Aardvark (Family)

Details
Aardvarks are pig-like animals commonly seen in Iria.
- Aardvarks do little damage, but can kill unsuspecting novice players.
- They will detect the player faster if they are in Combat Mode.
- Like Wolves, Aardvarks tend to circle the player while using Defense before aggro and attacking.
- They will sometimes notice other animals, such as Gnus and Mongooses, and circle the animal with Defense loaded for some time.
Taming bonuses
- When any Aardvark (excluding the field bosses) is successfully tamed, the player will receive a temporary stat bonus of +2 HP, +3 Stamina, and +2 Luck.
Trivia
- Alexina mentions that Black Aardvarks are considered to be bringers of wealth (according to old folklore) during the Campfire Rank 8 → 7 Skill Quest.
- In real life, Aardvarks are medium-sized, burrowing, nocturnal mammals native to Africa.
- Phaea, the Goddess of Abundance, is mentioned in the Exploration Quest Description for Defeat 10 Maned Aardvarks as also being known as "the shining pig".
