Hey, what's up with this edit? Did anything actually change for the dressing room besides number of outfits since it was released?

Someone claims that JP wiki says Luck does affects Lucky Finish, just by an insignificant amount and has a cap? However you said Luck has absolutely no effect on Lucky Finish at all. I'd hate to ask but could you re-investigate this as to clear up this conflict?
This sounds like the most awful thing in the Mabinogi World (pun totally intended) to test. To help with some of the math, here are the percentage chances of the different types of lucky finishes according to this translation:

I got used to the whole...assault splash...that was stupid. And Ninja gets changed? Well dammit all. Time to go fun my r5 Anju shuriken.
Overall I find Renovation very unsatisfactory; most of the changes are just meh or outright useless, while throwing in skills that render others completely obsolete and outright destroy the balance of the game. The most dumbest thing I find of Renovation is that Nexon fudged up the patch notes and got many things completely wrong ("Elves can use shieldless charge").
And yes, KR got ninja recently and altered some areas. Sakura though got massively buffed for no reason, so Meteor is forever obsolete.
It was already destroyed with this combat update. This game got ridiculously easy e-e...

For a serious question, as a mage, is mana upkeep a serious struggle? Do you really think a skill that restores 50% of your MAX MP every 3 minutes is much needed, and a "better" option over buffing natural mana regeneration and uncapping Meditation?
hell should I know? I never mage. My twin says his MP is always high (above half at least), but he "cheats" with his Holy Eagle Mask...stupid regen and MP bonus.
With that new skill he'll never ever EVER run out of MP, with or without Holy Eagle Mask.
Viable yes, but Mana Recovery's (Inspiration sounds stupid) boon is too great while being incredibly easy to acquire, and ranking it may or may not be difficult unlike Sakura Abyss. I have 1k MP and healing 500 mp every 3 minutes. Its pretty much an insult to Meditation, as well as the hard work you have to go through for getting Holy Eagle Mask (lots of RNG, economy, etc. etc.).
Why would I want to put in any effort for a silly Mask when this skill solves all my mana problems?

Hello. I decided since no one was ever gonna put up pictures of the Celtic Royal Battle Axe. They are sitting in their places but when I ask people to look at the wiki to check and make sure they appear only the item icon (which might I say needs to be cleaned up) appears. Could you check that for me/fix it and also point out what will probably be my obvious mistake?
These existed and were used in the Snowball Fight Event (2012). I have no idea about the others though.
Yeah I noticed as I stalk the recent changes. I reuploaded them to update it. I found a few others too as you can tell. Figured get them on here before it gets lost...kinda like all the older icons we didn't have. Also, I had no idea, as I never was around during the snowball event.
- File:Aroma Icon.png This is Perfume Making, an Apothecary skill. It was released around the end f G16 in KR test server, then removed and never added in Test or Live again. You used seeds and planted them in homestead farms (like exp-crops), however, they give special herbs rather than homestead experience. You then used those new herbs to make buff potions with varying stats.
- File:Balloon Action.png This is from the school club event in KR.
- This is the only omitted Hidden Skill, it is called Counter Blow (not to be confused with Counter Punch) and it was a Fighter skill supposedly.
- I'm sure you know these already.
- File:Magic Sword Action.png This is an active AoE that is obtainable when using a shoulder puppet accessory from the Swords Art Online event in JP.
- File:Spinning Action.png This is an icon used for some clothes, so far only Swords Art Online as far as I know. It makes the cape/coat of your outfit wave as if wind is hitting it, even when running/fighting.

The Alchemy one showed up when you made crystals in a steam oven. Also, Perfume Making might have been G17, not G16, not sure. When they released Master Chef, they just added in the Table Flip icon randomly and never used it ingame or in data, or ever gave it a name or skill entry. Shame. Also, I think that one icon with two people standing next to eachother might've also been the School Event, not sure. The Piano and the sword SAO one might be hidden icons (like Thunder/Fire Storm), haven't had the chance to test it myself ingame.
SAO had actions? This is news to me.
That sword icon looks like the Demonic Gram, but it didn't have an AoE; all it did was pass through parries and shield blocks. In fact, none of the other swords had any special effects.
I'm baffled as to how a navigation pixie with a revoked GM status can do an AoE...
Should accessories started out giving five revives, like balloons. Then the god puppets came and they actually give 2 prot rather than disappear on five uses. Then later accessories, like the Belisha one from the Halloween event, have passive buff skills, tell you which dungeon orb is correct, etc. Its not hard to imagine one could have an active skill too. Personally, I hope none of them ever make it to NA without a large nerf, I think they're way too imbalanced.
I'm talking about in the SAO universe though.

