Seasonal Ducats are the currency used for Commerce. You can earn them by purchasing trade goods, and can use them to invest in or purchase items at Trading Posts.
When the Commerce season ends, Seasonal Ducats will be automatically exchanged for regular Ducats.

Description

Seasonal Ducats are the primary currency used in the Commerce system. Each player is given 10,000 Seasonal Ducats at the start of each Commerce Season when speaking to a Trade Helper Goblin or the Iria Commerce Association members.
Seasonal Ducats can also be acquired via trading in Bandit Badges, capturing Outlaws, and as a reward at several Seasonal Commerce Ranks.
All Seasonal Ducats are converted 1:1 into regular Ducats at the end of each season, or can be done so manually at a Merchant Imp or the Iria Trade Association at any time.

• Sayiv in Port Qilla only accepts Seasonal Ducats in her shop.
• Seasonal Ducats can be used as an alternative to regular Ducats when purchasing the Handcart, the Wagon, and the Elephant via the Transport Helper Ogres and the Iria Transportation Association.
• Seasonal Ducats must be used to rent the Dog Sled, Camel, and Skiff via the Transport Helper Ogre and the Iria Transportation Association, once the prior transportation methods have been purchased.
  • Seasonal Ducats are also used to acquire an Airship Travel Liscence via the Iria Transportation Association.
• Seasonal Ducats cannot be used to repair Fomor Weapons.

Trivia

• According to Sayiv, the reason Seasonal Ducats are used instead of regular ducats are because the Irian race's experiences with pirates, who would kidnap Elven and Giant children and sell them to slavers in Uladh and Belvast. Certain individuals from each race were known to amass wealth from this trade, and used it to cover their tracks. As a response to this, the Trade Association seasonally change the type of currency they use in order to prevent illegal trade from reoccurring.
  • A certain Elven man was a victim of this very slave trade practice.
• Prior to The Great Era of Commerce update, Ducats were the primary currency used for all Commerce.
• Seasonal Ducats are converted to regular Ducats the moment a player speaks to a Commerce NPC after the start of a new season.
  • Any Seasonal Ducats unclaimed from Seasonal Commerce Rank Rewards are also converted. However, Bounty Pouches are not converted.
