Shadow Bunshin
Skip directly to 0:54, are you sure they aren't the same?
Unless TW and JP are getting their Bunshin skill removed along with this patch, they are not the same.
OR they get everything else but not the new Shadow Bunshin and keep the old one OR the old one gets a changed obtained method?
Are you sure, Tellos? It even comes with different AP values, according to User:Tsukuyomai#Bunshin.
They may act identically, but that does not necessarily mean they rewrote the entire bunshin code and replaced the old one (which would mean the removal of the old one in JP/TW).
I heard it was getting reworked to accommodate some...weird glitches. I dunno if it's JP player talk or what, but yeah...rumors are rumors though, so don't take my word for it.
Another thing, the berserk skill wouldn't be at all related to the old one right?
neh...maybe accommodate weird glitches isn't the right choice of words...it more like odd damage values. Recently a small group of people broke the skill in a way that well...killed everything. I'm going to assume it's gears/enchants/[other stuff here]. As of late it's been a bit weird for me. There was an instant where my stamina just literally dropped to negative 80. Not sure if it's lag or what, or whether I'm just beginning to grow old and I'm going blind. I'm not quite sure why there's another bunshin but maybe the whole exclusive thing became redundant and boring to some people and KR decided to have some fun and such. and now off to the good gossipy rumor stuff...
According to my JP Family (bonuses are hella awesome btw since we're on like...every freaking day), There's been a lot of bad talk over it (at least among them and their friends) and something about talents buffing the skills in such stupid str bonuses and not to mention the amount of stacking that can be done. Not sure what's the hubbub about but it is the same skill (at least to them...I've yet to try the KR ones) and it feels the same. Since there might be inconsistencies that may arise, I think they might rewrite it all together, or keep it the same. As far as the technical stuff, values, etc., I do not know. All I know is, it's gonna be the same skill, different values and hey, change can be good...I think. They could be, however, hating on the fact that it is no longer exclusive to them and TW and are just being angry...again rumors are rumors and gossip is gossip.
after looking through KR data (not test, since test doesnt even have this sh*t), it seems they completely override the old Bunshin skill with the new one.
But berserk is a entirely new skill, called "Berserk Rage" internally, but who knows what the official name will be when it comes out in NA. I guess we could just go with Berserk Rage for now (although that's "if" if comes out in NA -- see "Future Content").
How should we proceed to archiving the older Shadow Bunshin?
I say make a separate page for the newer one for now and move it into its place (with the proper name) when, and if, it comes out in NA.
The question would then be, where?
Its functionally equivalent according to my sources. Unfortunately I no longer have access to my KR Test account, so I can neither conform nor deny different AP costs, training, or other things like that.
I know Berserker is the alpha version of Berserk. Berserk functions as follows: Int decreased by ???, Def decreased by ???, prot decreased by ???, Str increased by ???(160 at r1). The user is immune to stun, knockback, poison, freeze, petrify for the duration. Its a status effect, so other skills may still be used as far as I know.
These talent skills aren't even in KR test. :l
Surprisingly, they implemented it straight into KR without testing it. Inb4 KR-only skills.
I do know the JP version of Bunshin was clunky and hard to use. When it was released it had a nasty bug where if you canceled the skill right when the clones were summoned, it wouldn't cost any soul so you could cast it into itself forever. Thats how it got an "overpowered" stigma on foreign servers. We've followed KR, and I don't think NA or KR has made any press releasing expressing a desire to massively differentiate the NA and KR versions, so I think the hybrid skills will come to NA.
