For Jams Session it says requires rank D Music playing and theory, bu ti didnt get the quest until rank C Music playing(i already have rank 9 thoery) I CC'd numerous times and waited in open areas. The quest for Jam Session didn't come across till i ranked my playing to C.
"Jam Session"
It seems you also need Rank F Composing to learn 'Jam Session'. (I die a little inside each time i say that word) Testing with a character whom had Rank C Music Playing and Rank C Music Theory, I did not qet the quest from Nele till I advanced Composing from Pratice to F. --Sai 01:45, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
- I have Jam session and my composing is Rank Novice. Dmazura 00:22, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
"How To Obtain The actions"
shouldnt there be sumthing that tells us how to obtain certain actions like for performance (the one that shows a box where people can donate to the player) you obtain it by equipping an instrument; how do you obtain playing dead, yesturday i saw someone at guild war using it. --ACE1337 00:24, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- I put them in. I don't think Playing Dead is available, but if it is, you can move it. ---Angevon

Stone Throwing not available to giants?
Is this skill also not going to be available to giants? First they can't play music...then hide...then play dead..now this too? It is appearing to be a bias against the giants in my personal opinion. For one, the elves are given the hide ability, making their progress in the Falcon quest MUCH easier than that of the giants when it comes to sneaking into the opposition's town. Four skills now that giants are not allowed to do..and all they have in compensation is that they can stomp? Gee, that's ever so equal...NOT! Again, this is a personal opinion.--Syllwynn
Hold your horses Syllwynn. Giants CAN play musics or rather just drums in the future generations. Also, it's not hard to infiltrate Filia at all. Just enter from the East entrance where you can fit through the pillars near the edge of the cliff inside the sheep/hen area. There's usually only one guard sitting in the center of the road that can't detect you from there. They'll have Assault in the future where elves can't as well. --Kaillera 20:46, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Elves and humans require a shield to use assault. They aren't barred from using it, who told you elves couldn't use Assault? And also, don't make me mention how easy it is for elves to get into Vales. =.= Hide. Run in. Talk to Taunes. Hide again. Leave.
Not to mention the hugely unbalanced Throwing Attack, which beats r1 range 9 times out of 10.
Hahaha, no. The wood atlal has 1500 range, and the bone version has a mere 1800. With the abundance of ego bows and modded longbows, I'd say that your statement was false. Very false. You are CLEARLY someone who doesn't play a giant. And coinciding with Syllwynn's statement, and the sheer ridiculous amounts of advantages elves have, if the giant stomp was equal in power to the fomor quake, maybe we'd have something. --Kurnak
I am aware that they will be able to play music- percussion only ones such as drums- in the future..but again..that is in the future in later updates. And the assault skill is, again, in the future. As I had stated, this was a personal opinion. Elves again do have a comparable skill in addition of mirage missile (which is available now, again they don't have to wait for later updates) as well that is an elf only ability. So if you stack up the skills for elves against that of giants, there does appear to be a slight imbalance to them and to their relative usefulness. --Syllwynn
Do know the game is always improving. Sure you can say it sucks at this point of the game, but the game will always evolve to make things feel more right and equal --Kaillera 21:15, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Elves came out first in other versions. It's only obvious we have less content for Giants. If you don't like the way giants are now, don't play them, it's really that simple. ~Rusty~
Ummm...I did not say "it sucks". Merely stated a slight imbalance to the current content seems apparent to me. And the fact that the game is constantly improving and expanding is what makes it so appealing. We all count on this to make it more worthwhile to have these other races. But again, there are some seemingly minor actions that are not available to giants, but are to humans and elves. And admit, how many times have you seen people laughing around and playing dead now? It's goofy I know, but people are having fun. Why not allow a giant to be able to join in this is all I am wondering. These actions are not, however, the only imbalance- giants have fewer options in the appearance categories in creation screen, and have WAY fewer clothing options. Again, personal opinion here. And also I did not say I did not like giants, one should experience the full scope of the game from the view of all the races in my view. I personally enjoy playing as all of my characters- four human, and elf, and a giant. --Syllwynn
Also, Hide isn't really a viable excuse, Elves only get it so you might as well say the Guards in Baol are hard to get past *excuse for humans* .-. although Range in pvp becomes EXTREMELY unbalanced unless both parties have it, and even so with arrow revolver or elf range, whomever gets the first hit usually ALWAYS wins, so elves and humans with AR would be better in pvp, but if we are referring to melee, then elves fail and giants gain an upper advantage. At any rate, sooner or later after many arguements, the races are all equal *cept for giants regarding clothing, can't make a good arguement there, but on the bright side you don't have to worry as much about it then :P*--Marthian 02:10, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
