- Dragon redirects here. For other uses of Dragon, see Dragon (disambiguation).
Basic Information
- Dragons are very strong monsters that have extremely high health, damage, and defensive stats.
- All field dragons are Raid Bosses and often require a large amount of players to defeat.
- All boss-type dragons except for Black and White are able to hit for thousands without a critical and will defeat most players in one hit.
- Most dragons have many unique abilities such as Dragon Dash Attack, Tail Attack, Petrification, Dragon Fireball, Advanced Heavy Stander, and level 2 of every Passive Defense.
- Dragons do not have basic skills (e.g. - Smash) nor normal attacks. They also have no animation for walking or running (Black and White Dragons are exceptions to this), and therefore, must use Dragon Dash Attack to move around.
- The Bone Drake and Bone Dragon are exceptions to this.
- Players can hide behind walls or other objects to avoid most of their attacks.
- Unlike all other monsters that appear and disappear from a puff of smoke, all field dragons spawn and despawn by flying in and out, respectively.
- Using Windmill is dangerous, since it may cause Dragons to to use Dragon Dash Attack more often.
- It is possible to temporarily halt some dragons with Lullaby, allowing players to prepare before fighting them.
- Dragons will harm and even kill other creatures in its attack range, such as Sheep, Aardvarks or Mongooses.
- If a Dragon is lured too far from its spawn point, it will take into the air, fly back to it, and land.
- This does not occur to the White or Black Dragons, however.
- Drinking a Dragon Knight's Potion (10 min) increases the user's attack power against all Dragons by 20% for 10 minutes.
- Giant can use the Vales Shield with Defense, as it will reduce all incoming damage to 1 as long as the skill is active, to survive dragon battles easier. Good timing is required to not get hit.

- Gives 50,000 Exploration EXP
- For more general information on Black Dragon, see Black Dragon Raid.
- As a raid boss, all Pets and Partners are forcibly desummoned upon approaching Black Dragon.
- Spawns at EDT: 2:00pm
UTC: 6:00pm AEST: 4:00am 11:00am PDT100 ~ EDT: 2:15pm UTC: 6:15pm AEST: 4:15am 11:15am PDT100 and EDT: 10:00pm UTC: 2:00am AEST: 12:00pm 7:00pm PDT100 ~ EDT: 10:15pm UTC: 2:15am AEST: 12:15pm 7:15pm PDT100 everyday.
- Unlike the other dragons, it does not possess Dragon Fireball, Stampede, nor Tail Attack.
- Summons Korsek Raptors.
- Its Stomp causes anyone in range to instantly go into Deadly and also ignores Mana Shield as well.
- Unlike other dragons, it can move on its own, and anyone standing in the beast's path will be harmed.
- Unlike other dragons, this dragon can not be sketched.
- When it flies up, it will proceed to attack with Black Dragon's Breath, which deals 100 damage each hit for 3 hits dealing a total of 300 damage.
- When flying or roaring, it will also execute Holy Pilgrimage, which causes it to heal itself by around 5% of its max HP and all surrounding Korsek Raptors by 50% of their max HP.
|
Advice
|
- Attacking its sides or from behind is highly recommended, as attacking in front of the dragon will make you more likely to trampled upon as well as being hit by its Stomp.
- Flight can sometimes be prevented with a well timed Windmill similar to how it is used against Crumena and the Red Dragon when they use Rain of Thunder.
- However, as Windmill also resets enemy AI, it has a fairly high chance to also cause it to fly again. It is therefore recommended not to Windmill so as to prevent the dragon from multiple chances of healing itself.
- It is vulnerable to the protection reducing effects of a Shocked Brionac.
- Consider using this to your advantage if there do not seem to be enough players around to defeat it on time.

