  • Nexon has announced that two new limited-time Fixed Dye Gachapons (red and green) will be available in the in-game Item Shop from December 23rd to December 29th. Both Gachapons will produce a variation of the purchased color, with the possibility of being flashy. For the Nexon announcement, go here.

December 29th 2009

  • Channel 4 of the Mari server crashed at 1:30pm EST, it has rebooted but the Christmas event is not currently active. The event is available in all other channels.
  • Mabinogi's login servers are currently not allowing many players to connect to the game. However, if you are already in-game, this will not affect you so long as you do not logout or switch channels. It is possible to login after several tries though.
  • The Christmas Event is now available again in Ruairi Channel 1.

December 28th 2009

  • Channel 1 of the Ruairi server crashed around 12:05am PST, but is now fixed with the removal of the Christmas Event. All other channels will still continue the event.

  • The Mabinogi Team recently posted a thread saying a crackdown will be made on modders and hackers. The threads can be found here and here.
  • The maintenance has ended.

December 18th 2009

  • Nexon has announced that all game servers will be undergoing an unscheduled server maintenance on Saturday, December 19th at 12:00AM Pacific (3:00AM Eastern) to 3:00AM Pacific (6:00AM Eastern). For the Nexon announcement, go here.
  • An unscheduled maintenance is currently taking place. Servers are estimated to be online at 3:20 PM PST (6:20 pm EST). For more information, see the Nexon notice.
    • The servers are now online.
    • Monster Lag (in which monsters fail to spawn or use AI) seems to be a common occurrence following the maintenance.

  • Mabinogi maintenance is complete.
  • Nexon has started the Latency and "Disconnects Investigation."
  • Ruairi Server: Going to the housing channel results in a disconnection. Logging back brings up a message saying that you are still logged in.
  • Tarlach server: Changing channel causes disconnect in some cases. When trying to relog, you will receive a message saying you are already logged in.

  • Alexina Server: Channel 5 mana tunnels are glitched and do not open.
  • FIXED - Tarlach Server: Going into housing channel at this time causes people to be stuck in the black screen and possibly disconnect when, in fact, the character is still logged into the game.
  • FIXED (as of 11:40pm) - Alexina Server: Channel 2 crashed around 9:30pm.

  • Nexon has acknowledged the game server and website latency/connectivity issues on their Facebook page. They are trying to locate and isolate the cause of the problem and have advised that they may have to pull the servers into maintenance again.   • The latency and connectivity issues of Nexon's website and the Mabinogi client are now fixed and are normally accessible.

  • Nexon has extended the maintenance by 1 hour and is now expected to end at 3:00am PDT.
  • The Tarlach and Mari servers are experiencing problems with the Housing Channel. To protect your character data, DO NOT enter the housing channel. It will cause you to view a Black screen, forcing you to close Mabinogi. Upon trying to log in it will state you are already logged in.

  • Nexon has announced that there will be a maintenance for Daylight Saving. It will start on November 1st at 1:00am PDT and is estimated to end at 2:00am PDT, including the time change, resulting in a 2 hour maintenance. For the announcement, go here.

  • The Mabinogi servers are currently down for approximately 6 hours while the Generation 8: Dragon update is applied.
    • The patch was applied successfully an hour ahead of schedule.

  • Certain people seem to be having issues with the Hackshield. At first nothing is wrong, but when the game is fully exited and started backup an error message appears saying that the Hackshield is corrupt and Mabinogi must be reinstalled. As far as this is concerned it only temporarily fixes because the error comes back. For the issue so far, go here.

  • The issues with HackShield have been resolved.
  • HackShield is having issues connecting to the main server. Users trying to log into Mabinogi will be unable to connect. If you exit the client completely, you will also be unable to reconnect.

  • Nexon has hinted that Generation 8 is coming soon. More pictures are being posted over time.
  • Tarlach Server Channel 2 crashed at around 6am PDT.

  • Nexon has announced a scheduled maintenance that will happen on Wednesday starting at 12AM PDT and is estimated to end at 3:00am. For the official announcement, go here.
  • Mari Server Channel 4 appeared to be locking accounts. Avoid if possible. Remember, locked accounts can be freed by changing your password. Password changes force ones account to disconnect from the servers, allowing one to re log in on a different one.

