Advancement Test Hall/Firebolt
Description
Use Firebolt to defeat as many monsters as you can within the time limit. Dealing more damage will result in a higher score. As the test rank increases, stronger monsters will appear and you will need a higher score to pass the test. |

General Tips
- Snap Cast's cooldown is reset upon defeating a monster.
- A strategy to amass points would be to make use of Snap Cast every time its cooldown is reset.
- However, that may also draw extra monster aggro onto you.
- A strategy to amass points would be to make use of Snap Cast every time its cooldown is reset.
- If Snap Cast is unavailable, single casts of Lightning Bolt are a better use of time rather than charging it for the maximum charge extra damage.
- Fully charge your bolt spell right after defeating the elemental crystal, as there will be a short delay before the monsters spawn in.
- Your Magic and Close Combat ranks will carry over into the test, so having higher ranks would be useful.
- Having Rank 1 Spellwalk active may help improve your score, as you can charge spells while running.
- The crystals have 1 HP and will go down with any type of hit.
- Magic cooldowns are reset upon defeating a crystal, including the crystal golems.
- In order to maximize points gained, you may spawn ice monsters on waves 1 and 2.
- However, some players suggest choosing fire for wave 3, since the Fireball attack of the Giant Fire Sprite is easier to avoid, where choosing ice will give a Giant Ice Sprite which can lock you with consecutive Ice Spear attacks. The downside of this approach is that the Giant Fire Sprite has a very high elemental defense against Firebolt. If you are trying this approach, it may be more efficient to use Smash and/or Windmill to take out the Giant Fire Sprite quickly.
- Wave 3 will always consist of either a Fire or Ice Crystal.
- Players should prioritize destroying the Fire Crystal on Wave 3 because of the Giant Elemental Sprite. It is easier to dodge the fireballs than be permanently ice speared.
- For wave 4+, Firebolt's ability to knock down the golem boss will allow you to easily accumulate points.
- Have Counterattack ready to use for when it rushes towards you.
- You may need to use Defense if Counterattack is still on cooldown.
