Sweetiepie Wings

Can you re-upload the butterfly wings without resizing the images? Thanks in advance

They're only cropped though.. As I'm trying to resize them in Microsoft Office Picture Manager to keep them as pure .png files it's not working well. I believe that if I crop and resize the images all the same it will stretch the side and angled views in an awkward position and make it look stretched...

JisaNeko (talk)20:34, 5 April 2014

It's stretched out as I viewed it. It might be better to just use the Snipping Tool. You select what you want and save it as it appears.

Unfortunately my Windows does not support the program that uses the Snipping Tool.

JisaNeko (talk)00:31, 6 April 2014

Maybe use a different program .3.?

Nise Panda (talk)00:35, 6 April 2014

Well I zoomed out but not too much, retook the png photos, cropped them, and resized them (looks like it did not stretch or terribly alter the image itself). I'm uploading a Front and Side to replace the previous please let me know ASAP if they look alright.

Edit: Front and Side uploaded, any better? *They look a bit better, less big than before--stretched. Uploading the other two then calling it a night.

For future screen shots, please read these guidelines. http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Wiki_Tips_for_New_Editors#How_to_Get_100.25_Quality_Perfect_Pictures_in_Accordance_with_Wiki_Policy

We also do not accept equipment with white and or black in them(unless the parts are undyeable, or the color is a special from a gacha or a event). It would be preferred to use indoor lighting. Do not wear hand slot equipment while taking screen shots of clothing and such. While taking screen shots of weapons, only that weapon must be in your hands, bows shouldn't have arrows, swords shouldn't be dual wielded, etc. etc.

Nise Panda (talk)06:27, 16 January 2014

Thank you for telling me that. Since then my bow has become white/brown/blue. But the clothing I have is that of a simple green frog robe. Plus, they're .png files. I've tried to follow the guidelines as best as possible. If this next upload doesn't suffice, then I'm at a loss. I hope this next upload is better for your records.

Sadly the images are just pngs, converted to jpgs. The Mabinogi ScreenShot option in the game always takes screenshots in jpg, thus ruining the quality of the image.

And they're slightly angled, this http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Crystal_Bow is a good example of how all bows shots should be taken.

.3. This must be troubling and confusing to you...

Nise Panda (talk)22:01, 16 January 2014

Thank you :) I just did exactly that. Thanks for the example.

JisaNeko (talk)22:05, 16 January 2014

Your Figure Skating wig pictures are converted jpgs .3.

Nise Panda (talk)23:58, 1 March 2014

I did that with the other pictures I uploaded for a bow...

JisaNeko (talk)00:00, 2 March 2014

Yes, which was replaced with a non-converted png.

Nise Panda (talk)00:03, 2 March 2014

Unfortunately, now I see that. My Mabinogi picture files save as jpgs. I was sure that saving them as pngs after editing them in paint would surely be fine... Since it makes them pngs...

JisaNeko (talk)00:09, 2 March 2014

Mabinogi Screenshot options always takes files in jpg, always, and it will ruin the quality.

Please read the guide line: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Wiki_Tips_for_New_Editors#How_to_Get_100.25_Quality_Perfect_Pictures_in_Accordance_with_Wiki_Policy

Optimizing Pictures to Wiki Standard For a detailed guide on how to take screenshots, including a set of rules.

Just some basic rules.

Had to update...

JisaNeko (talk)00:20, 2 March 2014

A jpg file loses quality, no matter what. If it was taken in jpg, edited in jpg, etc. it loses quality.

Nise Panda (talk)00:21, 2 March 2014

Okay so taking a screenshot with my computer, not mabinogi then editing it in paint won't help will it?

JisaNeko (talk)00:29, 2 March 2014

As long as the alternative screenshot option takes it in png, it should work. Or you know, you could use guide line.

Nise Panda (talk)00:31, 2 March 2014

May I try re-uploading? Or do I have a warning not to?

JisaNeko (talk)00:35, 2 March 2014

If you think it's better sure, go ahead?

Nise Panda (talk)00:37, 2 March 2014

Better?

JisaNeko (talk)00:54, 2 March 2014

Please don't resize it. You can freeze up the camera angle by using the screenshot function, and then walking up into the camera for a better zoom.

Yup (.3.)b good job.

Nise Panda (talk)00:55, 2 March 2014

@ミカヤ・ザ・ディセプティコン I cropped the images, no resizing but noted.

@Nise Panda thank you, I shall do this exactly in the future!
