Mission Possible, Girgashiy Weekly or Hasidim Weekly?

Unless it's planned to make Orders their own page, instead of splitting them semi-awkwardly between Girg and Hasi's pages, I'm wondering what to do about the Weekly Order "Mission Possible". It's hard to fully complete the daily order nowadays, and I didn't think to take note of it, but does completing this Weekly Order give the 300 Crusader EXP a "Girgashiy Weekly Order" gives or is it the 450 a "Hasidim Weekly Order" gives? Until I know this, I'm just putting it on both Girg and Hasi's pages. If anyone knows, feel free to take it off the page of the one it doesn't "belong" to.

Smokescreen Tip

"Also noting Girgashiy's defensive stat being quite high, you may wish to use Rank 1 Smokescreen."

Jiuhin told me that all Girgashiy's defense stat is a flat zero; the only defensive stats it has are 125 Protection Stat, 70% Effective Protection, and 96% Apostle Damage Reduction. Therefore, wouldn't that make Smokescreen (and Tethra and Armor Pierce) completely useless in the raid?

Infodude575 (talk)12:09, 19 March 2015

Do monsters get defense from strength? I forget and can't find anything about it on the wiki.

Meru (talk)15:43, 19 March 2015

Oh yeah... I almost forgot. That would be nice to know.

Very Hard Difficulty

http://mabinogi.nexon.net/News/Announcements/1/00INj

  • Same party size, same time limit, same talent level requirement as Hard, and same info.
  • Mission Details: Reports are coming in of a new Girgashiy, one more powerful than any other before. It has shown remarkable intelligence and the ability to summon mutated beasts. Stranger still, it seems to vanish after vanquishing a certain number of opponents. According to research, none of the Girgashiy have been shown to have any trace of their humanity, but this one may be different.
  • There is a "death counter" at the top right of the screen. If ten people die in the raid, the mission will immediately auto-fail.
  • 500,000 EXP and 50,000 Gold reward.
  • Some weekly ranking system. Top three squads are given titles. No idea if they reset weekly too.
    • 1st place: the Girgashiy Slayer: 16 max damage, 14 strength, 10% critical, 80 health, 80 mana
    • 2nd place: the Girgashiy Eradicator: 14 max damage, 12 strength, 8% critical, 60 health, 60 mana
    • 3rd place: the Girgashiy Challenger: 13 max damage, 11 strength, 6% critical, 40 health, 40 mana
  • New Enchants: Dusk, Silence, Starlight, Dense, Absolute, Lava, Girgashiy. No idea if they drop directly from Girgashiy or from the raid itself.
Infodude575 (talk)10:37, 18 March 2015

From a little playthrough with the difficulty, it appears Mineral Hail's pushback ability has a much larger radius, estimating a x4 increase from Easy~Hard. There is also a new timer which counts minutes, seconds, Nano-seconds right on the point above the death counter.

Squad Matching

So I've had people arguing about why their squad matching requirement isn't fulfilled even though their friends make squads that have recruitment on and off. Is it actually true that a party only needs recruitment on for people to access it using squad search?

I've been creating squads using the search squad button instead of squad create and when people search, they join and it fulfills. I get nothing from them if I use squad create.

Change Matching System daily anyone? /again

Andrewngn13 (talk)20:08, 31 January 2015

I made a squad in Tir Chonaill and just used it to warp to the raid area, I was about to quit when someone just joined, I didn't have the recruitment up. So, apparently it DOESN'T need to be made from the emblem nor does recruitment need to be up.

All I can say it's really wonky... :/

Perhaps the Party Board and/or level restrictions have to do with the squad search system?

Infodude575 (talk)13:03, 2 February 2015

See Me Living - Death by PvP

Does it count if you get killed by another player, not by Girgashiy? I've been in several runs where people accidentally kill each other via Paladin vs Dark Knight PvP.

Infodude575 (talk)13:59, 26 January 2015

Apparently it does as confirmed by Kleiorose.

The Lazy but truthful~16:02, 26 January 2015

Has this been tested by accidentally spreading Contagion? That might invalidate it too.

Aikion (talk)08:55, 27 January 2015

Pretty sure Contagion invalidates it since it's an attack from Girgashiy.

Infodude575 (talk)11:39, 27 January 2015

Yes it does for that too

The Lazy but truthful~12:39, 27 January 2015

Holy Confinement, right? I get broken out of, from wearing off or someone breaking me out, but I'm not getting any credit for it? This is on Easy.

Infodude575 (talk)19:31, 22 December 2014

Confinement may refer to being grabbed and swung about, you know the green bar.

TLMike (talk)20:18, 22 December 2014

I read now that we both used the word "Confinement" when the mission objective says "Containment." I'm betting this mission refers to the grabby thing.

