Esras gives the order to Paladins-in-training to hunt for Gold in Barri Dungeon, and when the Milletian tries to find the path to become a Paladin, Esras gives them the documents to undergo training and her aforementioned task. After a while, she orders them to hunt for "Doppelgangers" (Ruairi and Triona) in Math Dungeon. However, when the Paladins fail to defeat Ruairi, Esras arrives and revitalizes the fallen troopers, but Ruairi still overcomes them. Esras then tricks Ruairi into surrendering by attempting to destroy Triona; after he does so, she knocks Triona unconscious, and commands reinforcements to attack, but Morgant appears and defends Ruairi. Esras again orders the Paladins to take the "Doppelgangers" into custody and the one who does so gets a "reward" from Rian, but their enemies disappear.
Later on, the Milletian aids Price (who later reveals himself as Redire). Eventually, the Milletian learns that Esras arrested Redire because he caused "The Tragedy of Emain Macha". Price had unknowingly caused this when he found Triona in Math Dungeon and brought her away with him, thinking she had been captured by Fomors when she was, in fact, Morgant's daughter. After escaping Esras' judgement, he became a merchant and wanted revenge. The Milletian and Redire talk about Esras and unravel mysteries about her plans.
They learn that Esras is particularly using tools to summon Tabhartas, the Guardian of Ancient Wisdom. Some of the records also states that she set up Redire to kidnap Triona, and him and Aranwen to a date in Gairech Hills, where the Tragedy of Emain Macha begun, but then sealed up her records with magic rather than destroying them. She also had been using a Marionette's Potion to control several of her subordinates. Additionally, she had been monitoring Redire for some time. Redire theorizes that some of her servants, such as Colbha, the who wrote the records to Esras while plotting the Tragedy of Emain Macha, eventually became expendable and were executed after she had recovered evidence. Esras had also begun stirring up the Golems in Ceo Island. Finally, after reading Priest James' Historical Records, it reveals discriminating information about Esras' actions.
Craig calls up to the Milletian, saying how Rian is not feeling well and requests them to distract her so he can bring up a healer to him. When the Milletian reaches the Throne, Esras tells that Rian is not here, and had knew the whole time they were helping Redire, who appears shortly. Chase is given to the depths of Barri Dungeon.
Esras claims that she had ruled over Emain Macha for sometime, and is now planning to take over all of Erinn. Redire demands Rian, but Esras simply ignores that by summoning the Ancient Golem to crush him.
Tabhartas then crushes Redire's leg, and Esras demands the final blow to him given. The Milletian immediately rushes, blocking the impact and holding up the foot. Esras is impressed by this, but knows well that they will die. To Esras' surprise and ultimate undoing, the Spirit of Order and the true Paladin arises within the Milletian, causing the Golem to be forced away. Both Redire and Esras are shocked, but she refuses to believe the Paladin being real, and calls the Golem to crush the Knight of Light.
After Tabhartas is defeated, Esras is shocked, but still in denial of the Paladin's existence. Morgant comes in, and cuts open the head of Tabhartas, revealing Esras had sacrificed Rian. Ruairi comes in, demanding who killed his brother. Esras points the finger at the Paladin, whose true form is revealed. Ruairi is led by Esras' lies, and demands vengeance and leaves. Redire tries to convince the Milletian that they were not truly responsible for Rian's death, but Esras states he was already dead the moment the sword flung out of Redire's hand and impaled itself on Rian's foot back in the Tragedy, and did not announce his death. Redire then learns that Esras is a necromancer, a forbidden practice to druids which involves reanimating corpses, and she tries to take the situation into her own hands as they had delayed her plans for far too long.
However, Esras had misjudged the Milletian, as she is slain without them being in Paladin form. Esras is shocked by the moment, and fades away afterward.
