Merchant Group Commerce
- For more information on commerce, see Category:Commerce.
Description
Merchant Group Commerce is a form of Commerce that can only be used in Iria in which players form a Party to start.
The only areas available for Merchant Group commerce are Qilla Base Camp, Filia, Vales, and Cor.
In addition to the regular trading goods, Merchant Group Commerce has unique wares per Trading Post .
- Access to the exclusive trading posts is only possible while in a merchant group.
- These items, like Bartering, are limited per real-life week.
- The limited goods count is shared across the whole account.
Details
In order to form a Merchant Group, one must use the Merchant Group Commerce Bulletin Board.
- The amount of party members can range from 2 to 8 players.
- A Merchant Group cannot be created from the regular party window.
- Group Merchanting Parties cannot be listed or viewed through the Party Board.
- When creating the party, the leader will be able to modify the destination, travel method, as well as the Finishing and EXP rules for the party.
Making a party
Making a Merchant Group gives you two options of travel: On-Foot Travel and Air Travel. You must select one to use that means of travel.
Once a Group Trade has started, you cannot change any party options, with the exception of "Leave Merchant Group."
- To change party leaders, the current leader can right click on the square the player they are changing to and click "Appoint Leader."
- This can also be used to remove players from the group as well as seeing what they bought.
- Once the group is formed, the ability to travel to Uladh through the boat will become unavailable.
- Members can use Commerce Partners, William Partners, or Alpacas if they so please.
- Their commerce bonuses will only apply to their owners, and not the entire group.
Group Info
You can bring up the Group Information Window with the P default key, just like a regular party window. On the window you will find:
- Group Element (the travel method, i.e. foot or air);
- Launch Point of the Group Commerce Session and its destination;
- Group status;
- Transportation method of the party members;
- The Monster Finish and EXP rules for the party
You may also right-click a party member for more options such as appoint a new leader, or check a member’s purchased trade goods information.
Destination
- Selecting a Destination gives a small bonus to the selling price of said destination.
- The Destination will be marked with an asterisk (*). This will also show on the information page during transit.
- You cannot change destinations from the Trading window. The leader will have to exit and change the destination before buying another commodity.
When one of the party members arrives first at the Destination and sells a trade good, the sale price is fixed for the merchant group.
- Party members who arrive late can also sell trade goods at the same price without a drop in the market price.
- When all members sell trade goods and trade ends, the saved market price ends.
Merchant Group Trade
Any Group Merchant Commodity can be purchased as the inventory is not shared. Someone can take a load of Tier 7 and another can take Tier 1 commodities.
- To start trade for the merchant group, the party leader must purchase trade goods when there are at least 2 people in the group.
- Trade goods can only be purchased at the trading post designated as the launch point.
- When the leader purchases trade goods and trading starts, no additional party members can be recruited until the trade ends.
- Once the leader has purchased the trade goods, members can purchase trade goods.
- A Message will appear to let other members of the party know that they can purchase.
- When all members sell the trade goods, trade ends for the merchant group and new trade goods can be purchased.
Warning: If you close the Trading Post UI after purchasing a trade item, you cannot purchase again until the trade ends for the group.
On-Foot Travel
- For more information on Bandit Encounters, see Bandit Ambush.
On-Foot Travel is the same as normal commerce.
- Party members can use any transportation methods owned by the individual (Backpack, Camel, etc.).
- Each player is limited to what they own, so it is advised to use the lowest speed of travel available in order to stay as a group.
- i.e, a Wagon and a Handcart can be used, but the Wagon will move faster.
- Each player is limited to what they own, so it is advised to use the lowest speed of travel available in order to stay as a group.
Air Travel
Air Travel uses the Airship as the exclusive means of transportation.
- You need to have attained a Seasonal Commerce Rank of Silver 5 for the season to buy an Airship for the current commerce season.
- In order to spawn the airship, you need to set the starting point in the Merchant Group Interface.
- Pets and Partners cannot be summoned while aboard the Airship.
- If the leader of the merchant group has an Air Transport License, the Airship can be boarded by all members in the group.
- Unlike Foot travel, encounters cannot be avoided.
- All players must purchase a commodity in order to board the airship.
- The commerce inventory is not shared.
- Commerce Partners do not increase the weight limit, nor add an extra inventory slot.
- All players must purchase a commodity in order to board the airship.
- The Grandmaster Talent Bonus does give you its weight and slot increase.
- If your Airship's durability reaches to 0 from the encounters, the Airship Crashes, the Party is disbanded, players lose all items they were transporting, and the reputation of the trading post the commodities were bought from will decrease.
- The Airship comes equipped with six Ballistae for defense.
- All party members will receive x5 Protection Stones and x5 Enhancement Stones for free.