The lack of variety of giant hairstyles is made up for by the fact that they have hair with aspects only available to giants. Also, THEY CAN GET BEARDS!!!, no other [legit, player] character can get facial hair(Duncan, Fereghus, and the bartender in Bean Rua are either secretly half-giant, or hackers, dirty dirty hackers). They have less options for clothing, but for clothing that has a giant version (ex:bear robe, woolf robe), the giant one is usually better looking, more detailed, and bad-assier(more rugged looking), so the lack of variety only speeds up the process of picking a good look, so they can spend more time hitting stuff.(their main purpose = hitting stuff.) Giants are less restricted with the Assault skill, and load most melee skills faster, and speed makes a big difference in this game.--Sozen Cratos Focker 07:04, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Stone Throwing "Other"
Were do you get the rock from? Dose it just apear like firebolt? -- Ember Incubus
How do the people who did the quest before it came out get this action? -- Ember Incubus
The rock is just picked up from the ground automatically by the player. It just appears. As to the part about how others who completed the quest prior, this I do not know. Good question though. --Syllwynn
- Like Syl said, it just magically appears off the floor. People who created a char AFTER the patch were able to get the quest. --Kevin 05:48, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- Then why is it that my character has the skill? Or is it a separate quest from the "Visit Bangor" Quest that was added in for people who made their characters prior to the update? -- Price
- It was fixed recently (Today or late last night) --Kevin 07:16, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- What exactly is the name of this patch? I started playing in August and I have yet to have received any quest other than the paper airplane quest. ZidaneTribal 05:34, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Adniel's Hornpipe
Do you need an actualy Hornpipe item to use this action? Or is it like Trowing Stone were it is provided. -- Ember Incubus (Talk | Contributions )
- I think it's not actual action. Becuase It's Hornpipe Item's "Use". It's similar Ticking Quiz Bomb Item. --Juff 23:20, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
With the release of G9 I find myself wondering where the pipe is at. I've completed G8, but the hornpipe does not appear in my actions list while in the shadow realm, or in any of my skill tabs. Do you need to be wearing the dragon knight title to use it? ~ Aeril 04:13, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
- I don't have it either, and I'm literally always wearing the Dragon Knight Title, so yeah whats up with that?--Marthian 15:17, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- I think you'll get the item at some point in G9. --- Angevon (Talk) 16:28, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

- I don't think it's bugged. Under the Adniel's Call section of JPwiki's G9 guide, it states that despite clearing G8, you can't use the horn until the final battle. I'm guessing that means you can start using it in normal missions after clearing G9. Can anyone who played on other servers confirm whether or not this is actually a bug? --Berkt 04:42, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Is it true if you destroyed your Hornpipe, you could get a replacement from Legatus? It would make sense, since some people might destroy it before the finale.--Tricky B Bomb (Talk) 22:51, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
- You CAN receive another horn from Legatus after detroying it. So feel free to destroy it and get it back when you're going to do Shadow Missions.--BIassreiter 02:58, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Dragon Support Friendly Fire for NPCs
I tested this out and some NPCs does get affected by the hornpipe, so saying it -does not- include NPCs is really deceiving. I tried this out with "Conflict!" battle and I ended up failing record time since the NPCs were destroyed by the meteors. --Miyuna 15:12, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Yes that's happened to me too, maybe it means important NPCs like the ones involved in G9? --Bryanneo 14:20, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

About the Warm Wind L-rod
It DOES have a use. There is an exploration quest where you have to find the snake head something (I don't remember well) which is a pillar with snake heads aligned by floors, and the quest stated that I had to "raise the sand a bit" to get some pieces of the pillar (which I never get since it was just about touching it) and i had to get a warm win L-rod, build up some sand, click it, and repeat 3 times until I get it done. Once I get the name of the exploration quest I will post it here. EDIT: the name of the quest is "Collect the Cobra Pillar Stone Statue Fragment" and the description clearly stats : raise the sand a bitDmazura 00:26, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
- Monumental info right there. Unless the quest has an abnormally high reward or is really close to Filia or an MT, then I would still say it is impractical to buy a warm wind.--Haven923 14:32, 22 March 2010 (UTC) :\
When using a Tower Cylinder..