TLMike (talk)20:37, 22 December 2014

Isn't Cut the Rope for Fanaticism? Or is it actually the other way around?

EDIT: Apparently Cut the Rope counts for Confinement, not Fanaticism as what the page says. I've asked around for Containment and people say its Fanaticism.

Unfathomable Victory

Anyone able to test if Golems count towards it? Would be a way that people can still contribute to the battle and get it. I'll try and test it myself, but not sure when I'll get a good opportunity.

Tharm (talk)14:13, 18 December 2014

Not sure about that but you can use pets to help. In my case I just spammed party heal and buffs.

The Lazy but truthful~11:27, 19 December 2014

yea, but if golems work, it's easier to alchemists too, and not just restricted to bards and clerics.

Tharm (talk)17:27, 19 December 2014

Last edit: 02:13, 16 January 2015

Golems absolutely work. I've done this several times, using the Golem's AI, and the UI where you become the golem. You just have to be careful not to accidentally attack the Girgashy when you're inevitably knocked out of the control UI by Mineral Hail or whatever else.

TLMike (talk)02:12, 16 January 2015

(Had to edit, sorry.)

TLMike (talk)02:13, 16 January 2015

What about the player character hitting only Holy Confinement and Soul Absorption and not attacking/splashing Girgashiy?

Infodude575 (talk)20:54, 21 December 2014

Hitting crystals doesn't count as damage for the quest. I would think souls wouldn't either.

Meru (talk)21:21, 21 December 2014

Tested with both Colossus and Pierrot Marionettes, a single hit from them plus the remainder of the raid while on my Windmilling Bone Dragon gave me the clear.

Infodude575 (talk)17:33, 6 January 2015

You can also use Celestial Spike if it deals 1 damage per second to him; 1s aren't registered as an effective attack. Alternatively, use a partner with a rag doll equipped; their rag dolls and attacks don't count towards your damage. Be warned you may lag considerably from that.

Aikion (talk)08:47, 27 January 2015

Too Fast to Die and Battlefield Awareness (witness staff attack)

Okay, I feel like I've noticed something about these orders.

Multiple times I've done the Solo raid and I think I've found something out about these two orders. I've completed the Solo order, getting hit many times by the staff swing, and still gotten Too Fast to Die.

And other times, I've gotten hit multiple times and not had it count for "Battlefield Awareness: Witness the Girgashiy's staff attack."

I've found that it doesn't count as "witnessing" if the staff swing deals 1 damage.

Two days ago I'd gotten Too Fast to Die, and fought the girgashiy and got smacked by his staff multiple times, all for 1 damage since my defense was bolstered by heavy armor/buffs and the girgashiy was debuffed with sorrow sonata from fantastic chorus. Once I'd beaten him, I got credit for Too Fast to Die.

I tested this theory of 1dmg not counting for witnessing the staff attack again, earlier today, since I'd gotten the BA: Staff order. I didn't fulfill the order when his staff swing did 1 damage to me. (wearing armor/red fantastic chorus lowering his strength) And this was with multiple staff swings.

Finally, I used Berserk to lower my defenses to 0 and when he struck me with his staff swing, it did its normal damage and counted for the daily order.

If someone wouldn't mind verifying this themselves, just to make sure it's not just me, then I feel like this detail should be noted. It may make Too Fast to Die a lot less annoying for some people, if they know they can just boost their def/nerf girg's stength to fulfill the daily instead of wrangling with that staff swing's hitbox.

Iyasenu (talk)01:33, 14 January 2015

Hm, you also said Heal Your Wounds only applies to while in a Squad. Were you in a squad during your tests?

Infodude575 (talk)01:42, 14 January 2015

That's right, I did the same trick you can use to get Guarded Footsteps from Solo raid.

Make a squad and take any difficulty of raid. You can't manually cancel the mission so you have to enter the raid and leave to get rid of it. This will let you be in a Squad with no active mission, allowing you to enter Solo in a squad.

Anyways, using that trick to be in a squad in Solo, I was able to use First Aid on myself in solo to have it count for the Heal Your Wounds order. If you bandage yourself in Solo without being in a squad, it won't fulfill the Order, so this must mean it has two requirements for bandaging yourself to count towards the daily, those being:

A) You're fighting the Apostle in the mission, and

B) You're in a squad

Iyasenu (talk)04:43, 14 January 2015

Actually, you don't need to be in a squad. I've gotten it as a daily 5 times, and all 5 times I've done it without creating a squad. I either waited until I was wounded or until after gir was dead though, but either way, no squad.

Yinato (talk)06:45, 14 January 2015

Oh that's interesting.

Now I'm wondering what exactly it looks for, seeing how I got the daily done before being injured.

