The Three Lost Warriors

The Three Lost Warriors, sometimes referred to as The Three Lost Heroes or Three Missing Warriors, is a recurring story about a group of three people who left for Tir Na Nog but never returned.

Basic Information

There once was a group of three warriors that had received a message from the Goddess. The three of them set off for Tir Na Nog, a legendary paradise. However, they never returned...

Several years ago, Mari, Tarlach, and Ruairi befriended each other at Tir Chonaill in which the trio would later be known as the Three Lost Warriors. Ruairi later informed his comrades of Morrighan requesting him to come to Tir Na Nog and rescue her, prompting them to do so. However, the three had vanished upon entering Tir Na Nog.

In present day, the memories of the group of three is lost with time, only to be resurfaced by the Milletian approximately four years after their disappearance, who encounters all three missing Warriors over the course of their time on Erinn. However, even after they reunite they go their separate ways and vanish once again.

By the time they resurface again, the warriors slowly reunite with one another. However, two of the three have gained ambitious goals that revolve around betraying the Milletian.

Members

• Mari: The female archer and the youngest of the three. She was killed in her journey to Tir Na Nog, but was resurrected by Morrighan and reborn into Nao, who guides Milletians to Erinn to complete what the three had begun.
• Tarlach: The male magician. He researched a way to enter Tir Na Nog, and was successful. However, after the incident, he sealed himself in Sidhe Sneachta, and when confronted, he tries to dissuade anyone from finding Tir Na Nog, not wanting others to suffer from what lies within. However, upon learning the truth, he begs the Milletian to save Morrighan. Once the issues in Tir Na Nog were resolved, Tarlach seemingly became but a mere memory again; during this time he discovered that the Gods were the true problems behind Erinn and plotted to sever their connection to Erinn, but this plan would require Tarlach to betray the Milletian, something he deems necessary.
• Ruairi: The male swordsman with a complex future and seemingly the most naive of the three. He received the message from Morrighan to rescue her, but during his journey he was ambushed by Cichol disguised as Morrighan and was "rescued" by Morgant and was looked after by Triona, but this was a plot to bring Ruairi over to the side of the Fomors. Originally a kind person who looked after others, after he discovered the people he cherished (Rian and Triona) were killed, his naivety led him to his descent to darkness and accused the Milletian of being the sole cause behind his problems. He is later convinced by his reunited friends that the Fomors are simply using him, but even so he joins Tarlach's plot in eliminating the Gods and betray the Milletian, believing that it would bring Triona back.

Mainstream Storyline

After the trio are prompted to head to Tir Na Nog, Tarlach searches for the way with the help of the succubus Kristell. They eventually arrive at Tir Na Nog and fight their way through Albey Dungeon to find Morrighan. However, after fighting the Dark Lord Morgant, he curses the three with a dark fate that cannot be undone. They proceed and find the incomplete Glas Ghaibhleann as well as a treasure chest containing the plans of the Fomors: they intend to revive Glas Ghaibhleann and use to wreak destruction on Erinn once more. Tarlach examines the book and notes that his mentor, Mores, can decipher the language. Suddenly, Mores, who has sided with the Fomors then appears before the three; Tarlach questions why his master is here in Tir Na Nog. Instead, Mores, feeling regretful, summons minions, including the Dark Lord, and commands them to take the three hostage. Tarlach and Ruairi protects Mari; Mores learns that his daughter is with the two, and commands them to stop. However, Cichol, disguised as Morrighan, appears and tells them to continue their onslaught, much to everyone's shock and horror, leaving the Three Lost Warriors to their fates.

It is never revealed what happened to Mari, but it is presumed that she was killed in the Dark Lord's onslaught. Fortunately, the real Morrighan revived her as Nao Mariota Pryderi and now introduces new Milletians to the world of Erinn. Nao is shown to have some regrets of her life as Mari, and wishes things would have turned out differently.

Tarlach was mortally wounded by Cichol and was cut from Mana. He awakes in Rabbie Dungeon under the care of succubus Kristell, who had rescued him. Unfortunately, she informs that his friends were nowhere to be found. In present day, Tarlach sealed himself up in Sidhe Sneachta at the Altar of Druid and transforms into a Bear in order to consume Mana Herbs to survive (he is allergic to them in human form).

Ruairi was struck into a coma while protecting Tarlach and Mari. According to Triona, the daughter of the Dark Lord who was looking after him at the time, the Dark Lord spared him and took him to Math Dungeon. She also adds on that if the Dark Lord did not use magic to preserve Ruairi's consciousness, he would have died.

