Equation is as followed for max distance possible (Base LC damage % + [lance charge charge dmg lvl x 4] + [ lance charge main target lvl x 2.5] )x(1.2+[0.03 x horse back charge damage lvl)]) x (1+{1400 + (80+[ horse back distance lvl *20] )/1000})
Earlier the details said it was half the 3 sec target stun time, which is 1.5, but the summary says 2, which isn't half. Which one is it?
With all the weirdness of distance in this game, how the hell do you find the number that goes in there?
Where do we get a lot of numbers. More specifically the hoeing item %. http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Hoeing I know for ice spear wand and no wand range I just took the numbers we already had and matched em up. Well there are also some skills that say their range. Maybe a certain pickaxe found the numbers.
The pickaxe digs up the numbers, in-game testing determines what those numbers are for.
ANYWAY lets get back to the point at hand: how do you find the number that goes into the Distance part in the formula?
oops, I misread that...Umm, you'd have to use a lot of estimation :s it's not like there's stuff you can do without modifications to actually find it.
What I'm concerned is if it uses single digits (1 meter) or hundred digits (1 meter = 100)...
WTF?! HOW?!
Well it looks like the person is using one of his friends to activate a Combo Card, then there's Battlefield Overture, Mastered Support Shot,DK Trans, some Demi-God Artifacts I assume, Lance with Elemental/Lance Charge Damage Reforge, Lance Charge Damage Gloves, Lance Charge Distance Boots, and probably fire elements (the snake is an ice Element)
I don't know how much max damage you'd need and what the exact multipliers would do, though.
What about mount bonus? The guy's got Sprite Wings on.
Wouldn't that still count as being on foot? I don't think a Sprite gives a big bonus other than a few points of Max Damage depending on it's age...
I have no idea...
lol that's ridiculous. Imagine how much he would hit if he was on horseback. He probably has capped str (1500) in trans + demi as well as +6 lance...and not to mention crazy reforges. That along with support shot master and battlefield overture master, etc. Still shouldn't THAT much damage to be honest. Strange things a foot.
The sprite just adds def/prot on mounting the player. the damage is most likely from r1 reforges, the bonus from a critical hit. support shot, piercing complete maximum piercing enchants, trans and the crit from the step 6 upgrades. It's weird though...hardly anyone uses a sprite.
Maximum Elemental Reforge is actually 2x elemental. He's also probably got Lance Charge Damage, Lance Mastery Max Damage, Combat Mastery Max Damage, and a ton of Max Damage Reforge. Throw in a max level overture and a master support shot and Bone Dragon Chip along with a combo card and you've got yourself a bonus damage multiplier that is over 10x.
At 1500 STR, and with a weapon max of 130(+20 +18) you can technically hit well over 11k crit with Lance charge with no enchants or reforges.
A bit of a late reply to this thread, but I just did a bit of research on the Sprite, and I think the results are self-explanatory. [Here]
But does it also let you charge farther? That's where a big part of the lance charge's damage comes from - the farther away you are from the target monster(s) the more damage it does...and mounts increase that distance.
Judging from the distance, it looks like it hit at minimum distance require for usage.
...you can't tell that from a still picture. The distance in the screenshot is only the normal knockback distance an enemy moves when you hit them with lance charge The distance right there is way below the minimum you can use lance charge.
Don't forget, you knock them back after hitting. It looks like they are in the air. The video though, appears minimum distance.
The video, yes, you can tell the distance. However, if you had looked, I wasn't talking about that at all. I replied specifically to Littlesnow asking if the sprite increased the distance as a normal mount did.
And dammit, you're still horribly wrong. The video of the korean person using lance charge was certainly NOT at the minimum distance :/
I'm not exactly able to say much about my distance, I have rank E Lance Charge and even if there was a difference in distance, I didn't notice it.
Then again, 200 Distance isn't very noticeable to begin with.
It's 400 different if you're mounted or not. Since I don't have the a sprite, I asked you :)
It's easy to tell if it gives the full mounted bonus by loading lance charge w/o the pet, trying to get at the max distance you can use the skill...then letting the pet mount you and see if the distance is increased.
I'll take a look at it if I ever get the chance to, maintenance is on its way to the 16th hour.
I assume it's because they count as being mounted, but sprites have the benefit of allowing other skills too, that must be why the Koreans use them with Lance Charge.
Great, now can someone test for the owls?
Did it allow you to launch the attack with the owl?
Yes it did, and it definitely increased my damage as well.
lol what thell...this doesn't even deserve the whole 2 words. Now getting sprites is encouraged for maximum lance potential.
Sprites and Owls, when "mounted" on the player counts as being mounted. It adds to the benefits that you can normal attack and do lance charge normally.
The only thing to watch out for is being knocked back and down with the owl/sprite, but pressing the mount key helps with that.
You can't attack nor LC with CPs. I'm pretty sure Giants w/ Humans can't either.
I'm aware of Heavy Stander's impact point. I want to know if it will work regularly if hit in the Charge's path.

Where should I put this?
\#mabinogi says Tigers and Dragons can't be used as Lance Charge mounts. Someone test and clarify allowed Chargeable mounts?
