Is "Product Quality" a set bonus? It's on some enchants (e.g. Steady). Basically, does it need 10 points to activate?
I have a trinity set that does 4 Mana Reduction on each item (minus gloves) That gives me 12 reduction, plus 1 point of mana reduction for Construct Alchemist. So, 13 mana reduction. I cast all the spells and documented the cost of mana with and without the reduction effect. It appears that I was only receiving 10% reduction. Can anyone verify for or against these findings?
The mana reduction is set at 10%. The amount of points you have is irrelevant as long as it's 10 or greater. More points doesn't equate to a better bonus.
That is the type of answer I was looking for. Thank you very much.
Do any other bonuses pass the 10 point wall?
"add up to 10 points or more in order to activate it"
"Most sets give a 10-15% boost to their associated skill."
"at least 10 points are required to achieve the desired effect"
The middle one says up to 15%, but there is no information about the caps of each bonus.
The bonus amounts aren't variable. That middle line means that most of effects are a bonus of 10% or 15%, a few are 20%. Like the page says, see Status Effects for specifics.
I'm pretty sure that the page used to specify that getting more than 10 had no additional effect. The fact that someone is asking would suggest we need to make that clear rather than leave it ambiguous.
Spika Silver Plate Armor (Jousting) + Chinese Dragon Boots + Valencia's Cross Line Plate Gauntlet (Giant) + Lava Cat Robe.
4 + 3 + 2 + 2 = 11
Also there's reforges for Set effects, with a possible amount an additional +3 for Gloves, Shoes, Shields or Armor at rank 1 reforge, or rank 2 or 3 can get +2 immunity.
Could we add a link to each page of the sets that have their own combinations leading directly to the "Status Effect" table?
That, or change each page to directly say "+(x)%" of its certain Enhancement. I find having a link to this page (which has two relatively unnoticed links to Status and Effects) but not directly to status effects to be odd.
Well, no anchors are set up on the status effect table, and even if anchors were set up, you'd have a giant table full of links that link to basically the same relative locations, but a few lines up or down. It'd be quite redundant when you could just link to the table once elsewhere in the article.
What you are saying (I think?) is what I mean: On each Set's Page (Example: Trinity, Adonis) the "Enhancement" links directly to the "Status Effects" table.
No links on the actual table itself. Either that, or to show exactly what an Enhancement does (Example: -10% Mana Cost instead of [or below the following words] "Mana Reduction" on the Trinity Set Page).
Unless I am missing something by the term "anchor".
Oh, you mean on the Set's pages? Oops. Misread your post.
Well, then. Don't know about redundancy, but this is the page for set effects. They could eventually find the link to the status effects table.
Or maybe we could have another table here with only the set effects?
When it links to the "Set Effect" page when the person looking for the effect already knows the "Enhancement" by looking at the Set's Page. Linking to another page that just says the same thing is what looks redundant.
I understand it being linked as "view Equipment Combination Effects", but another link (say, the "Healing Enhancement" words themself) that goes direct to the Status Effects would be better, or just putting the exact effect on set Set Page.
Another table might be appropriate, but it might also be unnecessary when they could find it easily on the "Status Effect" table.
Well, the new equipment template links to both this and the status effects page. After I'm done importing the data, I will be going over many other things, including set pages. I will be sure to have it include both, similar to the equipment pages.
In that: Is there any way that I could help with changing the massive amount of templates?
It doesn't seem to be overly complicated, with filling in the data in the correct position, but if anything needs to be clarified to anyone who wishes to do so I would be happy to, if it means to make each template accurate so that you wouldn't have to undo anyone's attempt revision.
Since more have been added, and more might be added in the future (past the Dark Knight Set with Windmill Enhancement), should the "G13 Items" be renamed to something else to allow future unique Combinations?
Shouldnt the gallery be organized by the effect, not the equipment set? Two equipment sets with the same set effect should have the same glow effect, creating redundancy.
What exactly does the "Fishing Enhancement", "Metallurgy Enhancement", etc affect the skill? Does it increase fish size? Fish frequency? What? This page is very vague on terms of how much is effected as well. I think we should reformat this page in a similar way to reforges.
Does the mana reduction from the Trinity set stack with the pre-G13 items, such as Karis? For example, if I have a Karis suit (+4), a feather hat (+4) and trinity shoes (+2), will I have mana reduction status?
My fishing mule character has an Adonis set. Earlier today I went to restock and repair her, and accidentally unequipped her Adonis Bracelet (+1 fishing enhancement, the other three pieces contribute 9) and when I put it back on, the "Fishing Enhancement is taking effect." text flashed and the effect appeared around her character.
This despite the Adonis Wear and Adonis Shoes both being broken. If durability counts, she only had 5 points from non-broken set pieces, so what I'm wondering is, can I just let the whole set break and still enjoy the fishing enhancement?
Someone should make a separate (or merge them with the old effects) table for the new enchancements from G13. I say seperate since these increase the powers of skills instead of giving immunities/reductions, and the old tables top already seems full. --Fibbler 02:20, 23 January 2011 (PST)
Actually some of the new equips give old set effects as well as new effects. I do think the section needs an overhaul though. The current iteration is unnecessarily bulky and rather unwieldy.
Until such time as somebody can make the whole thing neater and tidier, I have added a differently structured section for the new G13 sets. I figure having the information there is better than having nothing, at the very least.