- Gives 50,000 Exploration EXP
- For more general information on Desert Dragon, see Desert Dragon Raid.
- As a raid boss, all Pets and Partners are forcibly desummoned upon entering the Raid Zone.
- Will spawn between EDT: 1:30pm
UTC: 5:30pm AEST: 3:30am 10:30am PDT100 ~ EDT: 2:00pm UTC: 6:00pm AEST: 4:00am 11:00am PDT100 and EDT: 8:00pm UTC: 12:00am AEST: 10:00am 5:00pm PDT100 ~ EDT: 8:30pm UTC: 12:30am AEST: 10:30am 5:30pm PDT100 every day.
- Successfully sketching it nets you 1,200 Exploration EXP (+250 if it is nighttime).
- May only move via Stampede, and as such cannot intelligently chase players.
- An exception is that if pulled too far from its spawn location, it will take flight and return to it very quickly. This can cause the dragon to get stuck on objects that may be in its return path, rendering it unkillable.
- When it opens its mouth it will use Stone Breath, which petrifies you for 10 seconds. This attack is only used if its aggro target is within its range.
- Uses Dragon Fireball when it flies into the air; the attack range is large enough to be nearly impossible to outrun, especially if you are the target.
- If the Desert Dragon is a summoned version (a Monster Summoning Urn is used, for example), it will lift off into the air at low health (25% and below) and attempt to fly away with the message Looks like it's preparing to run away. At this time, the dragon is unattackable and Music of Peace must be played successfully to prevent its escape.
- The dragon may attempt to escape more than once, and the music must be played each time.
|
Advice
|
- Dragon Fireball has such a large range that, rather than try to outrun it, it's best either to let it hit you and recover the damage afterward, or avoid the damage with temporary invincibility (Transformation skills, Demigod, Personas, etc.)
- Standing in the proper position between the dragon's legs will keep you safe from both Stone Breath and its tail attack.

- Successfully sketching it nets you 800 Exploration EXP (+160 if it is nighttime).

- Uses Dragon Fireball when it flies into the air; the attack range is large enough to be nearly impossible to outrun, especially if you are the target.
- This attack becomes unusable when the dragon reaches 5% health; it will attempt to fly up but will be too weak to fire and instead land again.
|
Advice
|
- Dragon Fireball has such a large range that, rather than try to outrun it, it's best either to let it hit you and recover the damage afterward, or avoid the damage with temporary invincibility (Transformation skills, Demigod, Personas, etc.)

- Gives 50,000 Exploration EXP
- For more general information on Red Dragon, see Red Dragon Raid.
- As a raid boss, all Pets and Partners are forcibly desummoned upon approaching Red Dragon.
- See Traveler's Guide Menu in-game to see spawn times.
- Successfully sketching it gets you 1,200 Exploration EXP.
- Strongest dragon in terms of damage.
- Can be targeted in 8 different areas: Head, Neck, Body, 2 Legs, 2 Wings, and Tail. Some of its attacks will be temporarily unusable based on which area was targeted.
- Weather will change when it is going to use Rain of Thunder. Attacking its wings triggers this.
- It uses Tail Attack extremely fast; this attack has twice the stun time of other dragons' Tail Attack.
- A fighter with a high rank Tumble can dodge out of the way if used fast enough, or you can use the invincibility frames from Blaze or Charging Strike.
- It usually uses Tail Attack after it lands from doing Meteor and uses Stampede after Rain of Thunder.
- Attacking the chest and attacking the head when it's roaring will deal bonus damage.
- Oddly, its fire breath attack hits much more area on its left side than its right side.
|
Advice
|
- Traditional strategies don't work as well.
- It is recommended to attack the chest area. This way, you are too close for it to use breath attacks, and the tail doesn't hit you as often. This also gives bonus damage for hitting its weak spot.
- Dig a hole using Stomp or Land Maker to avoid its Meteor.
- When it attempts to user Rain of Thunder, use Windmill to stop it from doing so.
- When it uses its fire breath move completely behind or to its right side to avoid getting hit. Standing on the left side gives a much higher chance of being hit.