While it's draining 1 stamina point per second, does using alchemy skills use take away stamina as well, or the cost of using stamina in alchemy skills is replaced with the 1 stamina per second while using a tower cylinder? --Bryanneo 14:22, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Playing Dead V. Claim Solas
I ran Adv Finale yestersday and after fair warning (and lots of it), everyone but myself got nuked from Adniel. I had no feathers (save for an adv feather that I later used to save the day in one of my pets) and claim targeted and charged at me. I played dead and, to my entire part's surprise, he did not hit me. Could someone else test this? I think that I had barely finished the animation when he charged over me ;) --Haven923 14:40, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
- could have just been that playing dead moved you out if the way in time, but yea, I'll test that when I get there.--Sozen Cratos Focker 19:00, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- Nope, I was facing him and flew backwards when I used the action. He ended up stopping just a little bit past being centered on top of me. It didn't move me out of the way.--Haven923 02:53, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Exclusive Street Artist skill
Should we add the "Exclusive Street Artist" skill? It has a green background like any other action. It's description is "An exclusive Street Artist skill. Cannot be used by a normal user." ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 10:36, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Playing dead and provoking AI before playing dead
There is a good chance that if you provoke an enemy (Using Ice bolt or using a normal attack for examples) it will glitch towards your character while playing dead and smack you out of it. I've seen skeletons do this personally along with kobolds and goblins where they personally ignore play dead.--Aubog007 11:28, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Install Kiosk?
Anyone have any more information on this action? Is it anything like setting up a personal shop? o-o;--Th3Evil5Ponge 20:31, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Play Dead not available for humans anymore
I stopped playing Mabinogi before Play Dead came out, and when I came back (December 09), I couldn't get it. I've asked Tracy about skills multiple times and I still don't get the quest or skill. I've also made other human characters and I still don't get the quest to talk to Tracy for it. Did they change it (rather late) so that Play Dead is an Elf-only action? Or is it just me? (inb4 you have to finish the carpentry quest first. I asked him about it before g11, but I just now got the idea to ask about it on Mabiwiki) --ℜ 17:08, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Is that a permanent addition or just for the Couple Breaker Event?
Apparently it's not permanent. After the patch and the removal of the couple's event, my character's Rock Throwing action disappeared. It's very trivial, too, because it can be very useful. I wonder why Nexon hates Giants?
Kinda needs to be reworded to say TEMPORARY don't you folks think? "During the Couple Breaker Event, Giants could temporary learn Rock Throwing." Right now it's phrased as if it was a patch that made it a permanent addition.
Would it be fine saying "During the Couple Breaker Event, Giants were given a quest to learn Rock Throwing. After the event, the skill was removed."?
I updated it just now to what I think sounds reasonable, but feel free to reword it if you want.
Yeah I think that sounds fine.

I tried it on two Arc Liches, both wouldn't let me sketch twice. It said I sketched it more than enough or something along those lines and no cooldown occurred.
However, I tried the same thing on a Venomous Rock Scorpion and a King Connous Lizard, and I could sketch them twice.
... Weird.
Um, I couldn't sketch a Frail Green Kiwi. IIRC all other kiwi monsters are sketchable...
Other than them and White Spider, what else in Iria you can't sketch? I'm guessing you can't sketch the Saga mobs, too?
Just like to mention, she DOES trigger Mana Deflector and it DOES reduce damage. (Verona Black Prison Ghosts take 5 damage total from her shockwave)
Additionally, the Dark Commander in Fomor Attack resists her until he has been weakened by Rusted Longswords, so I'm going to assume that she does not bypass invulnerability, either.
I'm removing the line that says this.
You say you've tested it on a mob with Mana Deflector and a mob with high protection, but have you actually tested it on an invulnerable mob? Protection/Damage Reduction =/= Invulnerability.
Tested on an Amethyst Magic Golem - She does not penetrate invulnerability. Using her lands 5 total damage and prompts the typical "This weapon isn't making any impact" message each time she hits.
Could I please see some evidence of your claims and/or more eyewitness testimony? Because I've heard otherwise (or maybe I'm mistaken for the Yui puppet).
I got hit by Black Dragon's stomp, and Mikaya claims that Blade Wyvern bit her in midair. Weird intended function or glitch?
By the way Mikaya, what happened to you after? My body was lying flat in the air in deadly but the action didn't cancel.
ASDFASDFASDFASDFSDAF D:<!
...uhh, I lost the normal HP but stayed in flight. I think it's a glitch or it targets the player's position, rather than the actual player. People couldn't hit me out of it either unless they used Gun Skills or range.
Update: Going into an empty channel, I'm free to move around and the Blade Wyvern appears directly under my position. had a friend hit me out of it and it worked...didn't work last time but might be due to lag. Funny thing is, I can drag the Blade Wyvern around for a while and it doesn't cause displacement lag (lolwut?). White Dragon skills can't touch me so no worries there.