  • All of Ruairi's Channel Servers are now functioning.
  • Ruairi Server Channel 6 crashed at around 9:40 PM PDT.
  • Ruairi Server's other channels seemed to be randomly experiencing server lag and disconnections.
  • Alexina Server was offline at around 4 AM PDT. It went back up after approximately 6 hours.

  • The in-game Item Shop now offers discounted packages for "Back to School Sale." See here for details.
  • The Mabinogi NA client title has changed from "Mabinogi G7" to "Mabinogi: Ancient Secrets of Irinid."
  • Update has finished 1 hour and 30 minutes early.
  • Nexon has added more words to the filter. Any messages including "mmos," "gameoi," "gamei," and possibly other words commonly spoken by advertising bots will result in a system message stating "The phrase includes a term that is deemed inappropriate.

  • Mabinogi is back up.
  • An emergency server check started at 3:00PM PDT on all servers, scheduled to end at 4:00PM PDT. See here for details.
  • Before the server check, there was a log in error. Any user that tried to log in would only receive a "Logging In" message that never closed.

August 28th 2009

  • Mabinogi is now back up.
  • An emergency server check started at 7:00PM PDT on all servers, scheduled to end at 8:00PM PDT. See here for details.
  • Nexon's servers were not functioning properly; everyone has lost premium service, rebirth cards and have been unable to access the in-game Item Shop.
  • Some users were experiencing login problems as well as disconnection upon logging off or changing channels. The Nexon forums are also having difficulties, and support tickets are not functioning.

  • Nexon has announced that because of the extended server maintenance prior to today, all services were extended for 24 hours, and a 2x EXP event will run Friday (8/28) and Saturday (8/29) from 4PM PDT to 9PM PDT. The announcement can be viewed here.

  • The Ruairi server is experiencing problems with the Housing Channel. To protect your character data, DO NOT enter the housing channel. It will cause you to view a Black screen, forcing you to close Mabinogi. Upon trying to log in it will state you are already logged in. You will just have to wait it out until Nexon fixes it.

  • Nexon has released the Pelican and Eagle.
  • Hackshield has been updated and translated in the client. It is now much more sensitive than before.
    • It seems to have an error when running Mabinogi on all Windows 7 32 Bit and many Vista Machines. It detects a macro that is part of the Operating System, and crashes the client. Windows XP seems unaffected.

  • Rune and I have released statements on the Nexon forums concerning events on the forums involving malware and hysteria in response to same. The issue has only affected the forums and not the wiki, the two sites residing on two completely different servers in two completely different datacenters. The malware itself is hosted on a server not under Mabinogi World's control. Furthermore, M-World's forum site wasn't the only site so affected. More information can be found here on SMF's forums.
  • Fourth of July Event has ended.
  • Shaved Ice Event has ended.

  • The Photoshop Ferghus Event is now running.
  • The remaining accounts suspended during the Gold Dupe Glitch were dealt with. Accounts were either banned, all gold removed, or simply unsuspended. No compensation was given to those who claimed they were unjustly banned as Nexon stated these accounts were "Not eligible for the compensation." Nexon stated that all accounts released today had broken the ToS in some way, but would not release how.

  • Nexon has started the Cookie Tree Event and the Cotton Candy Sheep Event.
  • Nexon has added AhnLab HackShield as replacement for Gameguard.
  • Nexon unbanned several accounts and those that were unjustly banned were compensated with 60 days of free Fantasy Life Service. However, Nexon is still investigating this matter and those who abused the Gold Dupe Glitch will have actions taken against their account.

  • Nexon temporarily shut down the housing area in all servers to fix the second money duplication glitch. As of 1 PM PST April 13 2009, the servers and housing area were back up and available for use once again.

  • Nexon has temporarily suspended 2700 accounts of users who were suspected of abusing a recently leaked Housing Glitch that allowed one to duplicate gold through the use of bank coupons. Nexon has also fixed this glitch.
