"Use the skill to decrease an enemy's defense." ... 1k times.

ONE THOUSAND TIMES?! Someone please tell me that's wrong...

Invulnerability Frames

Frequently found people unaware of this on forums, "inb4" someone might ask here.

YES, IT EXISTS during the deployment animation. I've completely dodged a Macha fireball with it.

Infodude575 (talk)20:39, 5 August 2014

I need you to throw a baseball through a car driving by at 60 mph.

Shroom Fonzerelli (talk)03:53, 6 August 2014

I see what you did there...haha...took me a while to get it.

Lolwhat?

Infodude575 (talk)09:58, 6 August 2014

I was referencing the assumed difficulty in accurately using smokescreen to dodge a fireball

Shroom Fonzerelli (talk)10:37, 6 August 2014

The invinciblity frames seem a lot more substantial than people give them credit for. Dodging fireballs and Sephirot jump attacks among other things with it is pretty forgiving.

But if we're just trying to put more credit to the "I-frames exist." Then yeah, they're super real.

"Cooldown"

These aren't cooldown times, and they're backward to boot.

Rank 6 Smokescreen's debuff lasts for precisely 30 seconds, and the skill cooldown is 13 seconds. If you take the current "cooldown" numbers and reverse their order, the 30-second value falls directly at Rank 6, which is what I would expect for the debuff duration.

MegaMan Trigger (talk)18:06, 27 July 2014

While the times are wrong, yes. The debuff lasts for 30 seconds even at rank C, and the cooldown at C seems to be 16 or 17. I have no idea what the duration listed in the table is talking about.

Meru (talk)18:19, 27 July 2014

Ah, good to know. I only bothered to check this page at Rank 6, so that was the only rank I had any comparable data for.

MegaMan Trigger (talk)18:50, 27 July 2014

The cooldown times are wrong because these are the values before JP lowered them (NA immediately got the cooldown lowering patch), and no one's bothering to update them.

The duration is referring to how long the smokescreen itself lasts, not the debuff.

Infodude575 (talk)18:23, 27 July 2014

The duration of the smokescreen itself is meaningless. There's a brief period of invulnerability when deploying Smokescreen, nothing more. The smoke effect itself does nothing.

MegaMan Trigger (talk)18:49, 27 July 2014

Don't mobs get debuffed when they walk into it or something? But other than that, after noticing the debuff lingers after the smoke goes away, yes I agree it's pointless to mention.

Infodude575 (talk)18:57, 27 July 2014

Nope. Smokescreen only affects enemies when first deployed. The smoke effect is purely cosmetic.

MegaMan Trigger (talk)19:44, 27 July 2014

During the mabinogi world Q&A session, mention was made that they would try to get the updated skills since japan got complaints. This may be related to why most of the pages are incorrect in many parts.

Shroom Fonzerelli (talk)18:59, 27 July 2014

It can't be the smokescreen duration since I count it at rank C at ~3 seconds.

Meru (talk)19:09, 27 July 2014

Does the debuff itself have a duration? Or is it permanent until the mob dies?

Nevermind, answered this myself, however it does not seem to match the duration values in this chart (30s @ Novice)

iDSd22:29, 27 July 2014

The duration listed, as said before, is supposedly for how long the cloud lingers for.

Infodude575 (talk)23:48, 27 July 2014

supposedly?

Clearly it is not if both Meru and I have gotten results that indicate otherwise.

iDSd00:38, 28 July 2014

Don't forget that the stuff was pulled from JP Wiki and/or JP Testers before NA got Ninja.

Infodude575 (talk)11:06, 28 July 2014

The values are still 5. They have not changed.

iDSd14:34, 28 July 2014

... Okay?

Infodude575 (talk)15:15, 28 July 2014

JP Tester chart, before stuff got changed. Who knows, JP might have tweaked it or the testers mistook it for something else.

Infodude575 (talk)19:13, 27 July 2014

Seems like a strange thing to lower, but okay. How about we remove the charge time from all the summary charts too?

Meru (talk)19:19, 27 July 2014

my rank A smokescreen debuff is also exactly 30 seconds, I'm going to change the nonsense duration to all 30 seconds until someone finds otherwise
