Description

Use Hillwen Engineering to make and deliver as many items as you can within the time limit. The items to be delivered are specified, and the faster you go, the higher your score. As the test rank increases, so too does the score needed to pass the test.

Equipment

• Advancement Outfit
• Engineering Hammer
• Spanner (replaces Bare Hands after first objective)

Points

• 2000 Points: Complete the first objective
• 2500 Points: Complete the second objective
• 3000 Points: Complete the third objective
• Bonus points are rewarded based on the time remaining.
  • The remaining time in seconds is rounded up to the nearest tens place and multiplied by 15.
    • (Ceiling(RemainingTime,10)*15) Points
  • For 12000 Points, a time greater than 4:50 is required.
  • For 9000 Points, a time greater than 1:30 is required.
  • For 6000 Points, any time is acceptable as long as all three objectives are completed.

General Tips

• Your Song, Harvest Song, and March Song ranks will carry over into the test.
  • To use Harvest Song in order to not fail crafting or March Song to move faster, Song must be Rank 5 or higher as lower ranks require a microphone to sing, which is not provided.
    • Time lost singing can outweigh the success rate Harvest Song provides, so consider whether singing is worthwhile, especially at higher difficulties.
• Players start with 300,000 Gold and 9 Medium-Sized Beginner Bags (5x5 space).
  • At the start of each objective, all items are removed and Gold is reset.
  • Do not try to rearrange your inventory, even before starting the Advancement Test, since the placement of your bag windows will be reset on each objective.
• A single Engineering Rack is present in the center of the room.

• • Any item that the player cannot buy, they must make.
  • To save time when buying items, use Ctrl-click to have them automatically placed in your inventory, rather than click, which requires you to drag them to your inventory.
  • It is recommended to purchase an extra amount of raw materials, in case of a failure.
    • Players cannot make items in advance since the inventory is reset at the start of each objective.
• The test will last 10 minutes, and the player will be asked to complete three objectives.
  • The player can learn what their objective is from the Guide standing next to the Engineering Rack.
  • The first objective is a simple craft material in a large quantity.
  • The second objective is to craft 6 Apostle Weapons.
  • The third objective is to craft 2 weapons from dragon hearts.
  • Players can uncheck the 'Queue Items' option at the bottom right of the crafting window. This will make it so that multiple copies of some items can be made at once.
    • In example, Hexagonal Bolts can be bulk-crafted 10 at a time.
  • Players can use the 'Crafting Search Bar' to find the desired item faster.
  • Players can use the 'Add Materials' button to add all required materials after selecting the desired item.
    • Placing a more unique or rare material in the crafting window can also filter out many items, helping you find and craft quicker.
  • It is recommended to memorize or have the Hillwen Engineering List prepared to make crafting easier.