Iyasenu (talk)07:13, 14 January 2015

When I said either used while wounded or at the end, I mean that I'd use it once I was wounded, or at the very end (whether or not I had wounds)

Yinato (talk)08:10, 14 January 2015

I think you misunderstood. I meant if being in a squad had anything to do with To Fast To Die/Battlefield Awareness, as you said with Heal Your Wounds.

Infodude575 (talk)12:31, 14 January 2015

Oh, not sure if being in a squad affects it.

I did all my testing for those two orders in the Solo Raid, but not while in a squad. I wouldn't think it'd affect it, though.

Iyasenu (talk)14:36, 14 January 2015

First run: I got hit twice by the staff under Berserk, it didn't count. :/

Second run: I got hit again while armored, taking 1s, 5s, and 7s, again it didn't count.

Third run: ... Not sure if I want to keep risking my gear. I got hit by the staff thrice for 1 damage each, no counts for daily. However there were a lot of lag spikes so I may have gotten staffed during those times.

Infodude575 (talk)19:58, 17 January 2015

Gain Allies

It seems like you have to use the search parameters? There was a level restricted party that wouldn't let me join when I left it as unrestricted.

Kinda weird that you actually have to choose restricted/unrestricted though. Then again there might be other MMOs that have a raid search function like this...

Infodude575 (talk)23:42, 3 January 2015

Yeah, your search parameters have to match an existing party's/squad's parameters exactly. Level restrictions, difficulty, and all.

TLMike (talk)01:55, 4 January 2015

Would help to detail where to find Squad Matching System.

I haven't done raids much so I have no idea.

Sakura502 (talk)16:25, 6 January 2015

Looking over it again, it doesn't even explain how to use the squad matching system. It only says the squad captain doesn't need to make a squad through that way.

I haven't run any tests so I have very limited knowledge on how the system works. All I know is you talk to the emblem, click Raid List, click Squad Search, set difficulty and level restriction parameters to exactly match the squad, and jump in.

Something about the system is really wonky though. I tried jumping into a Normal raid using the system with every level parameter and it wouldn't let me for some reason. I have no idea if the person made the squad through the emblem or not though.

Infodude575 (talk)16:40, 6 January 2015

The system /is/ pretty wonky. I've done a bunch of tests and it seems like the level restrictions mess the thing up a lot of the time. But, most of the time, I can get it to work with a Squad that hasn't been made through the matching system, that's just set at any difficulty without level restrictions.

TLMike (talk)17:03, 6 January 2015

Trophy of War fulfillment.

So, the in-game req says "Gain 'Apostle's Shining Shard' from Girgashiy. And, the first week, I solo'd me a Hardened Shard and the req was fulfilled. Natural conclusion: Oh, any shard will complete this req. This was the nature of the contribution I made to this page. Just now, I solo'd me a Hardened Shard, and I got diddly for it. Does anyone know what gives?

TLMike (talk)16:58, 25 December 2014

Unfortunately, it is only "Apostle's Shining Shard", because my Hard Raid Team, few of members who got two materials (Leathers, Hardened, etc), but did not have Shining Shard drop and thus did not fulfill "Gain 'Apostle's Shining Shard' from Girgashiy" daily.

Jiuhin (talk)10:40, 28 December 2014

I picked up a Hardened Shard before a Shining in Hard and it didn't count.

Infodude575 (talk)00:36, 31 December 2014

Nexon "fixed" that requirement during last maintenance

The Lazy but truthful~10:26, 31 December 2014

Thaaaaat's what I thought.

TLMike (talk)16:34, 31 December 2014

Finishing Blow

Does it have to be the last hit that completes the mission or hit when Girgashiy has "finish" above it? Or both?

Infodude575 (talk)00:36, 31 December 2014

doesn't really matter, As If you run solo version of girgashiy and beat it you automatically get the finishing blow regardless.

The Lazy but truthful~10:26, 31 December 2014

Talking about party play...

Infodude575 (talk)12:00, 31 December 2014

its the finish above it. if your'e curious.

The Lazy but truthful~14:04, 31 December 2014

So... all I've gotten are a couple of Hardened Shards and Leather from Normal, and a Sharpened and Shining Shard on Hard...

Does he really drop Divine Weapons?

I've heard that Solo and Normal have a chance to drop items, Easy doesn't drop anything, and Hard has a 100% chance to drop two items?

Infodude575 (talk)12:18, 27 December 2014

I can confirm that Hard has a 100% chance of dropping two material items. Sometimes 1 weapon, but it seems to be pretty rare. In Normal, it seems to be 50/50 whether you get an item or not, as some folk in the party will get items and some won't. I heard tell that Weapons can drop in Normal, but I haven't seen that personally. I've never heard of anyone getting a Weapon in Solo.

TLMike (talk)19:28, 27 December 2014

In Normal, weapons can drop as well, just probably more rarer than in Hard.