Generation 1: Advent of the Goddess (Spoilers)

The Milletian, who recently had entered the world of Erinn, is instructed by Morrighan to free her from Tir Na Nog, resulting them taking the same journey the Three Lost Warriors had. They find Tarlach at Sidhe Sneachta, who tries to deter them from their path. However, the Milletian continues searching for Tia Na Nog while witnessing the memories of the Three Lost Warriors and Mores' as well as his deceased wife Shiela, and pieces together from their memories to uncover the truth behind the "Morrighan" who attacked the Warriors: Cichol. Tarlach, who is informed of this discovery, begs the Milletian to carry on his and his fallen comrades' task and defeat Glas Ghaibhleann.

Once the Milletian completes the task of freeing the real Morrighan and defeats Glas Ghaibhleann, Nao appears to take them back to Erinn, but before she does so, Morrighan informs them that she was indeed Mari.

Generation 2: Paladin (Spoilers)

While the Milletian tries to become a Paladin under the instruction of Morrighan, Ruairi awakes from his coma and deems Morrighan no longer trustworthy. He also finds himself tended to by Triona, a "Fomor" and the daughter of Morgant, the Dark Lord, at Math Dungeon. Morgant later appears and claims that humans are nothing but selfish and irresponsible creatures with much infighting between them, and likens this experience when Esras, a person who Ruairi trusted to advise his brother Rian, appears with an army of Paladin Trainees and the Milletian with the intent to kill Ruairi, accusing him of a fomor "doppelganger" masquerading as a human while failing to recognize him. Morgant whisks Ruairi away where he continues to persuade Ruairi that humans are evil and Dark Knights are meant to "correct" them.

After the Milletian, now a "true" Paladin, discovers Esras's treachery and stops her creation, Tabhartas, Morgant appears to cut open its head, where a dead Rian pops out from the rubble. Ruairi appears right after and demands who killed him: Esras puts the blame on the Milletian. Ruairi immediately believes Esras's lie without second thought and, after Tabhartas's rubble and Rian's body explodes, swears vengeance against Morrighan, and leaves with Morgant who promises him that goal.

Generation 3: Dark Knight (Spoilers)

Ruairi, now a Dark Knight, sets off on his goal of destroying Morrighan's Goddess Statues under the order of Morgant and Cichol.

Meanwhile, the Milletian, while struggling to fight off the Dark Knights and Ghost Armors, informs Tarlach of what happened to his fallen comrades. Tarlach then begs the Milletian to help them find a way to let him see Nao. Upon seeing his old friend, he begins questioning her about the the Milletian race, jotting it down in Tarlach's Record.

After Morrighan informs the Milletian of the Dark Knight's plans to revive Cromm Cruaich, they set off to Baol Dungeon to stop it where they are intercepted by Morgant and Ruairi, but Tarlach and Nao arrive in the nick of time to intervene. Ruairi immediately recognizes his old friends who tell him that Cichol is truly an evil being. At first, Ruairi refuses as he went too far, but after seeing Triona tied to Lia Fail, he immediately rebels against Cichol and tells his friends to flee with the promise to return. Morrighan appears and urges Tarlach and Nao away, but her appearance distracts Ruairi who is promptly defeated by Cichol, who then openly mocks Morrighan for withholding the truth of Erinn actually being Tir Na Nog, then uses Ruairi's father's contract with Cromm Cruaich to summon a stone clone of it. Everyone except the Milletian and the unconscious Ruairi vanish, left to face the creature.

Once the fake Cromm Cruaich is defeated, the real one appears to whisk Ruairi away to ease his suffering.

Generation 8: Dragon (Spoilers)

Cromm Cruaich plans to use Ruairi to resurrect Adniel for the greater good, but is thwarted by Crumena, who manipulates the Milletian into helping the red dragon kill Cromm Cruaich. Ruairi, who was riding atop Cromm Cruaich at the time of the blue dragon's death, falls unconscious near Raspa Volcano, but is found by the Milletian. Ruairi proceeds to inform the Milletian that they are the true conductor for Adniel; his purpose was to only lead them to Zardine.

After the Milletian and Crumena fight over the resurrection of Adniel, the evil dragon is eventually defeated. Ruairi arrives with Legatus to witness the revival of the golden dragon. Shortly after, Ruairi meets with Carasek and sails off into the unknown.

