"Cooldown"

Fragment of a discussion from Talk:Smokescreen

The cooldown times are wrong because these are the values before JP lowered them (NA immediately got the cooldown lowering patch), and no one's bothering to update them.

The duration is referring to how long the smokescreen itself lasts, not the debuff.

Infodude575 (talk)18:23, 27 July 2014

The duration of the smokescreen itself is meaningless. There's a brief period of invulnerability when deploying Smokescreen, nothing more. The smoke effect itself does nothing.

Don't mobs get debuffed when they walk into it or something? But other than that, after noticing the debuff lingers after the smoke goes away, yes I agree it's pointless to mention.

Infodude575 (talk)18:57, 27 July 2014

Nope. Smokescreen only affects enemies when first deployed. The smoke effect is purely cosmetic.

During the mabinogi world Q&A session, mention was made that they would try to get the updated skills since japan got complaints. This may be related to why most of the pages are incorrect in many parts.

It can't be the smokescreen duration since I count it at rank C at ~3 seconds.

Meru (talk)19:09, 27 July 2014

Does the debuff itself have a duration? Or is it permanent until the mob dies?

Nevermind, answered this myself, however it does not seem to match the duration values in this chart (30s @ Novice)

The duration listed, as said before, is supposedly for how long the cloud lingers for.

Infodude575 (talk)23:48, 27 July 2014

supposedly?

Clearly it is not if both Meru and I have gotten results that indicate otherwise.

Don't forget that the stuff was pulled from JP Wiki and/or JP Testers before NA got Ninja.

Infodude575 (talk)11:06, 28 July 2014

The values are still 5. They have not changed.

... Okay?

JP Tester chart, before stuff got changed. Who knows, JP might have tweaked it or the testers mistook it for something else.
