|Notes=*It can still attack players using the Play Dead action.

  • When executing a skill, the Blinker will use Flight.
  • It will use Beholder Beam when it flies up, which deals high damage to anything inside of the beam.
    • The beam works identical to Life Drain, minus the HP absorption.
      • Absorption will bypass all Defenses dealing Fixed Damage, as well as slowing down any player or pet in the beam and prevents them from using skills, leaving them helpless against other monsters.
      • Knockback will deal standard Magical Damage.
      • Beholder Beam absorption will end and deal Knockback Damage after the Beholder Beam sound effect finishes looping four times roughly.
  • When it is spinning, it will summon several Python Shamans and Python Soldiers.
  • Upon reviving, the Blinker may instantly aggro you again.

|Advice=*Blinkers should be disabled and dispatched immediately, as their Beholder Beam Attack can be quite lethal to the entire party.

  • If you are being affected by the beam, do not move near other players, otherwise it will affect them, render them incapable of assisting, and/or severely harm them.
  • Blinkers are extremely vulnerable to Sand Burst, Frozen Blast, and Puppet's Snare.
  • Unless the Blinker is disabled, the use of Smash is not recommended because it will usually trigger the Blinker to fly up.
  • Magnum Shot is recommended for knocking the Blinkers out of the air, as long as you are not being affected by Beholder Beam.
  • The continuous use of Windmill may help prevent the Blinker from flying.
  • The continuous use of Ice Spear will also force the Blinker to be frozen in place. It is recommended to have it high ranked to inflict more damage.
  • Poisoning the blinker may prove helpful.
  • At lower Shadow Mission levels, a single high level Spear of Light or Wings of Rage will be able to defeat it.
  • If possible, you may use Mana Shield to protect yourself from the Beam Attack, although it only protects you from the knockback rather than the drain.
    • It is important to activate this before the beam attack is started as it will prevent you from loading any skill.
  • Potions can be used while being affected by the Beholder Beam.
  • Barrier Spikes will not block the Beholder Beam Attack once it is used, however it will prevent the Blinker from using it if behind it when it tries to execute the Beam. It will instead fly harmlessly up to the Barrier Spikes and stay there.
    • Be warned that occasionally it will still attempt to fire through the Barrier Spikes.
    • The Barrier Spikes will prevent the Blinker from moving past them. However, the Blinker can still use its beam through the spikes. Therefore, if you are behind the Barrier Spikes, and out of the Blinker's effective firing range (approximately half a dungeon room's length), the Blinker will float helplessly behind the Spikes, allowing you to shoot at it so long as you do not get close enough for it to use its beam.
  • If you own a Bone Dragon, you can have it use Devil's Cry to prevent the Blinker from flying up for a short time.
  • Certain summon effects from pets that stun and deal damage to enemies like the Sheeptuplet or the Spirit of Tuan can force the Blinker to land, even when it's flying.
  • Shooting Rush can hit Blinkers in flight.
