This skill awakens the spirit inside of the Spirit Weapon to actually assist in combat. The spirit, once awakened, has the ability to attack multiple targets within a general vicinity. In order for spirits to make attacks however, they must first be awakened, but only spirits with a Social Level of at least 21 can do so. The energy required to awaken the spirit can only be collected a small amount at a time, through using the Spirit Weapon in combat. Only when enough energy has been gathered can this skill then be activated. As soon as the skill is activated, the energy begins to escape though, and since no further energy can be gathered, this skill should only be activated once an appropriate target has been spotted.

Details

Spirit Weapon Awakening interface.
  • Borrows strength from a Spirit Weapon and performs an area attack to knock down enemies.
  • The actual skill name depends on the type of weapon spirit being used. The possible skill names are:
    • Spirit Sword Awakening - located in the Combat tab of the Skill window.
    • Spirit Blunt Awakening - located in the Combat tab of the Skill window.
    • Spirit Bow Awakening - located in the Combat tab of the Skill window.
    • Spirit Wand Awakening - located in the Magic tab of the Skill window.
    • Spirit Cylinder Awakening - located in the Alchemy tab of the Skill window.
  • The energy required to activate the skill is 100.
    • The type of Spirit Weapon, Spirit Gender or the rank of the skill has no effect on this.
  • The area of effect will differ depending on the type of weapon.
  • Like Transformation skills, your Spirit Weapon awakening will rank up without requiring AP.
  • Like Transformation skills, you cannot untrain the ability, even with Reset Capsules.
    • However, if you decide to end your contract with your Spirit Weapon, you will lose the skill and will not be able to use it again until you obtain another Spirit Weapon that has a social level of 21 or higher.
  • As the skill Rank increases, the attack power will increase, as well as the attack radius.
  • As the skill Rank increases, the amount of energy able to be charged increases. In the beginning, at rank F, 100 energy is available which is enough to use the skill once. At rank 1, 300 energy is available, allowing a maximum of 3 uses.
  • It will take a brief moment to load before unleashing and energy will continuously drain while the charge is taking place.
    • The skill takes approximately 10 energy to load, and an additional 1 energy per second until it is either canceled or used.
    • Canceling the skill will cause you to lose the drained energy. Using the skill however will just take 100 points regardless of drain energy.
    • If the skill is interrupted while loading then the drain of energy will be stopped.
  • Spirit Weapon Awakening ignores monster's Protection to determine critical percentage.
  • Defense and Counterattack will not work on Spirit Weapon Awakening.
    • Passive Defenses will still reduce the damage of Spirit Weapon Awakening given the Passive Defense corresponds to the type of awakening attack (e.g., Spirit Wand Awakening used against Zombies will do 1 damage).
  • Spirit Wand Awakening is an elemental attack that is dependent on the element of the wand (e.g., Fire Wand spirits have a fire elemental awakening, Ice Wand spirits have an ice elemental awakening, etc.) Note that Combat and Healing wands are non-elemental.
  • The damage inflicted relies only on the rank of the skill; the weapon's and the user's stats have no effect on the skill.
  • Can be used during Windmill's animation.
  • The Blunt and Sword versions of this skill trigger Heavy Stander, the Bow version triggers Natural Shield, and the Wand and Cylinder versions trigger Mana Deflector.
  • After the skill is used, there is approximately a 36 real-life minute cool down time (equivalent to one full Erinn day). During this time, the skill cannot gain energy from attacking.
    • However, the skill can be used in rapid succession, so long as the player has at least 100 points left.
  • There are two ways to charge energy for the Incarnate skill:
Attack with the Spirit Weapon Talk with the Spirit
+2 Points
No gain from "Weakest" enemies with skills.
+5 Points
When the Spirit Weapon goes down a hunger level.

Obtaining The Skill

  • Novice Rank is learned upon creating a Spirit Weapon.
  • The spirit weapon must be at level 21 Social before the awakening skill can be used.

Summary

  • Note: When Dual Wielding with a Spirit Weapon equipped, players must have the spirit weapon in the left inventory slot (right hand) in order to activate the skill.
  • Note: The percentage increase in attack range is based on the splash range of the individual weapon for swords, blunt weapons and wands.
