Shadow Lancer

Basic Information

These are enemy creatures that only appear in Taillteann Shadow Missions. The undead equivalent, which appear in Tara and Rath Royal Castle Missions, is the Bone Lancer. Take care not to bunch up if in a party, as these creatures have decent splash range.

Notes & Advice Notes Very erratic tendencies. Attacks in tandem with double aggro. Advice Be very well prepared before fighting a large number of these on your own on larger difficulties. They will either spam [Smash], relentlessly attack with normal hits, or run around loading random skills (including smash) They can be very fast and overwhelming in numbers. A high Windmill rank is recommended, as well as good timing and sometimes patience. Often spawn alongside Shadow Archers, and will work in tandem with each other. An aggro cancellation or disabling skill, such as an Ice Dragon's summon ability, Frozen Blast, Lullaby, or rank 1 Rain Casting helps greatly. Their high crit ratio and injury rate makes Mana Shield or high protection crucial.

Notes & Advice Notes They behave erratically, making it hard to predict what they are going to do next. Advice Aggro's quickly. Often circles around you before attack. Fast and relentless when knocked back one moment, and the next they will load skills and run around instead. Not usually particularly difficult, but mind their high crit when you use defense on higher difficulties.

Notes & Advice Notes Erratic and powerful Advice Much like their light armor strong versions, they multi-aggro in tandem with their counterparts, and run in erratic, unpredictable ways. Much stronger and more powerful, they can be brutal to fight.
