You may start Generation 22 after reaching total level 3,000, but it is suggested to do the other Mainstream Quests to understand the story more. The quests in this Generation will appear under the "Apocalypse" tab. During the Generation Boost Event, this generation is made easier.

Generation 22: Apocalypse sees a mysterious organization known as the Order of the Black Moon scheming to kidnap worshippers of Hymerark in an effort to revive the Fomors' old king: Balor of the Evil Eye.

The Long Night's Beginning

	Information	Investigate the suspicious happenings in Dunbarton -?
Instruction	The Suspicious Evidence Examine the suspicious evidence on the ground. Find a shining spot on the road immediately outside the south-east exit of Dunbarton. Hint: If you open the quest details in the quest log, you can use the [Location Check] button to locate what you are looking for on the map. Discover where the strange sound came from. Find a shining spot past the fields near a lone tree directly south from the previous shining spot. After examining the shining spot you will be given a prompt to enter the Shadow Mission, Chance and Destiny. Rewards [150,000 EXP; 30,000 G] A short cutscene will play. Afterward, you will fight three waves of enemies. Wave 1: Fomor Lancer x4 + Fomor Archer x2. Wave 2: Fomor Fighter x4 + Black Moon Follower (shield) x1 + Black Moon Follower (bow) x1. Wave 3: Fomor Archer x2 + Fomor Fighter x2 + Black Moon Follower (shield) x1 + Black Moon Follower (bow) x1. Immediately after the third wave you will view a short cutscene introducing Cethlenn. A fourth wave with Cethlenn will spawn and regardless of whether you fight, a dialogue will start after 1 minute 30 seconds. Wave 4 (optional): Fomor Warrior x2 + Black Moon Follower (shield) x2 + Black Moon Follower (bow) x2 + Cethlenn. Cethlenn can use Snap Cast, Ice Spear, Fireball, and Lightning Rod. He also has a unique skill that summons a shadow with a scythe. Unless you have very high magic defense and magic protection, it is advised to flee the area and wait. After 1 minute 30 seconds a dialogue will start. After the dialogue, the mission will complete and you will automatically exit. Talk to the young man. Complete the quest. To Rise Against Misfortune

Instruction	Talk to Yvona Defend Piran Talk to Piran, you will be prompted: [You can count on me] or [I need time to prepare]. After selecting [You can count on me], you will enter a Shadow Mission, Wheel of Misfortune. Rewards [150,000 EXP; 30,000 G] Talk to Piran again. You will now be accompanied by Piran. He does not fight and can not be targeted by enemies. Along the dirt path to Taillteann there will be circles indicating the triggers for waves of enemies. Wave 1: Violent Wild Dog (Black) x2 and Violent Wild Dog (White) x2 Wave 2: Violent Wild Dog (Black) x3 and Violent Wild Dog (White) x3 Wave 3: Violent Wild Dog (Black) x4 and Violent Wild Dog (White) x4 For the 4th wave, a Violent Neid will spawn in the lake. Neid is an enemy that telegraphs its attacks: they can all be avoided by running. This Neid uses water cannon just as much as any other attack. Water cannon is extremely dangerous and can defeat you in one hit with heavy wounding. Neid can not be attacked with chain slash skills. After engaging with Neid for a short while, the lake monster can retreat temporarily or move around. Anything that increases movement speed will be helpful. For example, you can use March Song or Awakening of Light. One strategy is to use Divine Link with a pet to increase its defenses and command it to attack the Neid. Have Rank 1+ Firebolt: you will want to use a chain casting Fire Wand or Celtic Tribolt Wand. Move close enough to hit it with firebolt, but be ready to run as soon as it appears to start an attack animation. After defeating all waves of enemies a short cutscene will play. After the cutscene the mission will complete, you will automatically exit and you will be transported to Tara's north trading post. Complete the quest. A Gaze Unwavering

