From Mabinogi World Wiki

One hypothesis is to attempt to lure the Wendigo and have it use stomp near the mirrors ~this is unconfirmed

If you're talking about destroying the mirrors then all you have to do is use the Ice Flute from the treasure chests earlier in the same dungeon. If you play it successfully then the mirrors become vulnerable and can be destroyed. Of course this will also result in a power-up for the Ice Witch.--Jacobpaige 17:26, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, I know, just pulling that off the page. Wasn't sure if it would be wanted there or not, so I moved it here for safekeeping.
Having tested this for lack of an ice flute, I can confirm that this is false.--Mystickskye 02:50, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Credit for this discovery of mirror breaking techniques goes to kidousen, Mate, Azurai ~all of Tarlach

First confirmed kill of a Mirror witch goes to Jaller, markkus, Stoya, Aznjim18 ~all of Mari

Is this reference really necessary? -- Rogue

Nothing wrong with the first one, the second is totally unnecessary and most likely wrong though.--Jacobpaige 22:40, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
First one's kinda unnecessary as well.
"Credit" is to be deleted. http://mabinogiworld.com/forums/index.php?topic=3919.msg24683#msg24683 To quote: "Delete "credit goes to" unless it's another site you took the content from."

On that note, the Mirror Witch section needs to be cleaned up >_< The sentences are fragmented, the "information" box contains advice and there's redundancy present due to people restating what was said earlier without removing the old information. I've tried cleaning it up a bit but I'd like other users' input on this as well. There's also the issue of the "credit" thing.

Advice?

"use range to kill her if you have no ice flute"? We killed her just fine through normal means. Given that the Mirror Witch has no real way to deflect skill-based attacks, juggling her will suffice o_o

Spiderwitch

Shouldn't the Spiderwitch be under Dungeon Boss, considering she's the boss of Alby Advanced for One? --Aramet 01:06, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Yea it should, ill change it ~ Hikarixz

Thanks. :) --Aramet 02:28, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Wow, she's ugly. And only thunder/lightning attacks? o-o ─┤Hakumei} 01:30, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Not sure if it was only for the recent G17 Arachnes or not, but it seems to have a new skill that's similar to Puppet's Snare. I didn't know what to look for at first, so this is just a basic description where I probably missed something, but here goes:

  • Arachne sends strings out to the player, immobolizes for some time (~5 sec?)
  • Appears to be no damage over time, just the initial "hit" damage
  • After the first effect, it lets up for an instant and then causes "hit" damange+immobolization again, but this time without the Arachne-sends-strings-at-player animation. This repeats one more time.
  • For the second and third immobolization effect, Arachne's free to use other skills - Lightningbolt and Summon Monster were the ones I saw

Also, though this might just be the Shadow Mission difficulty, she summoned Burgundy Spiders on me, not Black Poisonous Spiders, though their HP seemed Hardmode-tier. Arachne's HP roughly added up to around its Hardmode level, too.

Mirror Witch Quotes

Those look weird, 'specially where they are. Also, none of the other monsters on this page (or others I've come across) have a quotebox.

Maybe it should be relocated to inside of her information box, or removed? --Simpet 12:49, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Simpet04:49, 10 January 2012

I don't think the quotes are important enough to be put on monster pages. The main point of these pages is to provide information for fighting the monster, not to show off flavor text.

Angevon (Talk)08:52, 10 January 2012

They are still part of the game though. Some people do actually pay attention to cutscenes and are curious of the context said by the characters.

I'd say it belongs, but as a minor addition.

Infodude57516:38, 10 January 2012

I'd just leave the first quote...wait didn't the Mirror witch had her own page at some point, or was I thinking about the thing that comes with the witch? o.o;; *memory failure*

Mikaya16:59, 10 January 2012

She did, but that was a really long time ago...

Infodude57517:07, 10 January 2012

x.x yeah...history says 2 years ago.

Mikaya17:10, 10 January 2012

In any case, I'd say keep the quotes. They are technically a part of her after all.

Infodude57517:19, 10 January 2012

I'd say include the quotes too...except, just not in the Quotes Template. Maybe in either the notes box or in noinclude brackets in the template. On the monster pages, it's just more important to show the battle statss, and not distract like it's doing now.

Akira17:29, 10 January 2012

That Quote template is obnoxiously big.

I think the quotes would fit better if the Ice Witch were put onto her own page.

Angevon (Talk)17:36, 10 January 2012

Either...

  • A: Reduce the size of Quote Template
  • B: Shove it somewhere inside the Monster Template
Infodude57518:23, 10 January 2012

A, because the monster template is already bloated.

Angevon (Talk)18:25, 10 January 2012

I agree with Angevon, either reduce the size or just put her into her own page. If the quotes were added to the monster template, then it'd make it look more bloated, and add more unfilled information across the pages. Most monsters don't really have quotes, anyway.

Simpet12:20, 11 January 2012

...So we can't just put it in noinclude brackets inside the template...?

C'mon, I kinda like the idea. All miscellaneous information would only be in the template page, so it's accessible to people interested but won't distract people looking at battle information in the moster page. There could even be a "Trivia" link beside the "Edit" one to make accessibility easier...

Slightly off-topic, but how come the skills aren't lined up horizonally in the monster templates right now?

Akira12:42, 11 January 2012

Personally, I liked it when the mirror witch had her own page, only because she doesn't act like the other witches on this page x.x (personal opinion, not to be taken seriously unless that is your intention)

Mikaya15:48, 11 January 2012

Having trivia would be kind of cool, as long as it didn't get too extreme. Personally, I like reading quotes/trivia, but I think the monster database is supposed to be aimed at monster battle information and tactics.

Maybe the Mirror Witch should have her own page, then?

Simpet18:07, 11 January 2012

Mirror Witch is pretty special. Well different. Like incuby, it has her own quotes, special drop o3o and etc.
