Triggering Part 2 of Final Battle
So after spending about 2 hours trying to trigger the cutscene for the second part of the Doppelganger battle, my friend told me that I had to have no wounds and that the HP Drain had to fully heal me. After hearing about that, I tried it and it worked. At that point, however, there really was no point in trying to continue that SM, so I re-entered it and tried it again.
... And it worked again. I was hoping someone could confirm that you need to be fully healed by the HP Drain in order for the cutscene to trigger. As well, it seems the Doppelganger usually taunts after using Fury of Light, since it wouldn't taunt any other time for me. -Revi 02:33, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, triggering part 2 does require that HP Drain fully heals your HP. --Aramet (Talk) 02:42, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
- When I fought the doppelganger, my hp only had to be MOSTLY healed. When I say mostly, I mean most of the part of my hp that wasn't wounded; I did not have to have 0 wound for it to work.--Th3Evil5Ponge 18:51, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Doppelganger tip idea
Would frozen blast + rank 5 and up water cannon work? The frozen blast freezes for 8 seconds even at rank F, which is long enough to fully charge and fire water cannon.--Claypot19 20:32, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
Cylinder given by default?
What does this mean? (in the final) ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 05:48, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- (Spoiler)At cutseen, Leymore give cylinder to character. --Juff 11:54, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- Is there something special about that cylinder? Is that why it should be used on the doppleganger? ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 11:14, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- I did not find anything special about the cylinder given. I dropped it and used my own cylinder, and I was able to enter stage 2 with it. I think the cylinder is given just in case that you aren't carrying one. --Dias 16:49, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Alternate Strategy to Doppelganger stage 2
The current strategy given for this directs players to use windmill to reset the AI. This works, but a note that rank 1 is highly recommended should probably be added. At rank 5 the doppelganger will stay out of range and will often re-aggro before you can get close enough again.
An alternative strategy only requires 1 pet. If the player stays to the wall, a pet can be sent in to gain first aggro on the main doppelganger. During this time a single Spear of Light can be shot at the doppelganger. The pet can be despawned and the boss will reset without aggroing the player. This also applies to when the minions are summoned. A single spear of light will kill them, and the boss will not engage when the pet is unsummoned. The process can be repeated until the boss is dead. --Mirren 12:29, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
- That sounds like a great strategy to me. You can go ahead and add it in if you'd like. --- Angevon (Talk) 14:33, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Adding on to Mirren's strategy, you can also play dead to de-aggro the Doppelganger, incase your pet dies. DesertHunt 00:56, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Here is my friend clearing the doppleganger stage 2 in about 5 minutes with r5 wm and rE mana shield. Honestly its the same way I cleared it. Before you say anything about the low hits its Advanced level and she only has about 20 defence and 10% protection. This is probably the best way to clear stage 2. Alternative Doppelganger Strategy
Since that Windmill AI reset doesn't work for me(?) since he spawns the clones anyway, I came up with another method. This method requires at least 2-3+ pets in order to do it without much stopping. Can be done with 1 pet, but it will be slow, since you will have to wait for pet's summon delay.
- Charge Spear of Light
- Fire the Spear and quickly prepare Play Dead.
- Summon a pet and use it to attack the Doppelganger until the Doppelganger is targeting the pet. Then return the pet.
- Repeat from step 1. Remember!!! Wait until your Spear's delay is over!