Instruction	Talk to the soldier in front of the Great Hall in Rath Royal Castle. Prompted: [I have come to see Eirawen.], [Beat around the bush], or [Remain silent]. Any of the answers will put you in the Shadow Mission, Holy Barrier, where you must negotiate with the guards. [100,000 EXP; 10,000 G] Answer #1: Corentin, Answer #2: Flash your most winsome smile, Answer #3: Lymilark, Answer #4: The confessional, Answer #5: 8 am to 8 pm As of Masterpiece season 2 update, giving wrong answers will not give you a Mission Failure anymore. Talk to Eirawen in the Hanging Garden Talk to Llywelyn Glitch: If you disconnect during this conversation Llywelyn and Marleid will not move into the 2nd-floor hall. Use the gifts from the order of Hymerark members around town x7 Each missing person (or pair of missing persons) will bestow you a quest "In Search of Clues #" where # is numbered 1 thorough 7. Each quest will reward you [50,000 EXP; 5,000 G]. Just prior to completing each quest, the missing person will give you an Order of Hymerark Talisman. The talismans are non-stackable, single-use, special inventory items that will contribute one point to the objective. You will need to obtain and use all 7 talismans to proceed. The missing people may be found in any order. Except when they are part of a pair, in which case you'll need to speak to a specific one first. If you have trouble locating any of the missing persons, use the provided image on the right for exact map location and appearance. The second person can be found in Gairech Hill, south of the Fiodh moon gate, south of the dirt road, next to a tree near the the Sen Mag Prairie entrance. The third person can be found at the bookstore and gallery in Tara. This is located a little west of the Rath Royal Castle outer gate. Talk to him to receive the quest, In Search of Clues 2. Rewards [100,000 EXP; 20,000 G] The person will follow you at human running speed and can get stuck around corners if you are too fast. Your goal will be to bring that person to the north Tara trading post A group of enemies (Fomor Archer x1, Fomor Lancer x1, Black Moon Follower x1) will continuously spawn around the person after a number of seconds have passed without you engaging that group. The person will not move while enemies are present. It is advised that you start moving as soon as the mission begins and immediately after every battle. The shadow mission will end when the person reaches the Tara trading post. The quest objective will be fulfilled. Complete the quest, use the talisman, and continue. The fourth person can be found in Sliab Cuilin, north east of the Stone Quarry moon gate, near two trees and a bush on high ground overlooking several cliffs. Return and talk to the fourth person. He will ask what color his father was wearing. Answer: Gray. Complete the quest, use the talisman, and continue. The sixth person is at the tree on Spiral Hill in Dugald Aisle Talk to her to receive the quest, In Search of Clues 4. Rewards [100,000 EXP; 20,000 G] The enemies in this mission have a far detection range, almost instant multi-aggro, and have much more HP than their regular forms. After defeating the enemies talk to the person to complete the mission. Her husband is the first person and can be found in Sen Mag Prairie, south of the Peaca Dungeon moon gate, south of the dirt road, among the trees near the Emain Macha entrance. The ninth person is in Gairech Hill, at Reighinalt, at the south east corner area between an excavation hole and rocks. Talk to her to receive the quest, In Search of Clues 7. You will be taken into the Shadow Mission, An Unintended Discovery. Rewards [150,000 EXP; 30,000 G] Spawns are Fomor Fighter x3, Fomor Archer x2, Fomor Lancers x2, Black Moon Follower (bow) x2, Black Moon Follower (shield) x1, and Fomor Warrior x1. Marleid will assist you in this mission. She has Natural Shield level 3, Ranged Attack, Support Shot and Magnum Shot. She will attempt to meelee fomors that use meelee attacks on her. While she can handle the monsters and has high HP, the mission will fail if she falls. Find the suspicious device. The suspicious device is located in front of the Sen Mag Plains Moongate. The Mists Below

Instruction	Talk to Piran. Head inside the newly opened pathway to reach Tech Duinn. Examine the source of the mist. Examine the altar. Examine the book on the altar. Talk to Marleid. Defeat the invaders. Talk to Marleid to enter the shadow mission, Ruins in the Magical Mist. Rewards [150,000 EXP; 30,000 G] Marleid will assist you in this mission. Pets will be unsummoned when the mission begins. Like in the previous mission, while she can handle the monsters and has high HP, the mission will fail if she falls. Instruction	Quest Information Keyword responses Talk to the stranger. Talk to Marleid. Examine the Revelations of the Black Moon. Find Piran in the place beyond the mists. Talk to the floating stone portal to enter the shadow mission, Blurred Visions. Rewards [100,000 EXP; 20,000 G] Upon entering, you'll be prompted to imagine the upcoming scenario. What you choose will become reality, but it makes no difference in how the mission is progressed and completed. Follow and activate entities of light on the ground to find Piran. You'll find three lights along the dirt path then a single light off the path and a bit to the right. Activating the fourth light will show you where Piran is. If you fail the conversation with him, you will fail the mission. Correct Answers: 1. Comfort him. 2. Tell him he cannot change what is past Only the second answer is required to proceed with the quest. Talk to Vayne. He will ask you the name of the old king of the Fomors. Answer: Balor. From Bud to Blossom

