminds the Milletian of the feats they have done before they set out.

Akule arrives to congratulate the expeditionary force when they find the Cor Relic and lets them take it with them. He then takes the team to see Millia in the holy land of the shamans, who is due to wake up, whilst mentioning seeing the Milletian in his dreams. Once Millia falls back into her slumber, Akule tells the Milletian to (TBA)

- Lelach has the same in-game model as Akule, albeit without the mask.
- Demote also has the same in-game model as Akule.
- Under his mask, Akule's Monkey Mask model has basic features and black eyes. This was erroneously replaced with a different eye and color set after the 2021 Beauty update.
