I didn't see it documented and as of right now I'm not sure how I have been doing it, but there are certain situations where you can use elemental wave twice
Ie: after using elemental freeze, I can use elemental life drain immediately after... Has this happened to anyone else? Is this a glitch? (I can't recall if a monster hit me during the times this has occurred) or is there a percent chance this can happen based on rank?
To be able to do it twice is definitely a glitch. I'll look into this, but until then, refrain from adding anymore information as I bring this up with the staff.
The Elemental Wave skill triggering twice is the same reason heat buster triggers twice. If you get hit in the middle of the skill, you can use it again. Say before if you got hit in the middle of heat buster, you can trigger it again, same with elemental wave heat buster you, same with elemental wave frozen blast, and elemental wave life drain.
I learned it with novice Chain Cylinder, so it seems ranks are not a requirement.
However, I spent about 2-3 hours with only a Cylinder equipped and did not learn Elemental Wave. Afterward, after equipping a Guard Cylinder along with a Cylinder, I learned it after about another hour or so. Maybe having a Guard Cylinder equipped (with/without a Cylinder?) is a requirement? Has anyone learned Elemental Wave without a Guard Cylinder equipped?
=-= I've been at it for DAYS with a guard cylinder. As far as I'm concerned, you'll learn it with or without a Guard Cylinder, but everyone I know "cheated" with the Ace card e-e;
Just to give my $0.02, it is fairly rare. As a full-time alchemist I went from CC rank 2 to CC Master, and then about 5 more hours of active combat, before I happened to get it (and this was as a full-time alchemist, chaining mostly WC, Flamer, and Hydra). That said, it isn't ridiculously far off for someone that's training alchemy anyway and not planning to use an Ace card.
What about learning it with just a guard cylinder and no normal cylinder?
Left two alts online overnight, with either a cylinder or guard cylinder equipped. Both of them ended up learning EW, so it appears the only requirement is loading a skill with Chain Cylinder.
Just to make sure. Did you get the skill by charging an alchemy skill with chain cylinder, or did you attack ana enemy too?
when i use elemental wave then summon golem i get a shadow golem like it should be but with the difference of the shadow golem being weaker then my rank 1 snow golem so um is the shadow golem unaffected by clay alchemy or something? Please clarify what if anything modifies how strong the shadow golem is as i want it to be stronger than my snow golem because the shadow golem looks more cool but if it is weaker then there isn't a reason to use it. Also how much of a buff to the stats of the golem does the Elemental Wave give?
I'm not quite sure. I only notice there is a buff to some degree.
From what I noticed:
- Slightly Faster? I can't tell with its animations
- Taunting is fun.
- Appears to be stronger than my friend's r5 golem (I borrowed my friend's account for all of the videos for Alchemy btw o -o)
- measly 500 CP compared to the rest.
Elemental Wave affects Summon Golem very...strangely. The skills are awkward, the golem is apparently weaker and I'm not sure if it's even advised to use it for summon golem unless you need something to soak hits...which it's very good at doing btw.
Come to think it of it...it may be possible that the Shadow Golem is influenced only by Elemental Wave with Summon Golem stats. more testing needed as I still do not have elemental wave on my main. No nx to rb. I will ask around though.
as i started with the summon golem and clay alchemy on rank 1 it might be that it is only effected by summon golem and elemental wave to which hopfully it will get incrementally stronger and end stronger than the one with clay alchemy rank 1 as i have not been able to run tests on the alchemy mastery rank as i have not been able to rank it lately due to lack of ap
Just a quick blurb. After achieving Rank 1 in all Earth Alchemy Mastery, Alchemy Mastery, Summon Golem, and Elemental wave; The Shadow Golem becomes stronger then even a Magic golem.
I noticed consistently similar damage between Magic Golem and Shadow Golem at rank 5 Elemental Wave. However the Magic Golem had 1765 HP (With all bonuses minus Clay Alchemist title) Whereas the Shadow Golem held 1885 HP.
Once Rank 1 Elemental Wave was reached, the damage was consistently higher on the shadow golem (around 1-2k higher smash damage), and it grew to having 2061 HP. So undoubtedly the Shadow Golem is stronger then all other golems, the only downside being the lack of a 26 minute timer, it still is 6 minutes at max rank. However where the ranks correlate together and why the Shadow Golem starts so weak I am unsure of.
yes but my question was does the shadow golem only depend on alchemy mastery and elemental wave or is it alchemy mastery, clay mastery nad elemental wave ?
The only ways I could to test is to make a character with rank F or even novice clay mastery and alchemy mastery while only ranking elemental wave while having rank F golem. This would be the most controlled way to see what affects what. Also Alchemy Mastery does affect the golem, as it affects the size.
Actually come to think of it, I do have an elf with all the prequisites I mentioned...even with novice chain cylinder...I'll throw up some results as soon as I get elemental wave......if ever.
You heard it here first! Hehe. In case you were wondering what mystery stat Wind actually raised.
Examples at 50% Wind Bonus:
R1 Rain Casting with R1 Wind Alchemy, cool down goes from 120 seconds to 100 seconds. R1 Hydra, goes from 60 seconds to 54-53 roughly.
I'm not experienced with wiki so I wouldn't know where to start..., however it's the truth! It would be great if some editors wish to test out examples with lower ranks and figure out the formula involved!
Hmm...That's interesting...I'll forward this to my friend.
Sure enough, you're right.
Could you do me a favor and give me a list of the following cooldowns from rank 1 wind mastery of the following skills:
- Frozen Blast
- Shock
- Hydra
Just mash the skill hotkey(s) and give me the number the shows up right there and then.
