Admiral Owen summons the Milletian to see him personally. After the Milletian arrives, he begins to talk about an incident that occurred regarding Antonio's escape. After the Milletian explains, he says that attacking and killing a Belvast guard is punishable by death. The Milletian, scared, attempts to apologize, only to realize that Admiral Owen was joking. He explains Shylock was responsible for not having charges pressed against the Milletain, Portia, Bassanio, and Antonio. He asks about Shylock's whereabouts shortly after, but becomes depressed on hearing what happened. He then talks about Shylock's past and is interrupted by Shayla. Owen orders Shayla to gather potions to refresh the Milletian for listening to Shylock's past and love life. He then tells the Milletian to meet a "certain someone" in the Graveyard at Belvast.
Conflicting Love
Admiral Owen, disguised as the Suspicious Man, meets the Milletian in Belvast's Graveyard. He then leads them to Scathach Scout Camp, where the Royal Alchemists who have been assigned to the camp are attacking the patrolmen; the man advises to ignore them. The Milletian follows him to the gate until they are stopped by Odran, who demands them to explain what they are doing going outside the boundaries of the gate. He looks at the Milletian, then looks at Owen. He demands him to reveal his face, and realizes who it was under the garb. Odran pulls back and explains the dangers beyond the gate. He looks at the Milletian and cares not for their safety. Arriving at the base of the hill past the gate, Owen reveals himself to the Milletian; he explains that there are times that one has to hide their looks in order to get around, then explains the reason for being so secretive.
Admiral Owen loves a woman who is cursed and forced to live in hiding. He then looks at the Milletian and asks if they know why Owen became the admiral he is today. His reasoning is because he was not just a great strategist, soldier, or anything of the sort: he was admiral because he was the one responsible for driving the pirates out of Belvast, but has taken many lives under the guise of military glory, a horrific experience for both him and his men. Having no regrets, he accepts that he did the right thing, but explains that shedding the blood of hundreds, including Scathach, he became the man he is today. Feeling that he wasted time, he takes the Milletian to the Scathach Caverns, to meet Scathach once more.
Reunion with Scathach
Upon arrival of the deepest part of the Caverns, Owen gives Scathach a hug. Their embrace was interrupted by Odran, who tells Scathach to get her hands off Owen. Odran pull his sword and points it and her, but Owen tells him to sheath it. Odran worries that Owen may have been cursed by Scathach, stating that she should have burned with every single thing that was on at the boat that lies before them. Owen then threatens Odran to back off, stating that insulting Scathach once more may result in a consequence. Odran continue to worry about Owen and tells Scathach to back away from Owen or dire consequences will follow. Owen turns to Scathach and apologizes. Scathach accepts the apology and states that there are other matters to tend to.
Odran leaves and Scathach talks to Owen, worrying about Owen's health. Owen remarks that he is fine and says nothing shall hold him back from seeing her, regardless of how brief the meeting is. Owen then talks about how Scathach's condition is responsible for Owen's suffering. Owen thinks of her often and how a single thought of Scathach being alone inf the caverns puts him in misery. He then attempt to persuade Scathach into join his place in Belvast, ensuring that the witch does not bother her, and if necessary, he would go through great lengths to keep the witch contained, to go as far as building a large wall of the strongest materials in Erinn. He would even stay with Scathach if necessary, but she declines and will not let Owen have his way, fearing of what the witch may do to Owen. Scathach even goes as far as to say what if the witch uses her voice against him; Owen bluntly answers that he would gag her, but Scathach then puts Owen a position where what if the witch cries as Scathach; Owen says he would turn his back on the witch, but would be hurt to do such a thing. If it would free Scathach from the darkness, he will do what it takes and accept any pain and burden that comes his way. Scathach calls him a fool and warns that the sun is rising. After noticing the Milletian, she asks Owen to leave as she wishes to speak to the Milletian. Owen asks what is she going to tell them, but replies that it can only be told to a Milletian. Trusting Scathach, Owen leaves. Scathach assumes her witch form and tells them to inform Owen to prepare for war.
Brotherly Conflict
As the Milletian returns, they find Admiral Owen and Odran arguing with each other. Owens says what he does is none of Odran's business. Odran questions him then says that Owen expects that Odran should do the dirty work while he can sit back and think. Odran remarks that he is sick of cleaning after Owen's messes then questions him once more about the people that were turned into monsters because of Owen's relationship with Scathach, stating that Belvast will know sooner or later. Owen rebuttals Odran's statement. Odran then questions about his relationship with the Nobles of Tara. Odran talks about how the Royal Alchemists that are settled in Belvast. He puts Owen in situation on what if the Royal Alchemists report Owen's relationship with Scathach and would Ethur Mac Cuill's faith help overlook the relationship. Odran then insults Owen, stating that the world around him could collapse and all that matters to him is Scathach. Owen understands that Odran worries for his brother and asks him to leave before things get out of hand. Odran requests that he would have authority over the Royal Alchemists and burn the Scathach Caverns in an instant. Owens then tells Odran to leave at once and return to his camp, where they will continue the conversation later. Odran see the Milletian, stating that the witch was not enough and is now consorting with them. Ordan leaves, disgruntled at his own brother.
Owen looks at the Milletian and apologizes for what they had witnessed. He was worried that the Milletian was going to be turned into a Sahagin and is relieved to see them fine. Owen asks about what Scathach told the Milletian and they explain thoroughly what has happened. The Milletian says that Owen needs to prepare for war and an unspeakable tragedy will happen.