- makes the ship invulnerable to the Wyvern attacks for 5? seconds, and using another during the time period extends the duration. It will not prevent the encounters from occuring.
- Enhancement stones increase Ballista Attack Speed by +5% per stone for the current encounter.
- Using it again during the boost increases the attack speed even more. This can be used for both encounters.
Airship Piloting
Only the Group Leader can use the helm to control the Airship. The Airship behaves like Hot-Air Ballooning, and does not require Flint.
Piloting the Airship steadily uses Stamina.
- The Airship has durability, which can be lost during an encounter.
- The Ballistae exclusively use Ballista Bolt (Merchant Group), which can be bought from the Trade Assistants.
- Upon reaching the threshold where you can cross to the next region, your group will warp and the party leader will have to take the helm again.
- You cannot fly over normal no-fly zones. You can, however, get from Qilla to Cor by flying to Lutra River.
Event Encounters
While engaging in Group Commerce, the party and its members can come across specific events.
- If one of the merchant group party members triggers an event, all members within a certain range can receive the effect.
- Encountering Bandits only stops the player that activates them. The group can move on if they wish to.
- However, due to the group benefits of encounters, this is not recommended.
Foot Travel Encounters
On rare occasions, Hidden Boxes or Ancient Stelae can be discovered while traveling.
- The Hidden Boxes will give a random amount of Seasonal Ducats between 50,000 and 500,000 between to the group within a certain radius, even if the player who found it is not the one to open it.
- The Ancient Stelae give a buff to anyone in the group within a certain radius upon hitting it:
- Increased profit of goods +2% (Can be stacked up to 10 times for a total of +20%)
- Both artifacts will show a banner to let players know if they are within the radius for the bonus.
- Until the prize is claimed, leaving the radius and returning will keep showing it.
- Upon arriving at the Destination, any player can sell their items; however, they have to wait for the entire group to finish as well as for the Party Leader to buy the next set of commodities to continue.
- Each player will get their own rewards for their own commodities.
- Be sure to have the Party Leader change destinations before they start the next trade for that small bonus!
- Bandit Encounter Reduction Candy and Bandit Encounter Warding Candy work like normal;
- The effect will only apply to the player that used them.
- Other players can still spawn an Ambush on the player that used the candy.
- This can cause unavoidable bandits as they can spawn under a player's transportation.
Air Travel Encounters
- Encounters will occur randomly during Air Travel. They cannot be avoided. Unlike ground travel, there is no warning sound that an encounter is nearby for either combat or a Wind Gust.
- Warding Candy will not contribute in avoiding the encounters.
- Only the Wind Gust may be avoided.
When engaged in an encounter, you cannot move the ship besides turning it.
Two effects can be approached during Air Travel, granting one of the following:
- Gust of Wind - increase the Airship’s speed by 50% for 3 Minutes
- Wind Essence - recover the Airship’s HP.
- If the Airship’s HP is reduced by 30%, the battle will fail and the Airship Movement Speed will be decreased until the trade ends.
- Winning an encounter will reward your group with buffs:
- Airship Speed Increase (+10%)
- Increased Seasonal Ducat Reward (+1%)
- Reputation Reward (Merchant Rating) Increase (+1%).
- These rewards are received at random and will stack on each other up to 10 times.
If your Airship's durability reaches 0 from the encounters, the Airship will crash, all trade goods will be lost, you will lose merchant rating, and the party shall be disbanded.
Wyvern Battle:
Defeat all Wyverns using ranged skills and the Airship’s ballista to earn a buff.
- Wyverns are similar to the Hot-Air Balloon ones, where you must attack with either a bow, atlatl, bolt magic, or ballista.
- The Wyverns will fly around and attack the Airship. If the Airship takes a set amount of damage, you lose the battle.
- Protection Stones will give the ship damage immunity for 5 seconds.
- Using another stone during the duration extends the timer.
Players must defeat all wyverns to progress.
Red Dragon Battle
If Someone leaves the party after the leader has bought an item, the Dragon's difficulty will remain as if the player was still there.
Attack the Red Dragon using ranged skills and the Airship’s ballista. If you hit the dragon more than a certain number of times, the dragon will retreat and you can earn one of the following buffs.
- If the group fails to hit the dragon a certain number of times within the time limit, the battle will fail and the Airship Movement Speed will be decreased until the trade ends.
- There is a short time period in which the players must damage the Red Dragon. If this timer runs down to 0 before the Red Dragon is defeated, the Airship will take massive damage and the encounter will end.
- The hits required to defeat the red dragon scales with the size of the group.
- Damage done is set with the Ballistae, and normal attacks doing 1 damage.
Group Commerce Commodities
- Group Merchant Commodities come with their standard stock as well as a limit on how much an Account can trade per week.
- This limit is shown in yellow when you hover the cursor over the item.