Hey, a friend of mine is complaining to me about the fact that you set the rebirth time to be weekly and 6 days, 0 hours.
Which I might add is totally correct, but she isn't happy that you don't just say "You can rebirth every 6 days." because she's arguing the semantics of weekly. It's obviously against the rules to overwrite a mod's edit, so I just thought I'd bring it up.
When you pull up your character window, it should look like this when you can rebirth:
The first day counts as Day 0, X Hours. That is why you can rebirth anytime after 6 Days X hours.
Now, as far as overwriting a mod's edits, it, to my understanding, only applies if there is a dispute over a span of multiple edits, which isn't the case here.
I believe the issue was that the article states "weekly" right next to "displays as 6 days...", which is somewhat contradictive.

Well no, you shouldn't. It's not seven days. It's 6 days.
The counter starts at 0 days, 0 hours and starts ticking up from there, and then you can rebirth at 6 days, 1 hours (or 0, if you catch it before it rounds up.)
Frankly, I think it works fine how it is, but she doesn't.
This is also why you can rebirth on Saturday after rebirthing on Sunday the week before.
I think it should say every 6 days and also explain why it's like that (day 0).
I don't think there's really anything to explain. It's literally 6 days both shown on the character box and in real life. You can rebirth on Wednesday and then rebirth on Tuesday at the same hour the next week. I still do 7 day rebirths, since I prefer it that way, but many others do 6 day rebirths because it saves a day.
Wasn't it intended to be every 7 days though?

Once every 144 Hours...oh wait, I'd probably have to say 145 hours.
Interesting to note, you can't rebirth immediately when it says "6 Days, 0 Hours"; you have to wait around half an hour or so.
Also the pop-up box during unavailable says "You must wait 7 days between Rebirths.", so I really think it needs to be explained.
Hey, it looks like you were the one who added that meteor strike has a reforge, citing that a friend of yours can crit for 400k. Can you ask that friend for more details on that reforge? I just want to make sure I'm reforging the right thing before I blow too much money on it.
If you're working on a way to split threads, you might also want to make sure notifications are carried over. If person A and person B respond to a thread, whenever a new post is made in the thread, they'd both be notified in the New Messages page. But if the thread is split in two and person A only responded in Thread A and person B only responded in Thread B, will person A still get notifications for Thread B?
Ehh, I was only checking to see if we could split threads. As far as notifications, it's not like I can see if someone else gets it lol...

You may not know me, but I am Kenero of Mari server. I am planning to submit an idea to devcat about a skill idea I originally used for April Fools but after much recommendation both in-game and out of game, they want me to make it a suggestion and send it to devCat.
In honor of their wish, I will do it, but I won't do it half heartedly, I want to do it completely. Complete with mechanics, skills, ap table, and even the quest for it. I am looking for an icon maker and a friend of mine, Psy, recommended you, saying you did brilliant work. I was wondering if you would be willing to make some custom icons for me.
Of course, I will give credit but I cannot guarantee if devCat will accept it or not. This is only an attempt to bring it and translate it to Korean to be submitted, however...
If we fight and win, it will be accepted. If we fight and lose, it won't be accepted. If we don't fight, we won't have a chance to be accepted.

That and Smash Critical Success reforges. Course everything is theoretical and so far seems to work (at least for me). I no longer have Smash reforges to further test that. I did notice that I have increased critical during calculation at the time when I did my tests 2 months prior to that edit. While it felt like I had more Critical Rate while smashing, it's hard to vouch for this.
I tested all of this on Siren (Hardmode) with 89.7% critical rate at level 200, age 24. My damage at the time was 120~214 with a Highlander Claymore with Lv10 Smasch Critical Success (+5%). The tests took a total of around 79 runs, each Smash calculated at the Siren's listed 60% Protection. A simple check of of Smash Crit = y/n was done. took around 200 Smashes and it was apparent (for me) that I had more critical hits going.
If you want, I can make a google spreadsheet thingy and copy the data there later.
I'm lost, how could you crit smash her with only 89.7% + 5% + 5% crit? She has 60% protection, so you'd need 121% to at least even be able to crit her.
2 months prior means before enlightenment. I'm not sure how much has changed between before and now.
Sure, let's see the data. Yay, peer review! Also, smash is the only skill that has this sort of calculation? Theoretically, if I went to smash foxes with a two handed sword at 100% crit rate, I should have a 35% crit rate instead of 30%?
here it is in its entirety. My criticals/Totals sort of match up my critical chance. Just a reminder, this was before Enlightenment and I chose a rather poor target to test all of this (the amount of runs never result in anything decent in siren qq).
here's the rundown:
- I smash the Siren and only Smash.
- All of these were done outside of Sunday, so this does not ruin the bonus critical chance given on Sunday
- I assumed the Siren was a Flat 60% Protection
- Critical Chance for Smash reforge adds 5% on top of the extra Critical from Smash when using a Two-handed weapon (My Case, Highlander Claymore).
Man, if it really gives +5% (and another +5% after reforges) past the 30% crit cap, that reforge is actually pretty damn overpowered. I'll go run my own tests after dailys tonight, hopefully with a larger dataset to offset any RNG stupidity.
Yes, please further research this and (obviously) pick an easier target. I had an overflow of Suspicious passes at the time when I did this so I was like "Let's spam Siren 8D!"
Although the data points otherwise, I feel like I was just super lucky to even get multiple criticals in a row. I was even luckily to even keep a log of this too :s.
Not to mention the reforge isn't overpowered...just hard to even get considering the numerous amount of reforges for shoes. I just got lucky with the a pair of Shamanness Shoes that was r1 reforged. Kinda wished I kept it =-=;
Preliminary testing has given me 24 crits out of 100 on foxes. Wat. Good thing I plan to do this until my weapon breaks, lol.
Update: Now I'm at 95/300. That's about 31.7%
o-o sounds like rough time. How much dura is the weapon?
Okay I give up on breaking the weapon, but I did 1000 smashes total. Here's my data. I didn't track which smash crit and which didn't. Instead I just kept a tally of how many crits I saw and how many non crits I saw.
- Age: 23
- Level: 68
- Smash Rank: F
- Critical: 72.1%
- Weapon: Claymore (Brand New, Blessed)
- Test Subject: Brown Fox/Young Brown Fox
- Protection: 0
- Crits: 293
- Noncrits: 707
This means my ending effective critical rate was 29.3%, which is closer to 30% than the expected 35%. This can mean different things. It could mean that rank of smash matters (I doubt it though). It could mean that having the reforge messes with the formula (I doubt this even more). Most likely, you just got lucky in the 250 smashes you did, similar to how my first 100 smashes made it seem like I was capped at 25% effective critical rather than 30%.
Interesting...I doubt smash rank would matter. As far as the reforging, it's possible, but could also be rather negligible. You might be right about the getting lucky with smashes. So time to remov it from the page, or leave it?
I tried moving the page normally first, but the redirect that was already there made it toss an error about the page already existing.

