Heavy Stander in Charge Path?

I'm aware of Heavy Stander's impact point. I want to know if it will work regularly if hit in the Charge's path.

I tested Lance Charging though a group of zombies and there was no major consciousnesses as far as the side targets went. Enemies with Counterattack loaded on the other hand will knock you on the flat of your back, even if the Counter is from not from the main target. (can you say 'ouch'?)
