Talk:Guardian Bow
- I just did a female spirt for the guardian bow and the stats that it start out with are as follows and Im not that saavy with editting so I was hoping someone else can edit these stats in.
Female Spirit Guardian Bow: -Atk: 17~30 -Injury: 10%-20% -Crit: 23% -Balance: 40% -Dur: 27/27 --Jgmartin 04:04, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Range
Dont know about anyone else, but the range seems shorter than a long bow... could be my imagination tho. (i prof guardians and have a ego llb) slayer1o1 01:48, 1 April 2009 (UTC) That's because it IS shorter than a long bow, but not by much. If you have an ego bow, doesn't it's range increase as it levels?--Magiobiwan 17:08, 2 November 2010 (PDT)
Used to be Human?
I distinctly remember this bow used to be sold by Nerys in Dunbarton and humans could equip them as well. When did they update this? I can't find it on the Generation update page thingy. --\(°∀°)/ 18:25, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- They've never been usable by humans and were only sold by Meles until G9. That's what I remember. --Naiya 18:52, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
They used to only be able to be bought with a Remote Weapon Ticket by an elf, as with the Quiver, but when G9 came out, they and the quiver became availiable at Meles's Normal shop and at the elf supply guard in Tailteann.--Magiobiwan 17:08, 2 November 2010 (PDT)

I don't know how to update this or format it, but it seems this item (and the quiver) can only be bought from NPCs as an elf character. This isn't really obvious on the wiki page.
Doesn't this bow lose dur at half the rate of other bows? Well I went to edit it, and it said don't touch and make a topic on the page, so here it is.
I don't know. Maybe because it's specifically for elves? I remember getting it tested a long time ago and was told it does lose durability at half the rate.
Well, when you are told by multiple people that tested it. It just seems pretty sure. I'm almost 98% sure that it does. Maybe someone here can test it.
And the results are in!
- Test: LLB vs GB Durability Loss
- Conditions:
- Tested on Armadillos at the outskirts of Filia
- Tools used:
- One (1) Durability Loss Recorder
- Two (2) Quivers full of five hundred (500) arrows × 2 (one set for each bow)
- One (1) newly purchased, unblessed Leather Long Bow via Meles.
- One (1) newly purchased, unblessed Guardian Bow via Meles.
- Newly created elf character
- The poor lives of many armadillos who were killed in the making of this data. May they rest in peace.
- Notes:
- Oddly, despite using 500 arrows, both results show a bit under 500 results. Something in the game allows one to use an arrow, but not lose durability.
- The LLB was tested first. The GB afterwards.
- After about 200 shots using the GB, I just spammed miss range cause it was taking too long.
- Oddly, I was about to hit monsters lightyears away from my position 5 times. SoG TRUE???
- Don't ask me about the outlier in the LLB results. I have no idea either.
- Data values are out of a 1000. 1000 being the true value of 1 entire durability.
- E.g. A value of 28 = 28/1000 = 0.028 durability
- Data:
Leather Long Bow

Guardian Bow

- And here's the part you've all been waiting for: sexy graphs.
- Conclusion:
- Durability loss for bows is 0.001~0.030 per shot.
- Missing shots consumes the same durability as hitting shots. Just wanted to make sure.
- SOG IS TRUEEEEEE ZOMG.
- Elf Ranged is a bitch. Thank god my main isn't one.
- Guardian Bow does not lose half the durability of other bows.
Now, tell me again about the "tests" that the "multiple people" told you they've done.
No clue, but I doubt it. :l There'd probably be more outlier values if it did. Seeing as there's only one value above 0.030, I don't think crits drain more.
No it doesn't. I just did a crit hit and compared it witha regular throw. though odd thing is, I lost more dura on a normal throw than a crit...weird. probably has something to with the tick. Actually it was the distance.
Well that is strange I just did a test too with someone with a durability mod. The results we got was that it lost about 25% less durability than a normal long bow. 0.284 total loss for Guardian and .373 total loss for long bow. We did 10 magnums and 10 normal shots with both bows and with both arrows hitting the monster.
