A human Prophet vaguely informs the citizens of Tir Chonaill and the Milletian about the otherworldly god and fails to convince them to become the god's Apostles.
The Milletian is attacked by Pennar who commends their strength in defeating the Apostle Girgashiy he summoned before leaving. The Alban Knights Altam and Avelin explain that Girgashiy he summoned were formerly human beings of Erinn that was corrupted from a twisted energy from another world, and that Pennar is from a group that serves a foul god and is responsible for the Girgashiy.
A pair of bounty hunters mention about an ogre worshiping some god and was captured by the Alban Knights. They also mention that the church issued the bounty for the ogre.
Trying to track the Alban Knights, Avelin asks the Milletian to stop doing so as their actions have created rumors about the knights and would jeopardize their secrecy. Brilluen appears to taunt Avelin and summons a Girgashiy that is much stronger than the previous and easily overwhelms the two. Avelin suggests they flee, but is stopped by the knight Talvish, who weakens the Girgashiy and allows them to defeat it, but Brilluen escapes. Talvish explains the Alban Knights' and the Prophets' motives and invites the Milletian to join the knights, which they agree.
Avelin, Talvish, and the Milletian then continue pursuing the Prophets. They learn from Nerys and Brenda that a "giant with fangs" was heading to "a forest near town". Using this information, they find Pennar at Abb Neagh, who flees after a brief battle. However, Avelin senses something amiss as Pennar never flees from battle and the three pursue him; Pennar summons another Girgashiy and continues fleeing, while the knights hold off the creature as the Milletian continues their pursuit. However, Brilluen and Marcan appear and the three effortlessly overwhelm the Milletian's Demigod.
Talvish explains to the Milletian that the injury the Prophets inflicted on them will eventually rupture them from inside to transform them into a Girgashiy; the only cure is intense meditation and training, but the location needed requires permission from their superiors. The Milletian is eventually allowed access to the training ground, the Cave of Remorse at Corrib Valley, where they cure themselves of the injury.
Avelin eventually manages to track the Prophets to Morva Aisle and the knights fight their Girgashiy and Pennar, Brilluen, and Marcan. After defeating the three, Brilluen playfully tries to give hints on their plan only to be stopped by Pennar and Marcan, however Pennar mentions that they will "take their queen" and they escape; Talvish realizes that they are going after Queen Eirawen. The knights then continue their pursuit while the Milletian, empowered by the knights' Crusader Skills, heads to Rath Royal Castle alone.
Single-handedly plowing through any resistance, a Black Wizard appears and turns a pair of human Prophets into Girgashiy, but the Milletian stands strong and defends Eirawen with all their might. Despite the alarming danger and the urging of her guards, Eirawen refuses to abandon the Milletian, viewing them as a god that protects Erinn from other gods. After defeating the Black Wizard's puppets, it briefly knocks Eirawen and her guards unconscious and commends the Milletian of their growth, but their power still has no leash and pushes them back effortlessly. The Black Wizard warns them that when their power finds a way, the world will face a rebirth of its own, and vanishes.
Rendezvousing with the Alban Knights, they know that Erinn is not safe as long as the Prophets are still out there, swearing to track and them down.