I didn't play with a party so I have no idea.
I've been chased by blade wyverns in the air as well, but I thought it'd be obvious that they can hit you in midair due to their raspa counterparts being able to do so as well. Oh and it targets the player. The 4 that came after me flew up to where I was when they started biting.
Are you sure you didn't fly just as the black dragon stomped? There's like a small delay before you actually start flying (from my experience at least). I can't really say with 100% certainty about people you're flying with, but the person I was carrying to the white dragon drew a few aggros, and we both got attacked by 2 separate wyverns, but only took damage from the ones attacking us.
Wait, since when can Zardine wyverns can attack 1st Couples Flight? They've never done that to me last month.
I was in the air for quite a long while and then I was suddenly sent to deadly.
I flew right next to an Ice Wyvern today and it didn't attack me o-o
I haven't actually seen it in motion but its basically Spread Wings with actual flying? Do you HAVE to use it with soulmate? Do you need to be in a party to be "mounted" for it?
Also, isn't Doki Doki a no-flight zone? How can you fly there then?
You can use it alone.
Not sure about party one, because I was in a party with my soulmate but didn't test it without party. But in most likely cases: Yes you do need to be in a party to req someone.
It has similar animation to Spread Wings, while you're still on the ground, floating. While you're in the sky, animation is much more fun .3.
Edit: You can fly in Doki Doki. o- o -has used my mounts plenty of times there to fly-
I haven't really been able to compare because of the intense lag.
Edit: Though it seems to be as fast as an eagle mount.
Oh good, its not overpowered.
The controls are basically the same as a flying mount? V to land/take off, WASD to move, spacebar to go forward, all that?
Yeah, it's basically a mountless mount.
Can you fly in the vicinity of a raid boss and not get gravity-pulled to the ground?
Yea, the main advantage of this is that it can be used in a raid whereas mounts cannot.
Double post.
Is it me or do Wyverns not attack people with this action? I flew near a whole bunch and they acted as if I wasn't there.
Yes. They will attack any trespassers in their airspace. Though I think it's attempting to aggro a pet that is not there, which my be why they are not hostile.
I just checked with both Thunder Dragon and Nimbus, Wyverns didn't attack. So either:
- It was recently changed.
- Its bugged. Or
- They never attacked pets at all and its a false claim.
I usually update the item and monster pages of the wiki, not the pages like this, so I don't know the format for adding actions. There's a new action called Chorus that tells the player "You may join a Jam Session and sing with your party members." For me, it is between continent warp and the farming actions. Could someone please add it in? I'm not sure when I got it, but I think it's from party jam, and getting singing to a certain level(or perhaps getting Fantastic Chorus)?
Avon is counted as part of Uladh, Portia's House is counted as part of Uladh, would ^ also be counted as part of Uladh too?
Why don't you go try it?
Edit: Did one for you, Castanae's Home is Iria. Also, Portia's house is Iria now too.
Ah, just making sure DevCAT didn't make those odd mistakes.
Krug's house is Iria.
When I created an elf character they did not start with the Play Dead action, or the "Tracy's Escape Route" quest that Humans get when created. Do elves now recieve a quest for Play Dead at a later time, or do they no longer receive Play Dead?
Trivia: Some foreign servers have 100% success rate when players all use this skill.
Afaik, no server has any advantage with this skill?
Besides, all players will have to use this skill regardless to play, so there will always be a chance to have a 100% success rate (all players playing perfectly)...
I've been using continent warp without restrictions on time, anyone able to confirm?
So, now that Continent Warp has been made into an ACTION, pets are capable of using it. This is actually very handy. I made an edit on the section about Continent Warp on the end of All Characters can use this, but maybe we should add pets able to use it as a separate line?
I logged into two different pets, and for both of them it gave me a notice message when I used the action saying I cannot use the skill, and I was not warped.
I tried three pets myself. All of them said "the first character you generated cannot teleport to a different continent", so yeah, pet's can't actually move. We can probably leave a note saying pets have the action, just they can't use it properly.
That's odd. Last night I was able to warp 2 of my pets successfully. I was not able to warp them to Belvast, but Belvast you must visit by boat first. I can post a video to Youtube to give proof if you would like.
Can it be used in the g12 final? since it technically is a shadow mission so i assume its in the shadow realm.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I used it this one time a slow connection prevented Nuadha from aggroing me. But while he's in the air it doesn't strike him at all. It probably can if he's on the ground, but Daols positively mobs you, and after that Morrighan's in the fight, so it's probably not a good idea to use it.