The Saga: Iria (Spoilers)

After an unknown time has passed after the events of Generation 8: Dragon, Tarlach researches a way for Erinn to achieve true paradise, gathering samples from the continent of Iria and later gains a charm of divinity from the continent's shamans, concluding that the Gods' meddling with the world is the key issue behind Erinn's problems. In his plot to sever Erinn's connection with the Gods, he plans to use the Soul Stream against them, but in turn results damaging the Milletian's existence on Erinn and therefore betraying them; Tarlach sternly and coldly declares that it is necessary.

Surprisingly, Ruairi eventually returns to Tarlach, fulfilling his promise back in Generation 3: Dark Knight. Ruairi is only interested in finding Triona, but eventually he discovers that she died due to an unknown event and in turn staged her father Morgant/Lugh's death, which Tarlach believes to have been caused by the Gods (which was actually true due to Morrighan's meddling in Generation 16: Macbeth). Taking advantage of the situation, Tarlach persuades his friend to help him, saying that his plan involves Lia Fail which may result in Triona's resurrection. However, while trying to help Tarlach, Ruairi has a run in with Iria's shamans who sense his dark past.

Tarlach and Ruairi later gains the alias of Black Mask and Black Dragon Knight, respectively. After Tarlach recruits the Cessair, Bhafel, Languhiris, and Commerce Fomor Bandits to aid him in his plan, he begins his plot by polluting the Soul Stream, but by coming into contact with it Tarlach and Ruairi inadvertently gain Milletian traits and begin aging rapidly. Nonetheless, their interference with the Soul Stream is successful, and the Cessair are thus able to gain control of the Milletian race by transforming them into demons to use as their puppets, and later uses this advantage by antagonizing them and turning their allies against them. While the specific Milletian tries to fight back against the Cessair, they befriend Shamala, Millia, Akule, Dowra, and Maike, but the Cessair's meddling causes extreme tension between the Milletian and their new allies. Nao later sides with the Milletian, informing them of what happened to the Soul Stream and tries to warn them of the Cessair's movements.

Meanwhile, Ruairi befriends Millia, whom at the time was separated from the Milletian by Bhafel. Millia reminds him of Triona while she carelessly believes to be her hero, oblivious to his dark past and intentions. He mysteriously leaves her to rendezvous with Black Mask and the Cessair.

Eventually, the specific Milletian has a run in with Black Mask and the Black Dragon Knight; the mastermind requests the Milletian to sacrifice themselves for "paradise", but when they refuse, he angrily "sheds his humanity" and continues ordering the Cessair to turn the Milletian race into demons to attack their allies. The specific Milletian, having received an identical charm of divinity earlier that blocks out the Cessair's magic, fights the Black Dragon Knight, who reveals his identity and accuses the Milletian killing his loved ones. Ruairi eventually kills them, but before they perish, the charm in their hand explodes. This left Ruairi severely injured, but was nursed back to health by Millia.

Angered at the apparent death of his best friend, Black Mask hastens his plan and sets his sights on Millia, who has divine potential which he believes that can counter the Gods. By this time, Millia continues tending to Ruairi with the aid of shamans, however Ruairi immediately accuses her of betraying him for handing him over to his enemies (at this time she still was still unaware of his run ins with the shamans) and, no longer caring about the person who "betrayed" him, attacks Millia. Tarlach (now dropping his guise) appears, relieved that his friend is alive, and the two cart Millia off to Renes and tie her to Lia Fail, planning to use her for an offering.

Once the specific Milletian returns to Erinn with the help of Nao, receives a replacement charm from Akule, and all tensions between them and their allies have been settled, they mobilize against the Cessair. Before the Milletian invades Renes, Nao briefly appears to her old friends and warns them that they will never truly find the answers they seek and is unable to tell them why. Once the Milletian arrives, they thwart the Cessair's plan by damaging Lia Fail. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Macha, the Goddess of Destruction, emerges from the now unstable Lia Fail and resumes her goal of destroying Erinn, forcing everyone to temporarily truce to defeat the new threat. During the battle, Macha pushes Ruairi off a ledge and into Renes's lava (but is saved by Shamala) and no one is able to defeat the goddess until Tarlach realizes something and taps into divine power to drive Macha away, resulting Lia Fail's destruction. However, as a price to pay for using such power, Tarlach is whisked away by light where he reverts to a child-like form and is later found by Berched, but before he disappears he warns the Milletian that someone will come after them and apologizes to them for his actions. Meanwhile, Ruairi, who has lost an arm in the aftermath, is given a prosthetic one by the Cessair, who continue to bow before him.