With 50%+ Wind on the Marble & Rank 1 Wind Alchemy.
Frozen Blast: 25 Seconds, Shock: 53 Seconds, Hydra: 53 Seconds
doesn't looks like much of a decrease, probably around up to a 12% decrease...
Should it be noted somewhere that, as your gauges fill up, your Maximum HP/MP/SP increase?
It seems that the increase happens once the gauge is at least 50% filled up. Water seems to boost max MP, Fire boosts Max HP and Clay boosts Max Stam.
Unless I'm not noticing something, Wind doesn't seem to boost a stat.
I'm not sure if this boost is affected by rank either, since I've only seen my rF boost...
But the boosts are:
50 HP 150 MP 150 SP
Oh and this is unrelated, but if your Heat Buster isn't fully charged, if you use Elemental Wave, you'll be able to use it anyways. Oh, and the animations for the skills must finish to get the element charged. So getting hit or cancelling before your Flame Burst finishes completely won't award any Fire charge.
Also rank F elemental wave here. My boosts are 50 on each stat. Something else must be feeding the boosts.
I know all of my alchemy element masteries are at F. it could be those.
It's the ele masteries, I had novice water and was getting 0 mp boost, and then ranking it to F pushed the boost to 50.
I'll see how much my friend gets from rank 1 Water Alchemy mastery.
rF EW and r1 water jumps 150 MP. rC Fire jumps 60HP. r5 Earth jumps 80 stamina. Not sure what the interval is here...
Just to add to this, the elemental gauges and effects deserve their own page, not be lumped with Elemental Wave.
They have their own function independent of Elemental Wave. The only thing notable is that they are drained by two skills (which does not make them more relevant to those two skills than all the skills that fill them), and they are obtained under possessions of certain skills and weapons. They are their own entity.
- And how do you know it's not the skill that provides said function? In fact, the marbles have 0 effect other than being an indicator.
- "Under possesion"? Elaborate.
- Own entity: not even. They are completely reliant on EW, even if they only show depending on the equipment.
- You can tell where what stats come from with the usage of PALE and Something else that starts with a P which I'm not sure if we can discuss on the wiki.
- If anything, The Meters are a Function of Guard Cylinder and Cylinders, not Elemental Wave.
- You obtain the meters by having Elemental Wave and at least one other Alchemy skill that adds or drains to the meter, Elemental Wave is not the sole reliance and it is not the special reliance.
Either way, the case has been made that it deserves its own page rather than being lumped together with skill pages. We don't lump production tools with life skills, or all items onto one page.
- Actually, you can't.
- I'm not sure why you think it's okay to mention one of them and not the other (or, in fact, either).
- Scenarios:
- Without EW Skill
- Equip Cylinder + Guard Cylinder = No Meters
- With EW Skill
- Equip Cylinder + Guard Cylinder = Meters
- Without EW Skill
- Actually, you don't need a skill that increases the meters to have the meters show up. All you need is EW+Cyl+GCyl.
- Pale looks at packets and gathers information. The other is capable of sending information back, which qualifies as Hacking, whereas Pale is just reading and logging. Yes, it can be proven.
- Yes, as I said, that is prerequisites to obtain the meters. That does not make it a feature of Elemental Wave. Same can be said about Enchanting or Wine Making.
- Nope, you must have a skill such as Water Cannon in order to have the meters appear, I have tested this myself in KR Lute.
- puu.sh/6zvS6.png, puu.sh/6zw0O.png, puu.sh/6zw2j.png
- Forget it. This wiki has been forsakened long ago anyway.
- Want to make a bet on that?
I just realized the ambiguity in my previous statement, but by
I meant you can't determine the source of the bonus.
I'm guessing that's what the
is all about?
...First off this topic was reserved for HP/MP/Stamina bonuses and you two just threw it off topic...
Secondly, Elemental Wave is required to have the attribute marbles/gauges to show up. Nope is right about the gauges only appearing with a Guard Cylinder and Cylinder equipped at once. It will only appear once you have knowledge of it. Since you need to know the skill to have the gauges, it will be lumped with this page in a similar fashion to Act 9: Invigorating Encore. The gauge for Act 9 only appears once the plays knows of Act 9 at novice, and therefore, linked to the skill and interface. I don't see why it needs to be separated.
Wait what, that wasn't a spearate page already?
- The following should be separated, or at least moved from skill pages to weapon pages:
- Fighter skill's exceed system.
- Puppetry's gauge.
- Alchemical Orbs.
Just because you need a skill to unlock a feature doesn't make it a feature of that skill.
...Exceed system? You mean Chains? That's lumped with Chain mastery. Also Attribute Marbles actually had a page, but I believe it now redirects here. There was even discussion for it.
Just because sometimes a feature is not directly related to a skill doesn't mean it's always not a feature of the skill.
I wanna say the orbs are definitely a part of ele wave. You do NOT see the orbs until you have the skill. And you cannot fill the marbles until you have the skill.
I'd personally prefer things to be all on one page instead of having a tiny page for every single little thing. The orbs show up when you get elemental wave, so as far as anyone is concerned it's part of the skill.
You were stabbed during a knife attack, you now have a gaping wound. That wound is not related to the knife attack.
- Frozen Blast: "Becomes Instant"
- What is instant? The loading time? IIRC the freezing effect is instant the moment Frozen Blast is used and the animation doesn't do anything to affect the freezing.
- Life Drain: "Increased Rate"
- Rate of what? This doesn't have any success or fail rate.