Works for me. --κєνıи (»тαıĸ«) 05:05, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Now that I read the post above this one... it sounds pretty similar... --κєνıи (»тαıĸ«) 05:07, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Yes, after he aggros, he will summon clones no matter what. You're suppose to take out the clones fast then proceed to spam windmill. Play dead is a common strategy so I wouldn't quite call it a Doppelganger Strategy. And you could always wait for enemy to deagrro without the use of pets if you're patient enough. G10S2 for elves
Some quests in G10S2 involve going into vales... Does that mean that the NPCs wont call the guards while doing the quest? ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 07:28, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- as with all quests involving npcs in an enemy town, talking to the npc involved in the quest will not cause them to summon the guards. however, after you've talked to them about their quest, they will go back to normal.--Marthian 18:03, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Dark Life Drain
You can use normal Life Drain on the doppel instead. I did. --- Angevon (Talk) 14:57, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
I also had novice rank HP Drain and it worked fine. Did a patch change this or are people making up new requirements? --- Angevon (Talk) 00:33, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Making up new requirements i think. I did it just fine with novice life drain ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 08:35, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
I'll make the change then--Leyuu 10:20, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
I was the one that put up that Novice rank was fine back a few months ago, guess someone must have changed it. Einherjar 03:26, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
On a different note, I just used Life Drain on the doppleganger while I was at full HP, and it worked for me. (At rank F with a Dark Crystal, though.) --Ashsaber 17:07, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
Explorer of Iria quest
It needs to be noted that on the section where you collect the cubes for the book it is specific to different dungeons for races. Humans and Giants go to Karu dungeon, whereas elves go to Maiz dungeon. Granted, the Maiz dungeon is a simplified version of it, but can still be difficult for some.Syl 19:04, 26 June 2010 (UTC)Syllwynn
Andras and Elatha
I ran G10 using the guide on this page only when I got stuck. That being said, when I looked in my inventory just now and realized that Andras's Music Box from early in G10 was still stuck in my inventory, I was quite surprised, considering that I finished G10 last night. It is not required that you use the music box, as I got the quest that it is supposed to give without having even known it was usable. I had assumed it was something like the Fomor Medal from G1 and just left it there without even bothering to look up what it was for until I realized it was still there after G10 was finished. I'm going to update the page to reflect this. --Jerl 20:32, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Replay final battle?
Is it possible to fight that Doppelganger fight again? I really miss it T.T IHarryl 11:06, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- On another character, yes. Same character no :| They MIGHT release a Shadow mission that lets you do it again, but don't count on it or take my words for granted.--Marthian 18:05, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Second Clue: Impossible?
The boss(or bossES) of the Second Clue SM (Obtain the Rare Book)are 16 Soldier Zombies. Just entering Intermediate level, I find these zombies almost impossible to defeat, since I have no Advanced Magic to help me, and probably they would reduce the damage to 1. Should it even be necessary to fight the zombies, since the SM itself said "to find the whereabouts of Lezarro's subordinate.".
- Yes, you must defeat the zombies. I heard summon golem is a good option if your own windmill isn't good enough. --- Angevon (Talk) 20:05, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
G10 Final and Royal Alchemist
Just curious, but, if you bring a Royal Alchemist with you, and they don't already have Demigod skills, do they have free use of them in this mission? Also, would completing this award them with the skills (probably not)? Also if they do previously have it, can they use it, and if so, are they free to use it (without limit and no skill EXP loss much like the main player when attempting this mission)? Thanks. --Rusty 11:38, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
I can use demigod skills while in a g10 final. I had them previously. I dont remember if it has a limit or loses exp, i didnt pay much attention.--Rais 20:58, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Under the tips of clearing the part where you assume the role of Arenen, it should be listed to keep the potions till you're further into the dungeon, if you are a high lag player playing from abroad. Since the skill times are rather slow, even regular attacks that are otherwise sufficient to simply kill any target are even longer due to lag, the amount of respawns is considerable. (like 10+ for me), And yes, i use the defence skills and such, and even so, he gets hit half the bar is gone. Specially when they start ganking. Now walking back each time through the entire dungeon without the pots, kinda takes the better part of 3 hours in total yet. if you die in the beginning of the dungeon, it's but a small walk. Also, saving the bandages too, since they are but a handfull. if possible I'd also recommend bringing someone along, although I doubt it is.
So:" Drop the ring at Maiz Prairie Ruins in the Rano region to start a solo Role Play quest.
The dungeon is Maiz Normal. Arenen possesses Smash, Defense, Counterattack, and Windmill. It is possible to deal 6 normal hits with his dual Hooked Cutlass, which can be crucial for finishing the mobs in a single combo. There is no boss at the end chamber; just a cutscene
"
Should read: " Drop the ring at Maiz Prairie Ruins in the Rano region to start a solo Role Play quest.

When lagged, save the potions and bandages for the last part of the dungeon, after clearing 10 rooms at least first.(maybe even 14) This will prevent you from having to walk all the way back to the end each time you die, due to lack of potions and such. Resting only heals roughly 200 ponts in 6 minutes.

(this dungeon is the first one that makes me bored to tears..) (Even my main toon would do better or prepare himself better..)
I've just put both my human and my giant through G10 final. At end of Part One, it showed an animation of my character killing Cai. It didn't require me to do Part Two. Nao pops up and says "<charcter name>, you saved the Soulstream. Thank you." Then the cursor stays as the "movie in progress" shape rather than the arrow, so I can't click the continue button. Can't quit the movie. Had to manually kill the program from task manager. When I logged in again, G10 was completed. This was on advanced difficulty for both characters. So, what's going on. Is part two only supposed to trigger on higher difficulties. Has it been removed for everyone, (and broken something in the concluding movie for everyone?) Or is it just totally broken?
