[show]Notes & Advice Notes It is impossible to Sketch this monster. It always has "the Unknown" title. Unless the title is replaced by "the Ancient". If one is on a mount and attempts to approach the Catcus Lizard the Unknown, the steed will enter Combat Mode and halt all movement with a message saying "(Pet Name) is keeping an unidentified force at bay. You must get off the horse in order to move." Despite the message saying "horse", this applies to all mounts. Advice Fire Counter is efficient. Elves, use Mirage Missile repeatedly to weaken enough for final kill. This monster prevents mount pets from passing specific areas. If you dismount, then both player and mount can cross.

[show]Notes & Advice Notes None Advice Can be locked by people repeatedly using Windmill. This only works if someone uses pets to auto-attack the Basilisk. If a person in the party has at least rank F (if not higher) Shock, the Basilisk can be stunned during the skill's duration. However it will not be fully stunned due to Mana Deflector. A safe method of defeating Basilisk is to lure it to the door with another person on the other side and fake death\hide. It will aggro the person on the other side and move towards the door and get stuck allowing just enough space for the rest of the party to Flame Burst it with tower cylinders at maximum range. Its aggro detection originates from between its hind legs so make sure the person on the other side of the door is closer to that than the party is. Another method of defeating the basilisk is to set up multiple rows of single Barrier Spikes facing the basilisk, and to shoot at it from behind the rows of spikes with range, alchemy, and magic while setting up new spikes from behind as the basilisk tears down the spikes in front. Once the basilisk is at the last row of spikes, move behind the newly-made spikes and resume attacking. Recommended for characters with low melee abilities. Smash does not make it cancel Defense. You can get free smashes on it while it's using the skill. Wings of Rage, at a high enough rank, can stun it for a short period of time.
