Upgrades

"1 jewel upgrade." Well that's wrong.

Could someone check my translations, and get the ones I didn't? [1] Ket 08:28, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure Aiderun is a phonetic Translation of "Edern" not "Aohdhan" (Ey-dern versus Ay-dhun). Tellos 04:40, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

The "30,000G Store remodel Voucher(???)" Is the Marketplace Modification Coupon that you get from smell of whine So saying its 30k is incorrect because its 30k plus that coupon.Should it be added?--Runachan 08:21, 9 December 2010 (PST)

Dyeing

Can this bow be dyed at all? If it can be, what parts, and what types of dye? ~小太郎 TALKCONTRIBS 2011:02:28:10:58 (Monday)

Both the metal decorations and the base of the bow can be dyed. Both use metal dyes. Sogard 06:48, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

NeedDyeDetails category

Shouldn't it be removed? I can't find it on the edit page...

Zugon19:06, 21 December 2011

If the entire template isnt filled out (including '-'s), it will autocategorize as needdyedetails.

Another semi-related dye details problem. Palette B says - even though it's hilt. Even copy pasting another page's dye details, which normally works, overwrites part B and C with -s. That being said, there's something interfering with it in this page, not in the template itself.

Pyro - (Talk)13:45, 19 June 2013

I changed the Dye template a while ago. It no longer reads from PalA/B/C; it reads directly from the weapon's template. Since you say it's supposed to be hilt (which is #24), but the item says #202, we might want to check on that. The palettes might not be the same. But for now, I guess I'll list it as hilt.

To make one of these...

Takes Carpentry skill I can understand, but I think the "Merchant Destiny" is incorrect. Can someone confirm?

Kgptzac (talk)03:17, 29 January 2013

If you look at the crafting details, it says "Carpentry Talent Only". (I don't see this Merchant Destiny you speak of)

LittlesnowEU (talk)07:44, 29 January 2013

Ah, this was before the new talent system I guess where there was no carpentry, only merchant.

DANTE20XX (talk)17:06, 29 January 2013

Yeah the Carpentry Details template wasn't updated for the Talent system. Since only a couple of bows needed it wasn't caught until now.

2-hit knockdown

Seeing as it knocks down in two hits, i'm assuming it stuns for longer than an ordinary longbow? I may have to get my hands on one to try it out...

Pyroblade14:47, 11 January 2012

From my experience with it, it takes three hits to knock an opponent down... not two. Though, it does feel like it has a longer stun time...

(I'm really not a huge archer though so I may just be thinking that happens when it really doesn't...)

XMewxBerryx03:39, 9 May 2012

If range is spammed, then it takes 2 hits, otherwise it takes 3+. This applies to all bows (it can easily take 5 hits with a 3-hit bow).

Upgrade paths

Has anyone considered adding a path that replaces Sight Change under Upgrade 3 with Bowstring Winding 4? The drop in balance seems negligible for any decently leveled archer, its just the extra proficiency for more max attack.

--- Disregard this. Realized the 3-4 wasn't Upgrade 3 and 4, was actually 4 and 5. ---

The stats I put up are from a transferred ego since I moved my claymore to the HLB. I'm not sure if there are any other changes in stats prior to what I have (AKA: The lower levels). Gonna need to get on an alt and make a fresh Highlander ego to keep track of its growth... x.x;;;

Flavor Text on Upgrades

Fishcatch22 just added the flavor text "Easily the most powerful bow in the entire game, the Highlander Long Bow features very high maximum, critical and enhancements to its already respectable range." before the upgrade sequence. However, I'm unsure that it would qualify as objective or quantitative information. I am unsure as to whether or not it should be left there or deleted, so I decided to bring attention to it here.