- Gives 50,0000 Exploration EXP
- For more general information on White Dragon, see White Dragon Raid.
- As a raid boss, all Pets and Partners are forcibly desummoned upon approaching White Dragon.
- Spawns at EDT: 2:30pm
UTC: 6:30pm AEST: 4:30am 11:30am PDT100 ~ EDT: 2:45pm UTC: 6:45pm AEST: 4:45am 11:45am PDT100 and EDT: 10:30pm UTC: 2:30am AEST: 12:30pm 7:30pm PDT100 ~ EDT: 10:45pm UTC: 2:45am AEST: 12:45pm 7:45pm PDT100 everyday.
- Unlike the other dragons, it does not possess Dragon Fireball, Stampede, Tail Attack, nor Passive Defenses.
- Summons Snowfield Slayers.
- Is accompanied by Blade Wyverns. They are not summoned by the White Dragon; rather, they respawn on their own.
- Its Roar buffs the damage of the Blade Wyverns and Snowfield Slayers; a purple aura similar to Battlefield Overture's effects will appear on the Wyverns and Slayers, along with the message "The monsters have gone mad with rage!"
- Unlike other monsters, its roar has no effect on players.
- During Flight it executes White Dragon's Breath, dealing fixed 100 damage over a wide range below it and freezing any caught for approximately 5 seconds.
- Unlike other dragons, it can move on its own.
- Unlike other dragons, this dragon can not be sketched.
|
Advice
|
- Windmill is highly discouraged, as it may have a high risk of causing it to take Flight, however using Windmill in the grace time while it's in flight may cause it to drop down, similar to other Dragons.
- When it flies up, if knocking it down via windmill isn't an option, immediately run away until after it executes its Breath.
- Standing right below the White dragon is also a option as the AOE doesn't have effect on the middle.
- It starts off only walking and does not trample things in its way. However, after sufficient damage has been done to it, it will start running, identifiable by a slightly different animation, which deals damage in front of it as it moves.

Notes
|
- Summons 5 Red Ruins Gargoyles. Replaces them after some time, and summons more if a Milletian dies.
- Both its Rain of Thunder and Meteor skills have reduced damage unlike its real counterpart.
- Can be targeted in 8 different areas: Head, Neck, Body, 2 Legs, 2 Wings, and Tail.
|
Advice
|
- This version of Crumena lacks Passive Defenses.
- Because its chief skills, Meteor and Rain of Thunder deal little damage compared to its Generation 8 form, if your Defense and Protection stats are high enough, you may choose to remain in close range and not bother trying to dodge either skill.

Notes & Advice
|
Notes
|
- Fought at the end of Generation 8.
- Can be targeted in 8 different areas: Head, Neck, Body, 2 Legs, 2 Wings, and Tail.
|
Advice
|
- When it flies up into the air to use Meteor, it is wise to summon a mount and run as far back as possible to the edge of the map. Once all the meteors have landed, it is safe to run back to Crumena.
- Crumena usually uses Dragon Dash Attack or Tail Attack after Meteor.
- Using Windmill before Crumena flies up to use Rain of Thunder will change its AI, canceling the skill.
- By any circumstances should you not allow Rain of Thunder to be executed; no matter how far you are there is huge chance you will get hit by it.
- Using high-ranked stacked Lightning Shields can help reduce the damage of Rain of Thunder.
- Attacking the chest while it is exposed or the head when it is roaring will bypass Crumena's defenses and deal more damage.
- Attacking the head when it is roaring will almost always trigger it to use Rain of Thunder.

Trivia
Desert Dragon
- During the Exploration Quest "Sketch the dragon footprint at Muyu Desert", the player learns from Alexina that Dragons do not like it when others witness their death and will resort to hiding in caves and craters to avoid being seen.
- This behavior can be seen in real-world animals, such as cats and dogs, as they will sometimes hide themselves when near death.
- This Exploration Quest also suggests that Dragons are vulnerable to Peaceful Music Magical Music which is the only way to prevent the Desert Dragon from fleeing when nearly dead.
Sylvan Dragon
- The Sylvan Dragon used to be the protector of Yggdrasil before Avalon's seal stopped the flow of time. With the seal broken and the corruption of Unholy Light, the Sylvan Dragon has become violent and destructive.
- Sylvan comes from the Latin word silva (both meaning forest).
- The Sylvan Dragon may be based on the Níðhǫggr (níð and hǫggr, meaning defamation and to strike/cut, striker/cutter), a giant Scandinavian creature that appears in the Prose Edda. It was said to gnaw at the roots of Yggdrasil, among other things.
