Gorgon (Family)

Basic Information

• Since they have level 2 of each Passive Defense, it is advised to use skills, not regular attacks, against them.
• Gorgons almost always react immediately with normal attacks when Smash is used against them, even if they have not noticed the player.
  • You can successfully use Smash when it is using Defense.
  • You can also successfully use smash when it flips from an attack like windmill and it won't counter smash for at least 2 seconds.
  • If the Gorgon is stunned from another player using magic on it, you can use Smash.
  • Someone can be a decoy and smash/wm it then have another person smash it right after quickly and it may/may not retaliate
• Although it tends to charge Defense immediately when knocked back by Counterattack, it will always cancel the skill.
• Popular strategies for fighting Gorgons: Firebolt-Counter versus one Gorgon, and Windheal versus a group of Gorgons.
  • If you use 1 hit skills, such as Magnum Shot, Counter, or Firebolt, or Windmill it usually works. Don't start with smash because they have the Instinctive Reaction skill.

Notes & Advice Notes Info in parentheses ( ) applies to the boss of Alby Intermediate, other values are the same. Due to high rank Intuition, using a pet while playing dead does not usually work. The Gorgons in Alby Intermediate have more HP, do not have Natural Shield, and give 255 experience for battle participation. Advice Try to use Windmill as much as possible because it is the most effective strategy for fighting Gorgons.
