More Guidance?

Shouldn't we put up more information with the Ideals such as, NPC only will take players of opposite sex into consideration, and whether a player meets the ideal condition need to be online etc. on this page? --Kgptzac 20:46, 8 June 2008 (PDT)

Ranalds alternate Ideal?

Through some research of NPC chatting and such I've come to understand that Ranald, is enamored with Endelyon, but to test this theory VIA ideals, I'd need to actually get past G1. I'd like to see this theory confirmed or denied and if confirmed applied to the page.

Ceo Island?

Is there any real reason why Muro is off under his own heading? Most who have done Ideals will know that Muro is actually an Emain ideal so wouldn't it be better to include him in the Emain listing with a note?

Using pets, transformations

It is possible to use your pet if they have 50k on them for Jennifer in Bangor. Guess she's not that picky.

Male elves with Falcon can be used for Agnes in Emain.

What's been discovered is that someone who is transformed can still work for an Ideal provided there is no armor or title requirement. So this may also work for Stewart in Dunbarton, but someone needs to try it.

Quick question with "clothes < Xk"'s

do u have to be wearing any clothes?? if yes, does beginner clothes work?

I don't know if beginner clothes work. I think you have to wear some kind of clothing that is the requirement of the idea. For example, one of Stewart's ideal requirements is to have a clothing that is less than 50k (NPC buy, I think). So, a Popo Skirt should do the trick since it's only 600 gold. --Caellian 11:42, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

• More than that, I can think of no reason for there to be no reason for some of the listed items to be called something other than their in-game name (for example, calling Traditional Costume (F) "Traditional Clothing of Tir Chonaill), so I'm changing those too.
• Alright, I'm done. There were a few items that were left with ambiguous names (for example, Healer Dress), or were otherwise unidentifiable (nowhere other than this page in the wiki is a mention of a "Luey's Priest Robe", and the page for Luey's Ruffled Apron Dress is the only page with a reference to the word "Luey" or "Luey's", and it's a stub.). I'll list the items that need clarification:
  • Dragon Girl Chinese Wear. My guess is that it means Sky Dragon Wear (F), but since it can't be certain, I didn't change it.
  • Healer Dress. This could be either the Cores' Healer Dress or Ailionoa's Healer Dress, and without testing it's impossible to know.
  • OL suit. I don't even know how to figure out what this is supposed to be.
  • Rose Bunches. I'm suspecting that it's a Floral Coronet, given that it says it's supposed to be in hair. The other possibility is that it's a Rose Bouquet.
  • Hammer. There are a lot of kinds of hammers. I'm suspecting that it means a warhammer, but again, without testing...
  • Luey's Priest Coat. Reasons stated above.
  • Long Leather Coat. There were two possibilities for this, the Long Matte Leather Coat and Long Glossy Leather Coat. I don't know if both count, but once again, without testing, I'm not changing it.
  • Cross Mail. A search in both the Heavy and Light Armors List revealed no items that have a name in any way similar to "Cross Mail", and there were too many items named "Mail" that have a cross in their appearance to just guess.

Duncan

I was doing ideals for someone and Duncan didn't accept me despite fulfilling the requirements. I had red hair, red pure eyes, traditional costume, the Wise, and Healing rank 9. I tried it both with having nothing on except the costume and with having my gauntlets and grieves on. I was age 17, had First Aid rank F, 37 str, 372 int, 63 dex, 88 will, and 19 luk. I forgot what my hair style was called, but it was the one with the pony tail.--GN54 18:08, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Age 19 and still no success. Also, it appears that weapons and shields in your alternate weapon slot do not count towards total gold. For instance, you could have a beginner dress on with a kite shield and a Gladius in the alternate slot, but still be Stewart's ideal.

This has now become a dropped project until someone can help me by making the alternate character.

Another Emain Ideal

Has anyone tried asking Aer about her ideal type? If it shows a window (meaning yes) but you don't know any specifications you should put her under emain.Novaix 23:04, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

I believe she already likes Nele. The whole point of the ideal thing, if you felt like reading through it, was to prevent people from throwing rocks at her. Note how when you start a convo with her, she says something like "Are you here to throw rocks at me too?". Because she is a water spirit, she can change her appearance, but she realized that it still hasnt cut down on the number of rock throws, so she wants to know of peoples' ideal type of person. Can the same player be used twice, provided they fit requirements? For example, if I submitted my name for Bryce, would I be able to do it for Comgan? -Ayslia

Deian's hair color requirement

Is there a typo? Because I have red hair, but I can still be Deian's ideal even though both wiki and nexon guide specify brown/light brown hair.

Information is incorrect. Have tried with ages 20, 21, with Pure eyes, meeting skill requirements, wielding a longsword and a round shield. Yet it says the chracter is not an ideal.

It's correct...I've done it before on my character before I changed her eyes... I had Curious Eyes

Most likely not since they have their own weapon IDs but it is a possibility.

It probably does. Chances are it would check item type rather than item ID.

Sort of on the same subject as the "Eyes" thread, but this time it's mopre of a clarification thing. Anyways, the mouths listed under Aodhan's preferences lists mouths such as "small mouth" and "cat mouth". The problem is, those phrasings are ambiguous enough to apply to several different facial options. For example, there are three different options for a mouth related to a cat-like expression, and none of them has a name that matches the one given here exactly.

I don't suppose these things can be solved with a quick peek at the game's code, or is this something that can only be manually tested?

I think that's the actual names found in the Character creation...

One of the problems could be that the names for the eyes/mouths on this ideals list was translated from overseas servers. I don't think anyone has updated it to NA's translation.

Does anyone know if "warm eyes" (listed under Aodhan's) are translated right, or if it even exists? I looked through a human female's eye options and didn't manage to find it.
And on a sort-of-same topic, giants, elves, and humans seem to have a lot of exclusive eye and mouth options. Most of the ideal characteristics here were probably listed around G2, so it focuses on humans only. Can we experiment to see if some of the elves' or the giants' unique eye or mouth options are acceptable to some of the ideals?
