Are we sure this is a thing? I've tested it by gaining the skill on some alts, and I never got any Int. What's more, my stats calculator indicates that I do have one more int than that it says I should. I dunno what gives.
Your wording is a bit confusing. What do you mean when you say you have one more int than you should?
it may have been rounded from a decimal, but I'm pretty sure everything rounds down, not up.
@Lazy Bunny: My calculator takes into account remainders and decimals. For whole numbers, Mabi does round down, but when calculating CP, it uses the stat remainders.
@Blargel: To clarify, in-game, my Int is 903.25. My calculator says it's 902.25, because I removed the 1 Int from Novice rank Wine Making. Now it's one short. I removed the Int because I went and acquired the skill on all 9 of my alts, and none of them received the Int for ranking it from "Doesn't Have" to Rank Novice.
What happened to the table that showed what age was necessary for the combined total amount of acidity, purity and freshness?
http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Pencast#Wine_Making_Rewards
It's not very perfect either I'd say.
- Does acidity, purity, and freshness ever increase?
- Can wine aging decrease?
- "Wine of the Year" = Best wine in the server?
So wait, making ANY wine gets you 60 exp, regardless of skill rank?
That can't be right...
It's right. This is one of the easiest skills to rank.
I gotta say, that's really weird. I mean, most ranks give absolutely no reason to age wine!
But if it's correct, that's all there is to it...
This skill doesn't even effect making wine. Just smile, nod, and don't drink everything you make or you'll be out cold. . .
Just for clarification, will it change tomorrow?
how do i age my wine? like i know it is based on real life time and all that stuff but does changing out the barrel slow down the aging process or does it keep the same?
you can read this guide from Mabidata for an express route. All you need for the fasted method is 20 hours (at rF) and 83k gold or 105 hours (20 at F, 30 at E, and 55 at A) and 37k gold.
Ya, with double rainbow you only need 47k for the fastest route, saves you 36k. (And sorry, 12 hours, not 20 hours. I keep assuming 1 age is 1 hour. It's really 1 ingame day which is 36 minutes.)
But this only applies to double rainbow. Merchant destiny will not effect it, as stated on the page.
1 Age = 36 minutes? 100 Age = 3600 minutes = 60 hours = 5 days?
Uh, the Process page says otherwise, because a week is 7 days, not 5...
i don't know how to age my wine as well. i make my wine at dunby then come back 2 days later and i don't get the training for aging my wine. so how am i suppose to age it i somehow did it before and i don't remember how to do it. can anyone help me?
I ranked it frm F to 1 + master and didn't get a single title. :l
Can anyone confirm whether the titles gained throughout ranking the skill adds towards the Journal Achievements involving the skill Master Titles? Or is it just the Master Sommelier that adds to the Journal?
Long story short in the haste of ranking this skill I kinda neglected to write down what ranks you obtain each title would someone mind figuring out the ranks for me...
# | Name | Hint Description | Hint Requirement | Title Description | Requirement(s) | Effects |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
* | the Wine Lover | (unknown) | (unknown) | (unknown) | Acquire rank ? in Wine Making. | Intelligence +10 Dexterity -5 Defense -3 Protection +1 |
* | the Sommelier | (unknown) | (unknown) | (unknown) | Acquire rank ? in Wine Making. | Intelligence +15 Dexterity -7 Defense -4 Protection +2 |
* | the Senior Sommelier | (unknown) | (unknown) | (unknown) | Acquire rank ? in Wine Making. | Intelligence +17 Dexterity -9 Defense -6 Protection +3 |
* | the Sommelier Sage | (unknown) | (unknown) | (unknown) | Acquire rank ? in Wine Making. | Intelligence +19 Dexterity -11 Defense -9 Protection +4 |
I actually got "the Wine Lover" title either from ranking to E, or from finishing the aging on my age 20+ wine for rank F. I wasn't really paying attention either. :x
Yeah I loosely remember getting the the Wine Lover title fairly early on in the ranking process likely rE.
so basically we get a grand total of 5 titles during the ranking process
the Wine Lover rE
the Sommelier rA
the Senior Sommelier r6
the Sommelier Sage r3
the Master Sommelier Master title
I still gotta wonder if their are benefits from ranking this skill other then stats and titles.
Evidently, its primary purpose is as a filler for Talent exp?
Also, this skill becomes much harder to train at some point in the future (probably when Talents are released).
Looking at how the training requirements are going to change in the future I'm kinda glad I ranked it early, might have taken me 500 times longer to train if I waited...
Check the Source published by TwiliTerror for the updated skill requirements
As It stands now it only takes a mere 2 wine even at rank 2 and they can be aged a whole 1 second and still counts towards training
when its changed you either got to make a wine of high age or make a ridiculous large amount of junk 0 aged wines...
Anybody happen to know when exactly these requirements are implemented? Is it with the Talent system? Or was this just some "bugged" version of the skill that Nexon's going to fix ASAP, presumably with the next maintenance?
I'd say the current requirements are very much temporary, so they might be fixed by next maint or when the talent system comes out.
Just curious, did the current requirements exist in foreign servers?
we can do this like tailoring, cooking, blacksmithing, and other crap
This will be the skill page
the other one will be Winemaking (Minigame) or w/e the crap you want.
Seconded. I'd also suggest that Winemaking/Wine Making redirects to this page and not the (Minigame).
Edit: I'd also think we should remove the (Skill) at the beginning of the name, as we do not do that to any of the other skill pages.
Then again, it shouldnt be named "minigame" since we have a page dedicated to minigames. what is it more considered as?