Instruction	Talk to Piran. Enter the land beyond the mists. You will enter the shadow mission, Unsurpassable. Rewards [100,000 EXP; 20,000 G] After a cutscene, Tathlum x5 will spawn surrounding Piran. They are immune to all damage. Approach Piran to trigger a cutscene and clear the mission. Be quick about reaching Piran. The Tathlum take some time before they notice and attack you. You can reach Piran before all 5 are attacking you, but if that does happen, you can exit and restart the mission to try again. Tathlum attacks can be avoided by keeping a distance and stepping to the side as they notice and roll towards you. Using a chain blade and Anchor Rush will make it easy to avoid them and just jump onto Piran to end the mission. Talk to Vayne. Talk to Vayne. Use the item Vayne gave you. You will be taken into an RP mission, Hysterical Night, where you role-play as Vayne. He has Rank 1 in most close-combat and bolt magic, and can use Charge despite his lack of a shield. If Knocked Unconscious, Vayne will be resurrected shortly, up to two times, or else the mission will fail. You will fight 5 waves of Long-Remembered Warriors, Fighters, and Soldiers. They all have around 900 HP. Afterwards you will fight Long-Remembered Archfoe, who has 100,000 HP. All are simple enemies with very basic AI. Take down the boss's HP by 50% to trigger a cutscene and complete the mission. Complete the quest. [50,000 EXP; 5,000 G] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Eyes Wide Shut

	Information	I think you'll now find it quite possible to travel through the mists safely. -Vayne
Instruction	Talk to Vayne. Enter the land beyond the mists. You will enter the shadow mission, The First Step. Rewards [150,000 EXP; 30,000 G] You will have the Iron Will buff, granting immunity to stun and knockdown. There will be several Tathlums guarding the monolith. They will do significantly less damage than they did in the previous mission and have 3,000 HP. Destroy the monolith to get a short dialogue and complete the mission. Talk to Vayne Complete the quest. [50,000 EXP; 5,000 G; Iron Will Technique] This is the first time you obtain a Technique. The Technique button on your UI bar will be enabled and you can begin collecting briogh. Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Phantoms Among the Snow

	Information	I've shared everything we've learned so far with Queen Eirawen. Did anything happen while I was gone? -Marleid
Instruction	Talk to Marleid. Prompted: [I destroyed a monolith], or [Piran got knocked out]. Talk to Piran. Select Destination Talk to Piran to answer a prompt. Answer Sidhe Sneachta. Talk to Marleid at the destination. Destroy the Evil Eye Monolith. Talk to the monolith to enter the shadow mission, Shining in the Snow. Rewards [150,000 EXP; 30,000 G] Examining the monolith inside the mission will push you to the other side of the field and spawn a wave of enemies that must be defeated in an Offering Circle. The Haunted Druids use high level magic and are very dangerous. It is advised you defeat them first regardless of whether they will fall into the circle. Then you can take care to defeat the enemies of ice inside the circle. As all of the regular enemies have Ice Elementals, using Firebolt will deal extra damage. Seek out the next destination. Talk to Piran to answer a prompt. Answer Emain Macha. Complete the quest. [50,000 EXP; 5,000 G; Blunting Field Technique Wait a short while to get the next quest.

A Scene Beyond the Veil

Instruction	Talk to Piran in Emain Macha. Question people in Emain Macha. Talk to Delen, Nele, Osla, Aodhan, and Agnes in any order to progress. Talk to Galvin. Look down at the town from the observatory. The observatory Telescope is only available from 04:00am to 08:00pm Erinn time. Talk to Marleid. Complete the quest. [50,000 EXP; 5,000 G] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

Float like a Fairy

Instruction	Talk to Priest James. Talk to Huw in the Puppet Shop. Talk to Ioan in the Puppet Shop. Get the Fairy Dust from Fleta She will ask for a Rock Glove, Paper Glove, or Scissors Glove. All of these can be purchased from Price. Complete the quest. [50,000 EXP; 5,000 G] Wait a short while to get the next quest.

A Memory of Emain Macha

	Information	I'm glad we found a way to safely cross the river. Now that we can, it's time to go destroy the third symbol. -Marleid
Instruction	Talk to Marleid. Prompted: [Agree with Piran] or [Remain Silent]. Use the Fairy Dust at the lakeside. If you are not standing in the correct spot the fairy dust will not be consumed. Use the Fairy Dust where dirt the path ends, not by the edge of the water. You will be taken into the shadow mission, Red River. Rewards [150,000 EXP; 30,000 G] The monolith is surrounded by Slimes and Giant Slimes. Neither of these are aggressive and they deal very little damage. Giant slimes will split into 2 slimes when hit. Knock the slimes into the Offering Circle under the monolith to breach its defenses. Each defeated slime is worth 4% completion. Giant slimes are worth 20% completion instead. After the offering circle is complete the monolith will be vulnerable. Destroy it to complete the mission. Seek out the next destination. Talk to Piran to receive a prompt. Answer Avon. Speak to Marleid Complete the quest. [50,000 EXP; 5,000 G; Vital Surge Technique]. Wait a short while to get the next quest.

