Notes

• Can be obtained from the Summer Forest Pet Box
• It comes in 2 variants:
  • Ceraunus has a glowing white fur that has white sparks appearing on top of its horns, tail and feet.
  • Red Eye Ceraunus has a charcoal-black fur that has black sparks appearing on top of its horns and tail. It gives off a black aura around its horns and feet which also glows red.
  • Both varieties have striped fur.
• Ceraunus can be dyed.
  • Its Fur, saddle, and accessory. Its fur will glow a lighter color it is dyed with.
  • Red Eye Ceraunus cannot be dyed at all.
• Boost will activate while running around 50 meters or so, which is the distance of the lamp post next to Glenis and the lamp post next to the mailbox in Dunbarton.
  • A noise similar to using a Beam Sword will indicate that Boost has been triggered.
• Summon Attack
  • Deals 200-350 damage to monsters within a radius of 10m and reduces magic defense by 15 and magic protection by 10 for 30 seconds

Special Ability - Mounted Combat

While mounted on the Ceraunus, Melee attacks will use the player's Damage, Injury, Critical, and Balance rates. This includes the rates of the player's equipped weapons. The player's weapons will gain Proficiency and lose Durability normally.

All players can only use the mount's Skills (Melee/Magic) while mounted on the Ceraunus pet. Only Elves can use Ranged while mounted. Using Melee will use the Ceraunus' Stamina and using Magic will use its Mana. All Melee and Magic skills made while on the Ceraunus uses the pet's Skill Level rather than the player's.

Equipment and Shields do not affect the Ceraunus' stats.

The pet will always have at least your bare-hand stats, so any Enchants, Titles and Transformations that change them will also be inherited by the Ceraunus pet while mounted.

Monsters killed while mounted will not count toward monster-related Titles such as "the Golem Slayer with a Single Blow."

Trivia

• Ceraunus pets display heterochromia in their eyes.
• Ceraunus, also spelled Keraunos, is the Greek word κεραυνός (meaning lightning strike or thunderbolt, with emphasis on the strike/bolt).
  • It is commonly used as a epithet for powerful entities, such as the Greek god Zeus (in the 19th Orphic Hymn).
• Before the release of Pet Types, players commonly mistook the Ceraunus pet for a dog.