I just deleted it in order make way for the move, and then moved it to keep the history. I am a moderator of the wiki, albeit a rather active late night one into early morning (that's not good for me, but those are my comfortable hours).
Deleting pages is something only admins and moderators can do. If you ever have a move request needed, you can simply ask any make a request for via {{Delete|Redirect to [pagenamehere]}}
and someone will look into it shortly to do the request.
Now, as far as the Fomor Robe is concerned, everything seems in the correct order right?

people just make gifs using various programs. You can do the method that one of the wiki members use. You can find it here.
I use photoshop CS2, which has Imageready for gif making. I believe newer versions of photoshop has gif making built in. You'd have to consult User:Ikkisuki for gif making. He also made a tool, but I think it has a limited use(?).
I have very little experience with gifs.

Where do I indicate where the items come from if not on the pages or the event page? They are in the game and they are obtainable from the event, while it was announced that they would be coming from another one as well.
Wait until said announcement comes out and make another page along the lines of Costume Fishing Event (2014) or whatever it's called when nexon makes said announcement. Lumping it with a past event is not a good idea.
It wasn't even the past event that gave it out, sure the bait gives it, but the bait isn't the event.
But you get the bait from a quest from that past event, therefore it is considered an old event.
I would wait until something is officially announced and then add them to the appropriate page.

Yeah, but as far as we know, it is for a future event that still hasn't happened. Knowing it uses the Outfit Bait, obviously tells us it's going to be another fishing event, but we're not going to create a thread for something that doesn't exist.
And it's not last years fishing event that gave out the outfits. Specifically to say it's the bait that gives the outfit during a certain moment.
Hmm...well, until we get an event name of some sort, a page will be made and then you can add them there. I'm sure there will be some prize changes (hopefully).
For now I think we should just wait and do nothing about it, but if there's anything I learn from this situation, its the bait, not the event. Prize lists should be on th e bait itself like a reward box list, and the event should simply say either/and:
- This event lets you easily obtain the bait.
- The bait is only usable during this event.
As applies, in this case, only the top applied to the previous event so the fishing event of last year only made it possible/easier to get this bait, it was the bait itself that gives the alternate reward list.
The Flight Zones page lacks flight maps, do you mind adding them in?
Fast reply o-o; Nah, I mean taking the images and adding them onto the page. I'm not sure how I would take a quality image with a transparent map and such, plus I feel a bit sick. You're the only one I really ask to do things, but I can do it later if you don't want to, I can probably get a decent picture.
Oh that, I'm not even sure how to even take them either considering how upsized Tara/Taill's maps are now. Not to mention the Map window only stretches so much. And I was looking at war hammer upgrades at the time...

Flight maps, as the players see it, are an overlay of the minimap in a *.raw format. I'll try to see if I can turn the *.raw's data into a png then overlay it over the jpg minimap, then merge it down for upload. As usual, uploading Connous and Courcle will be an issue but other areas maps shouldn't.
How are Connous and Courcles problematic?
Every time I attempt to upload those maps to the wiki or most website,s the resolution and file size is too large. I don't recall ever having trouble with the newly resized Aliech maps.
Well The flight maps don't ahve to be 1:1 scale o-o;; Just needs to eb a decent size to, at the least, make out basic areas most people go to.
Just enough to show the tanned areas, we don't need all the small details.
