Usage

Important: This style template should be used when the Recipe parameter has a value similar in format to (note that, a recipe may use more or less unique ingredients);

at least ? item1s, ? item2s and ? item3s

This style template works in conjunction with the header style template Template:StyleUsedInProductionSkillHeader and Template:Footer.

The following parameters are all that are needed from a data template to make this style template work. If no data template exists then either create a data template or if you aren't confident in creating one then manually enter these parameters and associated values onto an item's page (see the Without Data Templates example below).

  • Name - The name of the product that is created by the production skill. Don't make the product's name into a link, this style template will do that.
  • Page - Prefixes the Name with this value and a vertical bar. (Used for?)
  • ProductStack - Sometimes a production skill will produce more than 1 unit of a stackable item in a single attempt. For example, using handicraft to produce Handmade Ballista Bolts will create a stack of 30 ballista bolts per successful attempt. ProductStack is the number of items produced per attempt where the number of items produced is greater than 1. This parameter need not be given, left blank or given the value of 1, if only 1 unit is produced per attempt. An error message is generated if the value given is zero or negative. If anything but a number is given then a software error message will be generated (i.e., if a letter or symbol is given instead of a number). An integer or real number can be used but a real number will be rounded off to the nearest integer.
  • Recipe - The minimum number of each material required to actually produce the completed product within the least number of attempts and not the number of materials required for a single attempt (note that, some products can be completed in a single attempt and in this case, the two are the same). The recipe should begin with the term "at least", the number of each material required should precede the material's name and the material names should be made into links, for example, "at least 6 Large Nails, 6 Tough Threads and 2 Wood Boards". If this style template is used on the page of a material used in the recipe, then it will not display as a link but will show up as bold text which is the desired effect. If a data template already has a Recipe parameter which is being used by another style template but its value isn't of the above format then use Recipe2
  • ItemRank - The item's rank.
  • RequiredRank - The minimum required skill rank needed to start producing an item and not the rank of a manual or the rank of a finished product. This should be a single digit or a single capital letter. Use the Rank parameter (not this parameter) if manually entering the parameter value on a page, that is, when a data template does not exist.
  • Rank - If the RequiredRank and Rank parameters are the same value then the RequiredRank parameter need not be entered in a data template and the Rank parameter's value can be used instead. This should be a single digit or a single capital letter. Use this parameter (not the RequiredRank parameter) if manually entering the parameter value on a page, that is, when a data template does not exist.

Important: The column headings created by Template:StyleUsedInProductionSkillHeader include reference tags, so the following sub-section should be included under the last table to use this style template;

Notes

If this style template is used in both the "Methods to Obtain" and "Used In" sections then just add it to the bottom of the "Used In" section. This is done because if it is added to both sections it will only repeat the same information and the "Used In" section is always below the "Methods to Obtain" section (if both sections exist on the same page). If this template is used in only one of these sections then add it to the bottom of the section it is used in. Go to the bottom of this page to see the notes produced by these reference tags.

General Info

This template creates the rows for the body of a table on an item page's "Methods to Obtain" and/or "Used In" sections, where the table lists products and the recipe used to create them. Seperate tables should be created for each skill that may be used and each of these tables should be in a section using its associated skill as the section's header. The table only lists information pertinent to the creation of an item and not any other information such as stats, as these should already be listed on the created item's page and in many cases the production of an item can result in versions with differing stats.

This template includes column widths rather than relying on those provided in the header style template Template:StyleUsedInProductionSkillHeader because some browsers will not always display a table with the correct column widths unless they are included on every row (instead of just the table's header row). This problem usually occurs when there is more than one table on a page, resulting in tables with differing widths when in fact they should be the same. At present, Opera and Internet Explorer seem to produce this problem while Firefox doesn't (what occurs in Chrome and Safari is unknown).