Did you go with an RA and did he/she one shot the thing, or did you follow the steps normally?
Just got the exactly same. No party. LD worked, and then, immediately glitched thank you Nao. No clones or any second phase.
Pulled this out from Mark1962:
I don't really know the authenticity of the statement, but it would be best if you could redo it in a wiki-appropriate form. All caps and "it is a known fact" aren't very encyclopedic things.
Would a Doppelganger even copy the RA, though? SCC Doppelgangers always starts off as a copy of the party leader.
Ran G10 final with someone the other day (I'm the RA), and doppel spawned as me. I can confirm the statement is Incorrect, as we proceeded with the usual tactic of the other person using the music box and I using the life drain.
So is it possible that either person can then use the music box and/or lifedrain in any combination?
It's entirely possible that people asking for RA help simply don't/won't/can't use the music box at the right time (I remember it being annoying) hence the megaphone message.
... What. Why would you give the RA a dud crystal? Tharm already said it isn't necessary to give the box to the RA. Also, that "seeing taunt" is entirely opinionated, not to mention the fact the page clearly mentions when the Doppelganger uses Taunt.
For me, it'll only work if I tame a Lost Cat, but it says Lost Dog. Should it be changed? Is it a typo? My character is an Elf if that changes anything.
Well I know he asks you to tame both, though the page says you only have to tame one? I never tried only taming the dog, though, so I thought it was just that you had to do both. Are you saying you only tamed a cat? Interesting if so. I doubt race has anything to do with it, though.
I figured it out; I had to do a cat, THEN a dog. It wouldn't let me do just a dog. Does anyone have an alt they can conveniently try this on and confirm this isn't a glitch?
Hey all. I've tested this and bringing a tamed dog first does nothing. As Demra observed, it's cat then dog. Changing the page now...
You're very welcome. I'm relatively new to Mabi so if there's anything in G11-16 that needs testing, please don't hesitate to ask. Also, what's the best way to announce this offer to the rest of us?
- Rain Maker - Irinid: Do get a Cloud Crystal?
- Courcle's Heart: Do you get the elemental crystals needed for Life Drain or no?
and didn't fight fight the Doppelganger's True form...inb4finalform joke.
Snooping around, the Japanese has had trouble with this and still does. It dates back to September 2012.
So if you don't fight Cai's second form anymore, does that make the music box useless? Do you still get the music box?
The Music Box is needed to make the second form appear. What happens is that after you do that its done. There is no second form, no Doppelganger summoning clones, no you kicking its ass, etc.
If RAs can make it to Phase 2, then its definitely a glitch.
I think Nexon feeds their volunteers the drugs they're on.
It's suppose to end at the life drain part for some reason. Doppelgangers are hard apparently...?
HARD MY ASS. Everything's supposed to be a challenge. But if you think its hard, they should just get rid of its immunity w/ clones or reduce its damage reflect.
By the way, when you did it alone, how did the cutscene work? Did it immediately jump to you in Demigod form?
You suddenly jump into demigod and deliver the final blow. Royal alchemists get the usual cutscene and must continue from there.
Sigh, DevCAT and their lazy cutscenes...
Is it possible to kill the Doppelganger while it is in Demigod form? I recall that you can damage it, but its super fast regen makes it look like you did no damage at all.
Prrrrobably not. You need to look at it in the terms of stats. The Doppelganger is severely weakened in stats in the second stage, but is on par with the Elf/Giant guards... injected with Chuck Norris in the first stage. Theoretically speaking,, you should be able to kill it in the first stage. Then again, theoretically speaking, you can kill anything in the game, because there's no such thing as the infinity value in programming, just values close to.
I have watched my sister attempt to kill the G10 final Doppelganger during monster lag, in stage 1. She got the health down to 0 but the Doppelganger did not die, meaning she was stuck on Stage 1 until the Music Box and Life Drain were used against it.
She did. She was in full deadly and she kept hitting the Doppelganger. The health of the Doppelganger is similar to how Mana Shield doesn't stop when your MP goes down to 0 in Demigod.
"If you do happen to spend up all your Protections but barely made any progress, it is suggested to restart, as you will have refreshed revivals and return to the same spot you were in."
What does it mean by return to the same spot you were in? Everytime I've done G10 final and left I had to completely start over.