The Broken Prison Gate

Instruction	Upon receiving the quest, you will be taken into a cutscene. Talk to Marlowe. Search for the Evil Eye Monolith in Avon. The Evil Eye Monolith is not in the area, instead you will be looking for an invisible trigger point to enter an RP mission. Use the provided image if you are having trouble finding it. The trigger point is near the small 3x3 grave on the east side of Avon. There are some small non fully grown trees on the south side of the grave. The trigger point is in the water near the tiny trees. You will be taken into the RP mission, The Foolish Warden. You will roleplay as yourself. You will be equipped with a cylinder and you will have plenty of alchemy crystals. Destroy the Evil Eye Monolith. It can only be damaged using Life Drain. Life Drain's cooldown will be periodically reset during the mission. Snow Troll x2 will spawn shortly after the mission begins. They will respawn if defeated. Castle Wall Golem will also spawn some time after the snow trolls. Possibly only after you attack the monolith with wrong skills. If defeated, you will be resurrected by Marlowe. Talk to Marlowe. Instruction	Talk to the soldier near the Tech Duinn Chamber. Seek out the next destination. Talk to Piran to receive a prompt. Answer Belvast. Talk to Marleid at the destination. Prompted: [Ask someone familiar with the area] or [Stare at Marleid] If [Ask someone familiar with the area] was chosen: [Scathach] or [Owen] If [Stare at Marleid] was chosen: [Did you do that whole braid yourself?] or [Have you been here before?] Talk to Admiral Owen. Talk to Piran. Prompted: [Nothing useful, unfortunately.] or [There was a rumor going around...] Search the Belvast Graveyard at night. The objective is to guide the Elf Boy onto the correct path. Choosing the incorrect path results in taking 33% health damage. Correct Answers: Right, then Left, then Center. You do not need to follow him, the prompts will appear automatically. Talk to Vayne. You will obtain an Evil Eye Cryptex. Talk to Marleid. You will be taken into the shadow mission, Executive Discretion. Rewards [150,000 EXP; 30,000 G] Cethlenn and several Black Moon Followers will appear. Instruction	Destroy the Monolith in Tara's Shadow Realm Talk to Eirawen to enter the shadow mission, Castling. Rewards [150,000 EXP; 30,000 G] This is a shadow mission similar to Investigate the Underground Waterway seen in Generation 12: Return of the Hero. You will fight through 7 rooms and the underground waterway. Each room spawns a single mixed group of 7 Crying Zombie Soldiers, Wandering Zombie Soldiers, and Black Moon Followers. The seventh room rewards a chest with the Secret Note. Travel through the closet to the secret room. Type the message on the note into the All (Normal) chat to open the staircase to the Underground Passage. The underground passage has 3 rooms which spawn 2 groups of the same enemies encountered in the castle along with a poison Cerberus. The boss room is a larger group of the same enemies again. After defeating them, a cutscene will occur and end the mission. Talk to Marleid in Taillteann Headquarters Complete the quest. Balor of the Evil Eye

Rewards [150,000 EXP; 30,000 G] The mission is similar to the first part of Feth Fiada Tech Duinn mission, but with weakened enemies. Find and hit orbs to spawn enemies. Each orb spawns 3 waves consisting of 4-6 Slimes and a Tathium. Clearing an orb will briefly release a wave of mist that indicates the direction of the next orb. Clear all 4 orbs to reveal Marleid and Piran at the center of the plains. Talk to them to end the mission. Talk to Piran. Prompted: [It really helped me] or [Remain silent] Piran's Pendant will be removed from your inventory. Stop the revived Balor. Enter the land beyond the mists again to be taken into the mission, A False Promise. Rewards [200,000 EXP; 50,000 G] You will be accompanied by Marleid and Piran. Follow the path to a light on the ground for a cutscene. Follow the path again to the next light for another cutscene. Open the gate with a crimson gem to begin another cutscene. Defeat Balor of the Evil Eye (Monster). Marleid will assist you, but she deals little to no damage. Having very high Defense and Protection stats is useful for negating Balor's damage. Having Heavy Armor, Heavy Armor Mastery, Dampen Shock, and Blunting Field will help raise your defenses. Using a pet with Divine Link is advised. Balor has a grab attack and a way to cancel it is by commanding your pet to hit Balor. Using Shocked Brionac will greatly lower Balor's protection. The quest will autocomplete.
