Talk:Ranged Weapons List
I have a question about load time. does a bows speed affect how long it takes 2 load? Also what do the numbers on the bow range mean, 1500,1700,etc.

Couldn't you just make this a disambiguation page? It'd be better than lumping all of that and confuse people with all this math...I'm not a fan of math ;;>->
Not to mention, wasn't he the one wondering why this was already like this and clearly implied they should not be together?
No Kevin, that was part of my argument.
my mind is full of fffffffffuu---
Strangely, I get this sensation that I've seen this happen before. I wasn't a user at the time I don't think, but I do remember accessing this wiki until making an account at the end of '09.
nevermind that was another wiki...that aside, Although all of these can be lumped into a type of damage, I feel the calculations are unncessary and should have been separated into their appropriate weapon types.
Very well, but I think there should be some mention of their affected stats since its not all the same.
I have noticed that the attack speed of a bow does not only effect the consecutive shots of arrow revolver, but also the delay between loading skills after firing the weapon. Is anyone else experiencing this phenomenon?
We should redefine ranged weapon hit count. Hit count is generally defined as the number of hits that a player can naturally land on an opponent before it is knocked back. Stun duration is inversely proportional to weapon speed and hit count. The ring bow, wing bow and arbalest are all two-hit weapons because they knock back on the second hit. All other ranged weapons are three-hit weapons because they knock back on the third hit. This also explains why the wing bow has stun comparable to the normal three-hit weapons.
On a similar note, is stun duration equal to all ranged weapons when using skills? It's obvious that weapon speed and hit count influence the stun duration of arrow revolver and elven ranged attack but this becomes less clear when using crash shot/magnum shot/etc. Thanks.
Ranged weapons all have their natural hitcount as "3" in the game code, however hit count refers to the maximum possible number of attacks a player may make on an enemy while attacking at the fastest possible speed for a weapon before the enemy is knocked back. As a result Wing Bows, Ring Bows, and the Highlander Bow all have a natural 2 hit in reality. Bows follow the same rule of hit count up stun down, speed down stun up. My testing is increasingly suggesting that they have the same rules as melee weapons (i.e a long bow would have the same stun as a longsword as both are slow 3 hit weapons and a ring bow would stun the same as a warsword.)
There are no ranged attacks with specific stun times except crash shot. Knockdown attacks all have fixed down times with the exception of windmill.
