Do you really need to complete Saga Episode 5 in order to be able to do those quests?
My elf didn't do Saga at all, she didn't get the quest.
Though this was like few weeks ago, so my memory may be fuzzy.
Did you even talk to the NPC quest provider? Did they say anything or did the option simply not show up at all?
Still basing off memory, and yeah I did talk to the NPC. But for some reason didn't get the quest.
But don't take my word for it, as I said, my memory of this is fuzzy.
you don't need to touch saga at all to get into shyllien or hillwen but if you are currently on quests 1-5 you won't be able to get in. clearing the quest will fix it.
When you speak to the NPCs responsible without having a clear on Saga I Ep. 5 you do not see the option to accept the quest, preventing you from starting the quest. The crafting Daily Quests located in the same areas will be available to you, if you currently can access the Mine or Shyllien ecosite. But the hunting missions are locked behind completing Ep. 5.
I believe it's finishing episode 5 of the Saga, but I'm not 100% sure, if anyone else can confirm it... It'd be good info to have on the page.
it's not a prerequisite but currently having quests 1-5 in your tab will cause the teleport mage & the elevator guard to not appear.
It doesn't seem to be listed, but doing the For The Hoard quest gives you an amount of Exploration EXP depending on which of the 3 choices of artifacts you decide to use to complete the quest. I've tested Gemstone and Broken Ruins Knickknack and the values are 80,000 Exploration EXP for the Gemstone and 60,000 Exploration EXP for the Broken Ruins Knickknack. This isn't a reward from completing the quest, but instead instantly given to you upon giving the item to the Far Darrig. I haven't tested the Tattered Nautical Chart, though so I'm not sure what the reward is. Also, I'm not sure how would be a good-looking way to add it into the quest data page.
I've met someone in Tarlach server who's still under total-level 100, and when we invited her to do the daily shadow missions, she said she wasn't getting them. She did one before (so she knows where in the Quest log they would be), when she was around current-level 50 or so, but hasn't received them since rebirthing. We've had her try changing channels and relogging, yet she still won't get the quest, even when she hasn't done either of them yet.
She claims that daily quests aren't given until you reach a certain level, from her experience. Is this true for the newer players?

Odd, Because I have seven characters on my account and all of them could do dailies before level 100. Relog?
I have done dailies with newbie players as well. o -o
I always thought you couldn't do dailies until you finished G1 after the Genesis update? Did they change that?
You can do daily missions without having completed any storylines.
Well yes, but I meant the quests. ^^; Sorry.
I have 9 characters that do daily quests and they can all do dailies. None of them have beaten (And some of them haven't started) g1 or anything. It must just be a glitch.
I doubt it's a glitch. o -o My elf has been getting daily quests since god knows how long, without even finishing g1.
This thread was started nearly a year ago, so AGAIN DevCAT must have changed it behind our backs.
@Cookie: Receiving dailies post G1 sounds like a rumor.
._. I would know since I recently created a new char. Hit a total of 51+ to get dailies. I have alts that don't even have dailies and is below 51 total and has not even recieved/started G1. Leveling them up got me dailies.
I have no proof of this, but I think you start receiving Daily SM Quests at total level 50.
Okay for the last time, You can do dailies at ANY level, One of my alts is total level 7 and he can accept almost all Dailies.
Pretty sure you're talking about something different.
You can accept the daily missions on the mission board at any level (pretty sure that's what you're referring to), however daily sm quests are different; they are the same mission, but give you some additional rewards. I can't confirm what the level requirement is for the quests, though, if any.
Edit: Just saw your previous post and it seems you also mention the quests, so ignore this I guess.
Yea as Kevin said, I was referring to the the Daily Quests, not the Daily Missions' Party Quests you manually accept form the board. As I said I have no proof of it and I am not going to go out of my way to prove it. You say you can get the daily SM quests regardless of level? Are any of your nine characters under total level 50?
Maybe there was a coincidence with my alt when last year, I must have magically reached level 51 right when I finished G1. I've always believed it was because I finished G1, not because I reached level 51. (I don't think I did though, I was only level 30 something when I finished G1.) I guess it was really just a coincidence.
I'm sorry for bringing up an old issue like this, but I just wanted to be as accurate as possible, seeing as my experiences don't agree with what is written. It seems the majority says that the bullet point remains true, so I'll just drop it. I'm sorry.
(Also, hi Kapra. :D I remember you from the Mabination forums.)
The initial issue was the Daily Mission Quests for 75K EXP and 15 AP coupons (And +1 Adventure Seal) not showing up for someone last year. You need to be 51+ in total levels to receive them. As far as getting other dailies, level does not matter. Only 3 dailies have a prerequisite to reach 51+:
- Both Shadow Mission Dailies
- Gathering
Everything else can be picked up and done at any level. Once you hit Level 51+ in totals, you will receive one of the two shadow mission dailies, and Gathering quest, along with the "Daily Event" quest.
I'm with Kapra on this; 51 struck me as odd. However, I'm just going to say "w/e".
There is a bullet point that says: "You will receive one or the other quest, not both at the same time. You may receive the other after completing, failing, or giving up the given quest."
However, that's not true. There are instances when a player will log and receive both quests at the same exact time. I don't know if there's a result that happens all the time, but usually, a player has to complete both or the quests expire. I was actually trying to find out if it's possible one can receive the quests again if he/she lets both expire, but...
Need someone to clarify.
It gives you a wing to the entrance of the dungeon.
Of course, you could just die and teleport to the last town.
And never forget Continent Warp!
Warp imps need love too.
Ok, now I feel condecending. Gimme a moment to offer my corpse to Sephirot.
Yeah, all those methods make the statue feel so neglected. I did this one Generation 11 quest (I think? It was so long so I don't remember) that required me to exit through the altar... I continent warped. I had to do it all over again Q.Q.
It should be noted which quests:
- Can be given up then re-requested for a different version of the quest. (Ex, SM quests and gathering quests can be, but dungeon quest cannot.)
- Which quests can be completed on another day then accept a new one of that quest the new day. (Nails for stone and rafting can be, but if you accept the hicca quest on tuesday and complete it on wednesday, you cannot get another hicca quest wednesday but you could for some other quest types.)
Since when did it ever have daily quests and what quests are they?
Duncan used to have an option to help villagers. Doing so gave an unknown enchant scroll which gives a random enchant. (I think it enchanted a random enchant onto your item, not give you an enchant like bundle of enchants.) At some point they made it an automatically obtained quests, players got annoyed, then they removed it completely I think.
