Uncollected Stones?

So, I forgot to collect the homestead stones on some of my alts yesterday, and today the homestead gained double the bonus in chicks from ornaments. This resulted in 80 chicks on one alt, and 76 chicks on an alt that had 5 of the 3x3 ornaments and 4 of the 1x1 ornaments. (5x6=30, 4x2=8, 30+8=38, 38*2=76, which is what it gave me.) Is anyone else willing to test to see if other chick bonuses might be doubled in this case?

This happened to me on several occasions, I don't think its not getting the stones that does it but simply not entering your homestead for the whole day. I other words you get the bonus chicks regardless of whether you checked your homestead or not.