Windmill triggering Mineral Hail

Edited by author.
Last edit: 00:35, 16 December 2014

However windmill will cause Girgashiy to use Mineral Hail.

Mineral Hail has a cooldown of 40 seconds, so there's no way he can spam it. But is it a really bad tactic?

The video here, on Hard, shows Girgashiy barely retaliating. And NOT ONCE does it try to use Mineral Hail.

Infodude575 (talk)00:35, 16 December 2014

The real issue would not be whether or not he used Mineral Hail, but whether or not the team could effectively deal damage without the shield, spike, blade combo, wouldn't it?

Neo (talk)00:46, 16 December 2014

It depends on it, even with Windmill spam, he can use it, besides Joey's video of HM raid only show from 45%, not a full run of 100% to 0%. Again, it depends on each of raid members in party of 16. Even without Mineral Hail, the Holy Contagion and Holy Confinement combined in Hard is really dangerous. In my Hard Runs, of course with that tactic, it is not 100% successful, sometimes he ended up using Mineral Hail.

Jiuhin (talk)01:08, 16 December 2014

If it's not using hail occasionally because of windmill then I think that line could be removed. IMO it seems like a deterrent from a valid tactic.

Infodude575 (talk)01:57, 16 December 2014

This was taken on Apostle Difficulty. Contagion was used 6 times, Confinement 4, Fanaticism 1, and Soul Absorption 1. Mineral Hail was only used during the set-up, but not during the windmilling.

Infodude575 (talk)16:06, 17 December 2014

The person who told me this was only talking about Easy mode.

Sakura502 (talk)16:10, 17 December 2014

I haven't seen a windmill party on easy yet... But it wouldn't make sense if Windmill actively triggered Mineral Hail on only Easy but not on Normal/Hard/Apostle.

Infodude575 (talk)16:16, 17 December 2014

I've done some runs on easy where people used windmill, it made it rather difficult in fact, because it kept him from using Mineral Hail.

Neo (talk)16:33, 17 December 2014

The point of this thread is to disprove that Windmill actively triggers Mineral Hail, because it seems to deter a lot of people from using a valid tactic.

Infodude575 (talk)17:06, 17 December 2014

His post does disprove it though, in some ways.

Because he used WM, Mineral Hail wasn't used.

Sakura502 (talk)17:12, 17 December 2014

Yes, which is the opposite of what your friend said. So that sentence is false and needs to be removed.

Infodude575 (talk)17:14, 17 December 2014

Spamming WM causes it to switch aggros, and thus he doesn't use Mineral Hail.

WM solo though?

Sakura502 (talk)17:19, 17 December 2014

It says "several members". The tip could be modified if need be.

There could be some solo tips. I only completed it once and I'm never doing it again. >.> Though, all you really need are just high-damage attacks and a high ranked Shield of Trust.

Infodude575 (talk)17:22, 17 December 2014

I'd say its valid, but only when it meets certain conditions. 1st: The must be enough high damage players to deal sufficient damage. 2nd: It isn't a training run.

Neo (talk)18:09, 17 December 2014

So..seeing this and I will clear it up, Windmill spamming, if doing "Non-Stop" will prevent him from using Mineral Hail, no matter what in any difficulty.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, he can use Mineral Hail after Windmill used, and no it will not cause him to use it right away, it depends on AI and HP he is currently in. I had him use hail after his successful/canceled skill.

Few days ago in my Hard Runs: Windmill was successfully executed (A member did it) --> Girgashiy's AI reset --> Girgashiy uses Soul Absorption (His HP was currently at 22% that time) --> Girgashiy's Soul Absorption canceled or finished (We canceled it) --> Girgashiy uses Mineral Hail (Girgashiy has not used Mineral Hail until now after canceled Soul Absorption).

So what happened? Because the Windmill is not used again after Soul Absorption was cancelled, therefore AI was not reset and due to that, Girgashiy immediately used Mineral Hall after that. So, to prevent it, windmill spam was necessary to keep resetting his AI so he can't use Mineral Hail (It varies after number of successful/canceled skill he used, it can happen after single or few skill used).

As a bonus, I will tell you, when Windmill was used, Girgashiy doesn't attack or use any skills for at least 1.0-1.2 seconds (At least half of Windmill's spinning animation).

Jiuhin (talk)23:30, 20 December 2014

Given that Raid Dungeons are basically Shadow Missions (Adniel, Monster Merc, etc), should this be formatted as such?

Infodude575 (talk)13:19, 13 December 2014

Unless there's something they have that Shadow Missions don't, I see no reason otherwise.

Even if they have something different, we could just consider a Shadow Mission to be a simpler Raid.

Doomsday31415 (talk)15:21, 13 December 2014
